I recently had the pleasure of having my parents stay at this incredible hotel, and I must say, their experience was absolutely exceptional! From the moment they arrived, they were treated to five-star magic with impeccable service, helpfulness, and reliability. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make their stay unforgettable. Their room was absolutely beautiful, clean and what a breathtaking view of the ocean! Truly amazing and relaxing stay - a home away from home in an abundance of excellence! The sound of the ocean and balcony view was one of many highlights that made this stay truly unforgettable! The food was exquisite, with dinner and breakfast being another highlight of their stay. But what truly made their experience special was the attention to detail and the way the hotel celebrated their anniversary in grandeur. The gifts, chocolates, flowers, and balloons were a lovely touch that made the occasion truly unforgettable. My parents were blown away by the hotel's excellence and the staff's dedication to providing a memorable experience. They left with lifelong memories and can't wait to return. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay. Five stars isn't enough – this hotel deserves a glowing review!

There was no wifi my entire trip. There is no excuse for this whatsoever! Way cheaper hotels can deliver on that promise in the slightest. As a remote worker, my business was jeopardized for the duration of my stay. Would definitely not recommend this unreliable hotel, especially if you're a remote worker. Staff service is not great either, they didn't attempt to fix the wifi or care that the entire hotel didn't have an internet connection.

It was a last minute reservation for our anniversary and was very nice and comfortable for short notice at 10:45pm arrival. We stayed here 18 months ago when we first came to South Africa. I recommend this hotel for stays. USA couple.

A good place to be with a beautiful view.... ”The View” as its name . Closer to a shopping complex , gas station, 5min drive to the beach, closer to the beach there also restaurantswhere you can dine whole having the beach view, Toti Beach. its also closer to galleria Mall. The place is too steep so be ready for that... Their food is delicious, we had dinner there at their restaurant called Giorgios but its expensive I must say. Not sure about their breakfast and lunch though. Staff and reception is just ok. I had requested them to add a crib bed for a child and upon arrival they told us that the storeroom is closed because we arrived at 6pm so it's too late. We then asked them to give us atleast a bedsheets or any linen so we can make a plan for our son, they said ok but never pitched , nothin, not even getting back to us to say what could be the matter. We asked again the following day, they took four hours to bring a bedsheets. Bottom line is if you have a child do not, I repeat DO NOT book that place because they will lie straight to your face saying they could not reach you since you booked via an APP. I'm not sure whetherI want to talk about their kitchen in the rooms. You will have to call them now and again to bring things and they take 3 to 4hours just for a simple thing like a spoon. One thing I can say is they don't listen and listening means you respect your business and your clients I flew from overseas to rest and have a good time and have treat ourselves since they have a spar but I ended up canceling my plans for a spa because I didn't want additional dissapointments. The rest I don't even want to mention...and that is my experience after paying so much Money and looking forward to a good vacation 😌 BUT...

This is the one of the best hotel of my trip in SA. The swimming pool is amazing and fantastic. The view is also very well. I stayed in South Africa for 1 month and stayed in 10 different hotels. This one is really imprrssive. And I have view the best moon in my lives. I think I am even willing to cross half of the earth to stay there again. The room is not bad. But the disadvantage is the attitude of the receptionist and the professionalism of the restaurant staff are not good enough. Delayed the hotel's progress.

Recentemente, fiquei no Hilton Garden Inn Umhlanga Arch e tive UMA experiência Mais positiva.A localização é fantástica, no coração de Umhlanga com fácil acesso a tudo. A sala estava Muito confortável e relaxante. O buffet de pequeno-almoço era incrível, delicioso e com muitas opções, o que era UMA boa maneira de começar o dia, MAS o restaurante era demasiado quente. Parece que todos estão tentando apanhar um fã, e acho sinceramente que devem mudar para o AC ou encontrar UMA solução melhor para arrefecer o espaço. A piscina era bonita e bem mantida, e está aquecida, mas, honestamente, sentiu-se um pouco estranho nadar em uma piscina quente no verão.Acho que a piscina quente seria muito mais agradável durante os meses mais frios, como no inverno. Outro desconto é que fecham a piscina demasiado cedo....7 pm é bastante desconcertante, especialmente em um local como Umhlanga onde você quer desfrutar de noites. Em geral, é um bom hotel com excelentes acomodações, mas a temperatura do restaurante e o encerramento da piscina tem certamente de ser cuidadoso.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel—it was my boyfriend’s first time visiting Durban, and this place completely blew his mind! From the moment we arrived, the incredible staff made us feel welcome, even surprising us with a free room upgrade. Our room had a breathtaking view of the ocean and the city skyline—perfect for relaxing and taking in the beauty of Durban. The location was unbeatable: just steps away from fantastic restaurants (we were spoiled for choice!), the beach, and even attached to a mall for ultimate convenience. Whether you’re looking for luxury, convenience, or just a stunning getaway, this hotel delivers on every level. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Location was perfect for the business I needed to transact in the greater Umhlanga area. Staff we ever supportive of needs, breakfast buffet was amazing even though for very few people and food was good quality, room/suite was very very comfortable and spacious, plus they had a sauna which was a nice touch after the gym. I would stay again.

The hotel is well located, with easy access to the beach. Unfortunately the room itself was very small, especially for the price being charged. Breakfast was also limited. Service at the hotel was good though. Good food available 24/7 via room service. Had an amazing mutton bunny at 1am that really hit the spot!!!

The service was great. they must supply guests with enough towels for example if you booked for 2people they must bring two towels not one and also put mat on bathroom.
