Very small boutique hotel. The staff is warm, friendly, and attentive. We stayed in a Superior Double Room with a View. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. We had to extend our stay as Munich was shut down due to a snowstorm and they were able to accomodate us. The view was beautiful. Plenty of hot water. Filtered water provided free of charge. What we didn't love: Staff/Mgmt difficult or impossible to reach via email or social media messaging. Not ideal for internatiinal travelers. - If you book a street-facing room, prepare for road noise well into the wee hours of the morning and then again at 8am. Pack earplugs if this disturbs you. - The culinary package, listed all over their website, no longer exists. If you eat there, you will pay the menu price. We booked the unforgettable moments package, thinking that was their culinary package, it is not. That package will cover breakfast only which seems off as booking a room and paying for breakfast would have been cheaper. This misunderstanding resulted in an unanticipated charge of approximately 200 Euro give or take. While we inquired, we didn't argue or fuss. We paid in full, but of course we were less than pleased. - Due to the snowstorm, staff was unable to reach the hotel and service was impacted. The staff that managed to arrive functioned admirably, however, service was impacted. For a three night stay, turndown service and towel and tidy was only done on our first night. We noticed the manager made it in the day we checked out, but she made no apology, and we made no fuss. Still, not what one expects from a 'luxury' hotel, or at least, what we personally have experienced from luxury hotels in the past. Even without a snowstorm, one gets the feel that they are way over their heads, over-allocated, etc, or new to hospitality. Light switches are finicky and not intuitive (you'll see if you stay). As we had a great experience with one staff member in particular, we cannot in good conscience, leave a bad review, however, this establishment did not meet expectations in terms of upfront pricing and producing its touted amenities. There are many luxury options in Munich and we've been fortunate to stay in a few of them. For us, this hotel is not one we will consider in the future as there were too many unexpected variables in cost and service. We feel they may be too small to provide a consistent experience and at their price point that's not acceptable to us. Your mileage may vary.
