Overall I enjoyed staying at this property. Despite the proximity to the airport, the only time I could hear airplanes overhead was when I was outside.
I was intown for work at the Kentucky Convention Center, and it was very easy to go to and from there. The parking lot at this time of the year was completely open and I had limitless options to park where and how I wanted.
I'm taking half a point away from my score for the bed. I'm not sure if I've chosen poorly in recent months when choosing hotels, or if it's a growing trend across the industry, but this and several other hotels I've stayed at have had extremely uncomfortable beds. Thin mattress, very little padding or support, and are hard as a rock.
I've stayed at a Super 8 with the same bed for half the cost.
As someone with chronic back pain and as someone who is on the heavier side, I wish ******* had a section where hotels could share if the hotel's beds are hard, thin, pillow topped, or give any indication as to what to expect, as this feels like the end-all-be-all most important piece of information one would need when choosing where to stay.
I'm taking another half point away for the inconsistent breakfast options. I don't eat meat for health reasons, so I originally thought that the only hot food options for me were the eggs. But, then the next day there were suddenly egg sandwiches available. And each day was something different, meaning I had no idea what I did or didn't have available until I checked.
