While I will allow that the rooms were spacious and the bed comfortable, we were not treated well by the front desk clerk. We were in town for an evening wedding. We were out for much of the day, but arrived back in late afternoon to dress for the event. We ran the shower for at least 10 minutes waiting for cold water. Suddenly, the water stopped running. I went to see the desk clerk personally to report the issue and she told me that plumbers were working on a leak and that it would be on in 10 minutes. 10 minutes passed and no water. My wife called the desk clerk and asked when we could expect the water as we needed to get ready for the event. The clerk came to the room, tried to make light of the issue and said the plumbers didn't see any cars in the parking lot so they assumed it was okay to turn the water off. (They obviously felt the need to shut the water off to the entire facility, not just the room in which they were working. The parking lot was pretty empty, but our car was there, so I can't say how carefully they checked before turning off the water.) The clerk said the water would be on soon. Another 10 minutes passed and no water. My wife called again and said the desk clerk pretended not to hear her on the phone. It was over a half hour before the water service was returned, but with no hot water. My wife took a cold shower and we rushed to be to the event on time. If the hotel knew in advance of the work, a phone message to all of the rooms would have been the least they could have done. We could have planned accordingly.
