High Corner Inn

Great service and delicious food at the High Corner Inn. We enjoyed our time here meeting family, very pleased that this pub was recommended to us all. Ruby has been exceptional…very professional and full of smiles. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon! We will be back again.

The High Corner is much improved and was very busy. Mia,our waitress was excellent, very polite and was very accommodating. One of the “no worries” “no problems” or “cool”. We will be back.In fact we have another booking for a group on ladies in a couple of weeks.

I travel to the New Forest at least 3 times a year and have done for the past 22 years. High Corner Inn is by far the best place I have stayed and I'm already looking at booking again in a couple of months. Firstly the staff were amazing. Very accommodating, friendly and nothing was too much for them. As I mainly travel solo with my dog it's nice to have a chat with staff and feel at ease being on my own. They certainly deserve the first mention on my review. I dined at the pub all three evenings and the food was so good. Fresh and reasonably priced. Their Sunday roasts are delicious!! Their breakfasts were also incredible with a good selection of food and great coffee!! I loved the dog hydration section of the pub with so many bowls of water constantly being refreshed! The grounds are beautiful and my room was gorgeous. Spotless with a bath as big as my whole bathroom at home! I love, love, LOVE this place.

Isolated location in the New Forest the food, drinks and service were excellent, as was the accommodation. Had a 1 night stay before getting a cruise from Southampton and what a great way to unwind. Blessed with hot weather we enjoyed lunch and breakfast outside, and dinner in the restaurant. And for those hoping to see ponies , there were approx 50 on the lane and in the car park itself (they seem to like to restaurant's extractor fan). Happy to recommend.

We really enjoyed our time and look forward to our next visit We felt relaxed and at ease. The room was spacious and comfortable. All the staff were friendly welcoming. The area is adding to the experience. It was a short weekend stay, but we intend to come back for a longer visit. Thank you to all.

This is a truly great place to go nestled down a country track the location is truly special . Service started off very good , and after an hour went hugely downhill waiting 25 minutes for a ‘decontstructed cheesecake’ not explained on menu . It was also just whipped cream with the tiniest hint of lemon and poached plums not sure any cream cheese went into it . It’s a shame really because up until the dessert we’d had a great meal with great service. If you can’t handle walk ins don’t take them. We will be back I’m sure but get the service consistent!

Went for 4 adult Sunday roasts and 2 child meals. Very quick service but food was tasteless, cold and lacking in vegetables. Roast chicken meal with sage and onion stuffing served up with no stuffing! Spoke to waitress who returned with a small plate with 4 tiny pieces of stuffing for 3 adults - it certainly wasn’t sage and onion. She told us that was all there was! 3 of these meals were £24.95 each! Nobody came and checked with us if food was ok. We asked for bill at end of meal and told the waitress how disappointed we were. She said she would fetch the Manager. He came to speak to us and to his credit, listened to our complaints and told us this was not what we should expect for the prices charges and took the cost of all the adult meals off the bill. Totally polite and courteous response from the Manager who was a credit to the establishment and to the hospitality industry as a whole. Others could learn a lesson in customer service from him.

Lovely Inn with great location. We enjoyed our stay. Several staff stood out. Thank you Charlotte for professionalism, you made us feel very welcome. Zoe for your sense of humour. Mike for your hard work during breakfast, and Mike in the kitchen. Beautifully presented food. The Venison was delicious. We stayed in the Kingfisher room. Beautifully presented. There is a room above so a certain amount of noise particularly from the television they had on until 11.00 pm.

Food left us feeling queasy. Drinks came late after the food. We were sitting in drafty room with an open kitchen hatch behind us. This was made worse went the staff went out and left the door open. They were so busy they had run out of cups to serve tea/coffee - not given any idea how long the wait would be and gave up. Only thing that was good was the beer.
