"The homestay owner was very enthusiastic and helpful. It located right at the entrance of the Shaxi ancient town, very convenient for traveling. The owner also helped us book a chartered bus to Lijiang the next day. The room was equipped with 2-way air conditioning and heating mat, very spacious and clean. "A truly beautiful and welcoming place. we fully enjoyed our stay at this great hotel. They helped us with everything we needed and made our stay there just perfect. "We absolutely loved our stay in Shaxi! The hotel is located right in the ancient town, and cars can drive directly to the entrance — super convenient for travelers with luggage. The place itself is stunning, with a beautiful traditional design that made us feel like we were living in an old mansion from ancient times. The staff were thoughtful and attentive; they even checked on us since we’re foreigners and offered help whenever needed. At night, we were served warm milk right in our room — such a lovely touch! "到沙溪的第一晚選擇的潯春，不枉我在攜程搜了一整天，很滿意👍
設施：設施非常齊全，智能馬桶，水暖毯，中央空調，該有的都有。衞浴都是很好的牌子，裝修很有格調和品位，清一色的實木傢俱，燈光明亮。水暖毯和空調最好睡覺前提前把温度調高一點，這樣睡覺的時候再把温度調低也不冷。
衞生：很乾凈整潔，被子摸上去滑溜溜的，很舒服。
環境：院子很漂亮，鮮花隨處可見，可以看出老闆是費了心思的。

We believe Shaxi is a must-visit in Yunnan. It’s not only an authentic Bai minority village but also a beautiful, peaceful place to disconnect from stress.
If you’re looking for a truly clean 👍🏻, comfortable stay with peaceful nature views in Shaxi, this is your place. This family-run Bai guesthouse shows real care and investment in every detail, from spotless rooms to thoughtful touches that make you feel at home.
The beds and pillows are genuinely comfortable, and quiet nights guarantee real rest. Amenities here are better than anywhere else we stayed in Yunnan, and unlike listings that overpromise, this place truly delivers on cleanliness.
The free shuttle to Shaxi Old Town (5-7 min) is a big plus. We were upgraded to a better room, enjoyed simple Western touches at breakfast, and were invited to dinner with fresh homegrown produce 😍.

RRenee C.I had a very pleasant stay at 沙溪归尘 and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Shaxi who is looking for a clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully run homestay.
Room & Facilities
The house is very clean and well maintained — everything feels new and well cared for. My room was cozy and comfortable, and the bed was especially nice, which helped me rest well. One thing I really appreciated was that the room even had a washing machine, which is a big plus for longer trips.
The garden is also lovely and adds to the calm, relaxed atmosphere of the place.
Breakfast & Thoughtful Touches
Breakfast was prepared by the owner, and the 米线 (mixian) was honestly the best I had during my entire Yunnan trip — comforting, well-balanced, and made with care. Before bedtime, the owner even brought us a warm glass of milk 🥛, which was such a thoughtful and heart-warming gesture.
Location & Morning Mist at 玉津桥
One important thing to note for travelers who plan to catch the morning mist or sunrise at 玉津桥: the homestay does not provide early-morning transfer services, only after 9:00am. The homestay is about 1.5km from 玉津桥, so it’s important to arrange your own transport in advance (for example, 小黄车).
I learned this a bit late — at around 7:30am — and almost missed the sunrise timing. Walking there in the early morning was very cold and takes about 30minutes for 1.5km. Luckily, I after walked for a while I met a very kind local let’s call him “小白车师傅” who had just dropped his child at school near the homestay. He generously gave me a free ride to the bridge. Thanks to him, I managed to make it in time.
Minor Miscommunication
At check-in, I was told there would be unlimited transfers to Shaxi Ancient Town, so I assumed that an early drop-off closer to the town (and then walking to the bridge) might be possible. However, in the morning, the owner needed to stay back to prepare breakfast and couldn’t leave. This was a small miscommunication, and it would be helpful if early-morning transport limitations were clarified more clearly in advance.
Overall Impression
Other than this minor issue, my stay at 沙溪归尘 was truly pleasant. The cleanliness, comfort, homemade breakfast, and thoughtful details made it a very warm and memorable experience. I would still happily recommend this homestay and would consider staying again — just with early transport planned ahead next time.

