Building B: Cleanliness, room equipment, standard services, except for the air conditioner. The weather is hot during this period. The air filter isn't clogged, but the air conditioner air is light. It's probably too small to handle. The walkways inside the building and the outside building are old. Building A has already been renovated.

The accommodation is located not far from Mueang Kanchanaburi District. Convenient transportation, there is a parking lot. It is many buildings, Building 1 has 3 floors in total, each building requires stairs, no elevator. There is a beautiful scenery next to the River Kwai and not far from the bridge over the River Kwai, the price of 1000 early. But there is a fee of 500 baht per dog. For a small room, there are single and double beds, and there is a balcony in front of the room with 1 set of tables. The main swimming pool is available and there is a cafe as well as a waterfront restaurant. The overall atmosphere is good. Dogs can come in the cafe and restaurant. The food is served in the middle of the taste. And in the breakfast section, it is a good set. A dog can be brought to every part of the hotel, but must be in the care of the owner.

Petit déjeuner correct . Nous sommes enchantés de cette étape NB : prévoir un moyen de locomotion pour se rendre en ville facilement ( 10 km )

Located about 7km north west of the town, the staff are all friendly and helpful. I have rented a small motorbike to get me around, a necessity which means I can go where and when I desire, small money so no problem! Have been to the cemeteries and museums to pay my respect to ALL who suffered during those darkest of days. I have also been to the original wooden bridge constructed by the POW’s and others, it is located in the JEATH museum adjacent to the bridge that is in use these days. Entry cost 50 Baht, and there is so much to see that I took two hours inside, would recommend a morning visit so you can view the many items and read the facts behind them at your leisure. The museum has been set up by a local man and is most definitely worth visiting. 100% value for money! I mentioned to a Thai man inside that we were so grateful that people around the area did try to ease the suffering of the POWs, risking their own necks by doing so. My mother was an innocent child at 7 years old, alongside her mother and little sister she waved goodbye to her father, John Francis Egan, he said he was going to work for a while!! After working in Turkey, his ANZAC unit were moved on to Italy, to partake in one of the harder campaigns of the war. His life was taken by a German bullet at Mount Casino, alongside many many others! Please understand how one can feel. I try my hardest to be non judgmental and tolerant these days. I have not walked in your shoes and do not know your story. “Footsteps in the sand” comes to mind at this moment. I have PTSD myself, and I knew coming to Kanchanaburi may get emotional, and it has. Now my mother is 88 years young, and became a great grandma for the second time two weeks ago. Apologies if it got too personal, started as a review of the Phoo Tawan hotel. Words are insufficient, our gratitude to all who risked their own lives and those that paid the ultimate price. Life is precious, please enjoy the moment. We recently spent two nights at U inchantree. The property has a beautiful location right on the river Kwai with beautiful views and thoughtfully appointed grounds. The restaurant was excellent for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service was excellent and the food presentation was fantastic. The rooms were clean and lovely. We also utilized their massage services and it was top notch! What really makes U Inchantree stand out is the friendly employees and excellent service. Gigi and Big went out of their way to make our stay memorable. They were fantastic and every employee was courteous and friendly. I would definitely recommend U Inchantree for your next stay in Kanchanaburi!

Great little budget hotel next to railway & Bridge over the river Kwai with spacious rooms. Great location to catch the train (we went on Sunday to Erawan waterfall by chance at 10am) The journey was fantastic over death railway, well worth the trip just for that as the upper tiers of the waterfall were closed due to covid one of the national park workers told us. The hotel was a bit dated but spotlessly clean everywhere, warm water and good shower & pressure. Clean towels everyday & bed linen changed after 2 nights! The bed & pillows were really comfortable too. Waters & Herbal tea & coffee provided every day but would have been nice to have black teabag in room. Wi-Fi a bit slow but we knew that before we came however we weren’t here to sit on the iPhone all day😁 Breakfast was nice & hot and you could choose more than 1 menu for each person. Nice short stay in good location and I would recommend. Plenty of bars/restaurants at other end of the road with cheap taxi fare (under 100THB for a grab taxi) Nice floating restaurant on the river less than 2 mins walk right by the bridge. Couldn’t take pic of the large bed as I have disturbed it.

The hotel has two buildings, A and B, clean rooms, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, hop inn standards, free wifi, parking, coffee available at the press machine in the morning. The walls of the room are quite thin, I can hear the sound from outside. Should avoid staying on the 1st floor. Because there is a loud noise from outside and from the hotel lobby

We tried this hotel first time. It’s located by the main street which is very easy to seek when driving. Hotel price is reasonable. Staff is nice too. We tried breakfast which is very variety and price is only 50 baht. Definitely go back !

The setting with grounds flowing down to the river is idyllic. The hotel itself is quite grand at first blush, but lack of maintenance and limited housekeeping soon becomes noticeable. Our room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool and the river. Lack of a screen door meant you had to run the AC and keep the door closed to keep out mosquitos. Annoyingly out room was half a step up from the hallway and the large bathroom was half a step down. A bit of a tripping hazard and not suitable for a wheelchair user or any one with any mobility limitations. 2 beds had been pushed together to create a double but that meant the headboards did not line up with the bed or the single bed side table. Beds were comfortable, AC and internet worked fine. The whole place was passably clean but plenty of dust and insect casing were present on higher walls and surfaces. Breakfast was ok not great. Coffee was a little odd. Beautiful gardens but not convenient to town. Neigbouring property throws loud parties so noise could be an issue. Towels were threadbare but sheets were nice. We left housekeeping a tip anyway figuring people had been hard up during Covid. No nearby dining so captive audience situation at dinner as town is hard to get to. The rice barge dining room floating on the river was delightful as was the pool. Quite a lot of contradictory experiences in a single stay but could be splendid - having said that rates were fairly inexpensive.
