Almost all reviews were good, with not a single negative comment, and when I saw it was run by a Chinese owner, I booked it immediately. The location is super convenient, just a three to five-minute walk from the station. The entire lodge is brand new and spotless, with lots of Chinese calligraphy hanging inside, which made it feel very welcoming. The dining area is quite spacious, equipped with an ice maker, microwave, and instant noodles for purchase. A 7-Eleven is about a ten-minute walk away. The scenery is incredible. I just checked in tonight and I'm really looking forward to seeing Mount Fuji's snowscape tomorrow morning. I'll share photos then. The lighting design throughout the lodge is also very thoughtful, creating a great ambiance. The owner is from Zhejiang, and he's incredibly reliable. "I recently stayed at The Toki Fujikawaguchiko and it exceeded all expectations! The highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking, unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji right from the villa and you can enjoy it from the balcony, rooftop terrace, and even the bathroom in some rooms. On clear days, it’s picture-perfect! The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, with fluent English that made communication effortless – a huge plus for international travelers. They were attentive, helpful, and truly made us feel welcome. The facility itself is super comfortable and modern. We loved the fully equipped kitchen, which was perfect for preparing our own meals. Everything was spotlessly clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for a relaxing stay. When I was choosing a place, this guesthouse hadn't been open for long, and there was only one review on the platform at the time, which made me a little hesitant. However, looking at the photos taken by the host and the arrangement of items in the room, I could tell that the host was a very detail-oriented and reliable person, so I booked it without hesitation. After booking, I received detailed and clear check-in instructions, which were well-organized and further convinced me of my choice. The actual check-in experience far exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, bright, and well-ventilated, and the whole place was clean and new, making it very comfortable. Although the guesthouse isn't on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi, it's not far away, just a few bus stops away, and using an IC card for transportation is very convenient. You can also see Mount Fuji directly, perfect for taking photos. The hosts also arranged for shared electric bikes, which were parked outside, providing more options for getting around. "We like to thank and applaude the staffs and chef that took good care of us during our stay at Hakai Konohanakan. The services and amenities provided were top notch and the staffs were very thoughtful in making sure that we were well taken care of. Not to mention, the omakase is of really good quality and variety. Every day was a new experience with new dishes! Really well done on the chef and staffs part. Although the location maybe abit secluded, we like to appluade the staff effort in offering to arrange a taxi for us to take us to a location. As the bus services here may be a little unreliable, if your itinerary is packed with 3 to 4 places for the day, we recommand to book a chartered services for at least a day so you can go around freely from one end to the other. We were lucky to have a staff that speaks Mandarin but nevertheless, even if the staff can't speak Mandarin or understands English, they take an effort to explain and understand you through translation apps. All in all, we have no regrets in booking and staying here. Would highly recommend to stay here if your itinerary revolves around lake Yamanaka as it is only a 10 minute drive away! Not to mention a step outside and you can see mount fuji!"
