We attended a wedding just outside of Lamont in August 2022. When initially booking in March, it was called the Heartland Hotel, and the experience was foreboding. I spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to book two nights, was finally told I was successful but was also told that, in the process, all the previously booked rooms for other guests had somehow been erased - would I please let the bride and groom know. Like what ...???? Fast forward to August. Upon arrival, Evan politely informed me that we were only booked for one evening and that ”we” really had a problem. This individual in March had, I'm sure, messed up more than his fair share of reservations. And then.....in walks Charlie. Aside from being engaging, friendly, always exuding positivity, and the epitome of hospitality, she is also efficient as hell. Rooms were reassigned and manipulated so that somehow we were able to spend two evenings in what was supposed to be an already fully booked hotel. Apparently not. When the shuttle failed to arrive to take us to the wedding, she personally offered to chauffer us to the wedding venue (we didn't take her up on it). I also forgot my cell phone charger. Having arrived home 400 km later, I phoned and was incredibly relieved to hear her say she'd track it down and make sure I got it - and I did. This woman should be conducting classes in the hospitality industry, if not running the chain of Days Inns. May you be blessed enough to run into her if you ever have occasion to stay at this hotel - which, as an aside, is modern, immaculately clean, convenient, and runs quite an amazing continental breakfast.
