Best location! It was near and easy going around Yosemite park from this hotel. Right outside our room was the river and it was the best sight specially in the morning. Love the big bath tub with jets! Just needs more cleaning coz i noticed it has got molds already. There is absolutely no phone signal here and Wifi is not free so you have to purchase on check in. Funny tho coz once you are in Yosemite park, there is LTE signal. There is fridge, cooking utensils, electric stove, plates, cups, cleaning stuff, room was huge!! We got the 2 queen beds room type. The food in their restaurant is not so bad, the service could be better tho. Our food came super slow. There is plenty of parking space and its for free. I never get to try their pool and laundry facilities.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff we met were all very courteous. We were a little surprised that they didn’t know much about Mariposa Grove, the sequoia forest in Yosemite, but they Googled it and helped with visitor information. Breakfast isn’t available onsite, but we found a nearby dinner. Coffee making facilities are included in the room. I was pleased that they have a pool, but confused to find it locked at 8.30am, when the sign on the gate says it opens at 8am. I found another sign in Reception saying it opens at 9am. Management would do well to decide on a single opening time and communicate that clearly. The pool also was overdue a clean. There is free parking onsite, but a downside of proximity to the main road is the sound of trucks passing from 5am. This place was clean and functional, and a reasonable base for exploring Yosemite, being midway between Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove.

We stayed with our 2 dogs and this property was very welcoming. I called in advance to remind the hotel that I would be bringing dogs and she went over the pet policy with me. Upon check in I was given a pet waste holder with bags and told where I could walk my dogs. There is a nearby park that was super shady to walk them. The room we had did not have carpet, but tile flooring which was great for dog hair and made me feel like it was cleaner than carpet for pets. My dogs were comfortable and slept very well.

The food at Jackalope was excellent. I had the rib-eye steak and it was perfectly cooked. My husband had the short ribs and they were absolutely amazing. Definitely 5-stars for the food and service. Although it was just my husband and me, I liked that they had a kiddie pool. All I could think of was my grandchildren enjoying playing in it all day. They also have three adult pools and jacuzzi. My only complaint is that we ran out of towels poolside. The facilities were clean and inviting. This was our first time staying at a hotel/lodge since COVID, so we discovered at Tenaya room cleaning is not automatic. If you want your room cleaned you have to schedule it 24-hours in advance. Read the fine print. Overall, it a great place to stay for visiting Yosemite.

I have been to Yosemite many times, and this hotel is the most satisfying one. The hotel is very new and the sanitation is not bad. I moved in at the beginning of September, and the weather was just right. Because I was tired of living in the RV, I booked a tent house this time. There are fans, electric fireplaces, cooking utensils, refrigerators, etc., and there seems to be an electric blanket on the bed. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. It is only 15 to 20 minutes from the Big Oak Flat gate for Yosemite National Park and provides an excellent base for visiting the park. Munuj and his wife were excellent hosts and although housekeeping is not provided on a daily basis this was a common finding in other hotels during our stay in California. Housekeeping was offered after we had stayed 2 nights. We had a ground floor room and parking the car outside the room was reassuring. The Lucky Buck diner was only a 50 yard walk and provided traditional diner fare with excellent quality and reasonable prices. Overall we had an excellent stay.
