The hotel is central, its room, cleaning and breakfast is perfect in a word ... However, the unsustainable approaches of the reception staff from the staff group cause blood loss to the hotel shareholders. Persons who appear to be officials in the blonde and civilian reception area but who do not have any explanation of their duty, are in the hotel's outdoor-oriented work air rather than the face of the hotel. ... Without going to be on September 15, 2022 at 12.00, my cousin will ask for permission from the reception staff I mentioned to celebrate the successful treatment and they will be in the situation. Although they were told they could, they say they cannot accept guests in the hotel, lobby and room, and they add “Give him his money”. There is no understanding. Why can one day stay be requested for a person who came to the hotel for a small celebration 10 minutes before my exit? If I asked, the blond civilian staff answered, “Is it just paid for staying?” It's an irregularity, unerfarenness, unfamily... It stresses the person who came to the point of prostitution and hits people, and doesn't stop shooting... It'll be a client of the hotel or his shareholders and especially if I have received the right information I wanted to inform the hotel owner, Selahattin Bey, by reaching these lines, and to make my voice known. This is not a business with these men. Do not give your investment to people who do not know where the sentence is going and who do not know where it is going. If I asked these two staff for a single document that the guests would not enter the hotel, they would not have been able to give it, and if I had informed the tourism police of the situation by means of our state's possibilities, they would have been in difficulty. Because, people who are unknown, ignorant of the culture of speech and very unerfaren who have not been able to take advantage of...

GRAND S HOTEL

Istanbul|2.14km de Pirates of Istanbul
Upon arrival we were grunted (and I mean grunted) by a horrible man behind the reception with two words “booking reference”. He used a translator app to speak to us throughout our check in. At first I struggled to find the booking reference and he refused to look for our booking using my passport, which has been enough for other hotels we’ve used. He wrote ‘no reference no check in’ in his app and pushed it in front of me. I eventually found it and when I gave it him he wrote ‘no reservation’ and ‘sorry hotel full’ after 25 minutes of ‘talking’ both of us using apps, he finally made a phone call, them moved to another computer. After 10 minutes he spoke saying “sorry it’s that computer, it’s wrong your booking is on this one”. We checked in, paid and was escorted with our suitcases by a man I thought was someone who had wondered in off the street. He took us to our first floor room and persisted to wait in the room until we tipped him. I call it a room it wasn’t absolutely disgusting. Noisy, dirty, many items broken, stains, dirty toilet and bath, fortunately the bedding was clean. We had just endured an 8 hour coach trip and was hungry and needed a drink to unwind, so we went in the lovely bar attached to the hotel (privately owned) Prior to going down there we looked out of the window to discover our room overlooked 4 lanes of traffic and we were eye level with the metro link which ran each way every 4 minutes and was very very noisy. Whilst in the bar/restaurant I looked on an app to see if there were any rooms available at the hotel so I could request being moved, there was the choice for me to book 4 rooms for a maximum 8 adults. So I went back to the very unhelpful‘receptionist’ and asked, using the translator app, if we could change rooms to one at the back, as ours was very noisy. To which he shouted “No, hotel full”. I wasn’t going to try and attempt to show him that there were rooms available and ‘slept’ using ear plugs. It was the most horrible place I have ever stayed in, thank God it was only for one night. Avoid this 4 star dump at all costs.

The hotel is very close to the subway station, just a few minutes' walk. It is about half an hour away from the old city and Bazaar subway. There is a shopping mall around the hotel, which is quite convenient. I stayed for 2 nights, the room was not cleaned one day, otherwise it was fine.

The location isn't too far from the main tourist attractions, the rooms were clean, view was very nice, breakfast was good. Staff at front desk might seem rude but mainly a language barrier making it seem that way I think. But overall good stay we mainly went for Istanbul not to stay in the hotel day and night which many people seem to forget when reviewing. If your staying day and night at a hotel go with the most expensive full board resort instead..
