Embassy Suites by Hilton Irving Las Colinas

After seeing the reviews I didn’t expect much but was pleasantly surprised. The room was nicely appointed and was very clean and nice. I enjoyed the breakfast which had hot food, fruit and paso. The staff was very nice. One think I didn’t like was the bar did not open til 5.

This is a relatively newer hotel, so the rooms are nicer than those of hotels that are multiple years old. The bar and breakfast area are very nice, and the staff does a great job serving all of the customers. I would rate this hotel a 5, but the locked-out thermostat forcing a minimum temperature warmer than I prefer is keeping it from earning five stars for me.

Nice location ! But the service was very disappointing!!!! For a hotel this grand and for this price, I expected everything to be great!!! Staff is EXTREMELY unprofessional! Please stay somewhere else SAVE your money! Unless you enjoy rude people that use profanity and when you report it nothing happens at all… stay here! If you like to have the same dirty sheets and towels each day… stay here!

My family was in the area to visit schools. They were very impressed with the construction of the hotel and lay out of the rooms, even the parking lot was nice. Everything was beautiful and very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good too! The location was great! We would certainly stay here again.

We booked a two room suite, an upon arrival were given a single room with a king bed. The front desk agent decided that this was a hill to die on and tried to gaslight me into believing that the room we were in was (in fact) two rooms. News flash…I can count to two! He refused to move us to the correct room type (prepaid), and his manager refused to make things right after the fact. So, unless you enjoy being ripped off and/or blatantly lied to, then I’d avoid this property at all costs! If you see a name tag that says “Arif” or “Devon”, turn around and walk away!! They will not even try to make things right.

This is my second multiple-day stay at this property. My first trip was a solo trip, and it went well, but my second trip with my family has been a disaster. Let me highlight two separate staff interactions where service was abysmal.  #1. The young lady "working" the front desk hung up on me four times, which necessitated a walk to the front desk for assistance. It was a simple question and took less than a minute to answer. #2. We were meeting a friend in the lobby and asked about drinks from the bar. We were advised the bar was closed only to see the two bartenders assisting a patron who better fit their profile. When questioned, the backpeddling and untruthful responses were given.  Why be loyal to a brand when this is the treatment given by staff?
