"We booked two rooms for our family of four as each room is rather small. We stayed three nights and enjoyed ourselves. Car park is round the corner so its convenient. Hotel gave us a voucher for discounted parking. The hotel is very central and convenient with a MacDonalds right downstairs."

"We were only here for one night but the location is perfect as it’s right at Kumamoto Station, so it couldn't be easier to get to, and having the Amu Plaza mall right there for shopping and food was so convenient. Being on the higher floors, the views of the city are amazing. The rooms feel very modern and spacious, but the free onsen (public bath) was the best part. It was definitely a great way to relax at the end of the day. It was handy having convenience stores, restaurants and a mall just a few steps away."

"Great stay! Clean! Love the free amenities which included soup, tea and toiletries. Microwave available too. Only downside is that the carpark is 2000 per night which is expensive. Other option is a 5 mins walk to nearby for 1200 per night for parking 2pm-12pm the next day. Remember to inform the person at the carpark they you want multiple entries to get a multiple entry card!"

"Adorei este hotel! A equipe da recepção foi muito prestativa e nos deu dicas de onde ir para a contagem regressiva do Ano Novo. Basicamente, não há contagem regressiva para o Ano Novo, apenas os japoneses vão a santuários na véspera. Eles também oferecem sopa de feijão vermelho com dango gratuitamente no dia de Ano Novo. É muito bom poder se integrar à cultura japonesa. Também há bebidas gratuitas durante todo o dia. O quarto temático do Kumamon é muito fofo. 🩶🩵🤍 Perto do shopping Sakura Machi e também do bonde. Com certeza voltarei ;)"

"Hotel Nikko Kumamoto maintains very high standard of service. Greeters were always smiling at the hotel lobby and lift area. We were lucky to get a Room with Castle view. Location was perfect, right opposite Tsuruya Departmental Store and beside Shimotori shopping srreet. Breakfast spread was excellent. Highly recommended!"

"The room is bigger than those we stay in Osaka or Hiroshima . Location is very good , and easy accessible to shops and trams. Will stay again if I ever go to Kumamoto again ."

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's about a 10-minute walk from the Kumamoto Bus Terminal after taking a bus from Fukuoka. The commercial district, Kumamoto tram, and Kumamoto Castle are all nearby and easily accessible on foot. The hygiene is impeccable; you even take off your shoes upon entering the lobby, storing them in shoe lockers on the first floor. The front desk service was superb. We stayed for three nights and changed rooms once, and they immediately allowed us to check in, without making us wait until 3 PM. When we looked lost outside, they promptly provided us with a map, suggestions, and directions. The deluxe twin room, a Japanese-style room, is quite spacious by Japanese standards and elegantly decorated. The washing area, shower, and toilet are three separate, independent spaces. The onsen (hot spring) on the 11th floor is also very clean, with a pleasant environment. Afterward, there are free ice pops and a relaxation area. Free ramen is served at 9:30 PM, which was also delicious. There's free coffee on the first floor, and the breakfast is abundant and exquisite, with a high 'eatability' factor. All in all, I hope to have the chance to stay here again."

"The location is nice, close to the castle. It was nice to visit onsen in the hotel and try curry with horse meat in the evening. The breakfast was good too - buffet. The room was comfortable and clean. But the bed was sooo extremely small for 2 people. We are exhausted and could not normally sleep. I don’t know why the sell such small beds in rooms for 2. This was only but very big disadvantage. I guess if you are alone it is perfect."

"Nothing can be complained for me. The staffs were very helpful. A little fancy instagramable breakfast. All attractions are near - Kumamoto Castle, Kumamon Square, Department & Convenient Stores, Walking street including restaurants. Room design makes kids having fun and a good time. All in all worth it."