BBob57We had an unforgettable stay here — by far the best hotel of our journey through China.
From the very beginning, the owner gave us the warmest welcome. The room was beautifully decorated with great taste, and we especially enjoyed the large balcony, perfectly arranged with two chairs, a table, and even a lounge bed.
The bathroom was extremely pleasant, modern and spotless, and even equipped with state-of-the-art Japanese toilets — a real luxury during our trip.
The owner went far beyond our expectations: she personally accompanied us on a walk through the forest to a truly picturesque village, providing fascinating explanations along the way. She also took care of our laundry, and when it came time to pay, she kindly told us that everything was included in the price of the room.
The breakfast was simply royal, with great variety and generous portions.
Throughout our stay, we were constantly surprised by the generosity of the service: all drinks (including bottled orange juice), as well as fruits, pastries, and other homemade treats she offered us, were completely free of charge.
This hotel is an absolute gem, and we recommend it wholeheartedly.

We discovered a charming new homestay in Shaxi, conveniently located within walking distance of Shaxi Ancient Town, the filming location for the drama series ”Meet Yourself 去有风的地方.” During our visit, we noticed many tourists capturing photos at the various shooting locations, adding a lively atmosphere to the area. Unlike Dali Ancient Town, Shaxi feels less commercialized, which enhances its authentic charm.
One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying a marvelous mushroom hotpot at Tea Horse Road; it was definitely worth every penny. The flavors were exquisite, and the experience was truly memorable.
Our room was clean and well-equipped with modern bathroom amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, one minor discomfort was that the toilet did not have a door, which might be a consideration for some guests.
The owner of the homestay was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They brewed a delightful welcome tea for us and provided hot milk, which was a lovely touch. Additionally, they assisted us in arranging transportation from Shaxi to Lijiang, making our travel plans much easier. Overall, our experience at the homestay was enjoyable, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and authentic stay in Shaxi.

AAnTrieThe hotel boasts a charming courtyard with plants, trees, a small pond, and seating.
The room was modern and equipped with everything we needed, including comfortable underfloor heating. The well-lit, spacious bathroom with plenty of hooks and shelves was a particular highlight.
Everything was spotlessly clean.
One small drawback: the beds were very hard.
The service was excellent. Breakfast even included Western-style sandwiches and a variety of coffees. The staff was friendly and helpful. The owner speaks English, which was very helpful for us as foreigners, and she also assisted us with organizing our onward journey to Jianchuan.
A big thank you to the entire team – we felt completely at ease and highly recommend this hotel.

小院也很有情調，選個舒服的躺椅坐下，煮一壺陳年普洱，聽風吹過竹林的沙沙聲。陽光透過雕花窗欞，在茶桌上投下細碎的光影，時間彷彿在這裏按下了暫停鍵。午後沿着院外石子路漫步，牆角的花草開得正盛，與白牆相映成趣，隨手一拍都是自帶濾鏡的古風大片。
傍晚時分，庭院裏的宮燈亮起，暖黃的光線温柔地籠罩着整個園子。此時什麼都不用想，衹需坐在迴廊下，感受晚風拂面，聞着草木的清香，享受這份獨屬於沙溪的安逸與寧靜。

Os proprietários foram incrivelmente gentis e atenciosos, fazendo-nos sentir muito acolhidos e à vontade. Foi muito fácil se locomover pela Cidade Antiga de Shaxi.

裝修非常有特色和品味。房間裏有一些老物件和手作裝飾，細節處處是巧思。我住的房間窗外就是鄉間田野，超級喜歡，晚上也特別安靜，睡得非常好
