"I’ll start by saying, when I read some of the reviews on here I actually contacted my travel agent to try and change hotels a few weeks before our stay, the cost turned out to be a lot to change the booking so we decided against it and I’m so glad we did. I understand people have different experiences but I cannot relate to the negative reviews on here. We had a fabulous stay as a family of 4, we stayed for 10 days and none of us wanted to leave. Yes, if you look hard enough you will find tired areas and slight room for improvements but I could probably do that in most hotels that I’ve stayed in. The new owners are clearly making more and more improvements as time goes on and I could see it being changed to a 4 star when they’ve finished. For example, whilst we were staying there they changed all the umbrellas round the pool areas to brand new ones and even that made such a difference. The pool areas are amazing, our room was right on the side of the kids pool which was a great location for us as that’s where my children were for most of the holiday! The slides are fantastic and the pool was cleaned 4 times whilst we were there and it was never unclean. The main pool was the same, lots of fun although you can’t have large floats in the pool so keep that in mind. They also play music round the main pool which created a good atmosphere, not by the kids pool though and the pool bar was right next to the main pool area. The rooms are a really good size, I’ve stayed in other hotels in Corralejo and they’ve been nowhere near as big and they were 4* hotels so I was really pleased with the rooms. When people say they are “basic” I’m not sure what else you could need, big bathroom, plenty of space, air conditioning, balcony space for outside seating, place to dry your clothes etc I would struggle to think of anything else people could need. They were regularly cleaned and towels changed. The food in the restaurant was actually really good, again I was worried about it with some of the reviews but we loved the food, plenty to choose from, some gorgeous salads and my kids ate really well the whole time they were there. Different themes every night, the kebab night was a personal favourite of ours and the pizzas were lovely. We ate out a couple of nights as we wanted to go to some restaurants in the area and all of us after eating out said we should have just stayed in the hotel for food as it wasn’t as good and cost us money! The drinks were also great, cocktail of the day went down a treat and the kids loved the slushies. Snack bar we didn’t use loads as we found the breakfast and lunch sufficient but some days the kids had a hot dog or some pastries and fruit etc, no complaints with that. The staff were really great, entertainment staff were so lovely and put on some great night time entertainment, the white party on Fridays are amazing! "I came here for 7 days on my 18th birthday with my boyfriend, had a lovely week but there is a few things that really brought it down. All of the staff were lovely the entertainment team work very hard with some very good shows in the evening. Room was decent up to standards apart from the shower barley draining had to put down towels to soak it up. Have to pay to use the safe. Mini bar is just an empty fridge We are british and the majority of people staying here are french and all the bar menus are written in french and people are completely rude, it is a very busy hotel as it is july and plenty of people with no manners walking into u with harsh stares and no friendly vibe. The pools are lovely one heated and one non heated. As the same at all hotels everyone reserves their sunbeds in the mornings so its very hard to get one if you dont Pool bar always has a very long line so be prepared to wait. Beaches and sights outisde of the hotel are great very windy as expected. along with escooters to rent for cheap right outside was a great time. Food is not good. The buffet restraunt is very busy and again rude people walking all infront of you and cuttting in. The food in my opinion was not nice or children/picky eater friendly at all. Overall it was an okay stay but defo would not come back. No fault of the staff they were lovely and worked their hardest"

"O Hotel fica longe de tudo , no meio do nada. Para se deslocar ao resortvmais perto so de Taxi. Os apt sao grandes mas precisam de manutencao .O staff eh mal educado e nada profissional . O bar funciona mal muito mal a limpeza nao existe a unica coisa que fazem eh as camas .A roupa da cama eh a mesma durante 8 dias .Falta de toalhas.Foram 10 dias terriveis ."

"A very lame attitude of the stuff/company policy. The hotel is just average, yet asking an all inclusive customer to pay extra for a drink, just because I was standing at the bar queue at 23:01 (one minute late) is just pathetic. I hope the 11 euros will change your life for the better. Together with the bar at 23:00 the music goes down as well. Just don’t expect too much of the place."

"It was the most terrible hotel I have ever seen. We read the reviews and decided to go. The hotel is extremely old. Renovation has not been possible for more than 50 years. The walls are cracked, the elevator trembles and shakes, the doors are broken. Ventilation system doesn’t work right. It’s very cold at night, the furniture is damp, the bed is damp. Heating doesn’t work. Old musty smell everywhere. We asked for an extra blanket and were given old damp rags. The windows don’t close so the wind blows constantly. The furniture has been eaten by insects and there is a lot of rust in the bathroom. It’s not at all clear who writes positive reviews. It’s wasted money. There is a TUI office in the hotel. That is , this means that the TUI employees know that the hotel is in disrepair and people cannot be accommodated there. We were disappointed in TUI. The only positive thing is that the staff are professional."
