Fabulous setting up on a hill about a 20 min walk down  to the town(definitely get a rickshaw back).  Didn’t realise we could order eggs  for breakfast until our second morning (not offered them  on the first morning). Cake at breakfast was yummy. Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned  on arrival  and there were splatters marks on the wall  above the tea/coffee area. We also returned to our room late afternoon to find maintenance working on our balcony - did feel this could have been done after checkout! Fabulous shower. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was very good. The high taxes in Tamil Nadu added to the price (almost 25%) so bear this in mind . Cocktails weee excellent. We did the morning ’hike’  which was well worth getting up for.  We were brought a hot water bottle on our second night which was a lovely surprise.  Tea & biscuits served between 5 & 5.30pm which was a nice touch  although more of the breakfast cake would have been good. Would recommend staying here as rooms, location  & restaurant are excellent.

The property is good to stay clean and well maintained, but no restaurant except breakfast, city restaurants are too far auto charges 700 rs return for 3.5 km that is too much, zomato and Swiggy is there, less option of restaurant for vegetarians 2 to 3 only,rest all is good no complains, room 101 should have tinted view glass for privacy reasons, that should be taken care off immediately, request to owner to open restaurant as well for guest atleast . staff is very well trained and behaved thanks 👍

We were a bunch of 4 lads. Stayed in the Quadruple room. Pretty clean. The room service guys were polite and helpful... No intercom nor any chairs to sit inside. But we setup a place right outside the room. You have to phone the front desk for everything. Good parking and open spaces to play. Good was ok. Not bad. The receptionist guy was a bit grumpy. Apart from that nice chill place .!!

Orchid Square has given us lovely memories of Coonoor. It was comfortable, clean and the food was excellent. However it was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff that really helped to make our experience here a very good one. The restaurant staff in particular showed good humour. The hotel helped with transport. The wifi connection was good. It was peaceful and our room was spacious with lots of extras like tea/coffee, shampoo/ hairdryer. The only downside was the distance into town, needing a tut-tut, about 10-15mins travel time. However, we had peace and quiet.

Had a great stay with family at Hotel Carnation, Ooty for 3 nights. It is very near to Charring Cross junction and other market areas. Botanical Garden is also walkable at 1KM. There's a restaurant ”Madras Rasoi” and a Food Truck at the Hotel serving both Veg & N. Veg food. Room was very good and spacious. Geyser is there in the bathroom, so 24/7 hot water there. Kettle is provided for heating drinking water. Hospitality was great by it's owner Mr. Mariadas, very nice person. Mr. Prince who is at reception is a young chap who is very helpful and friendly and well mannered. All other staffs were also very good and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here. I will definitely come back to this hotel next time as well.

Excelente Resort, longe Da cidade, e as quartos e banheiros são limpos, Jaya Ji na recepção sempre foi útil. Em geral, tivemos UMA estadia agradável de 3 noites, com UMA bela vista.

We enjoyed our stay, the rooms were large enough. The restaurent , buffet breakfast is good. Need to watchout the hot water timings. overall a nice property.

The hotel services were excellent top notch. The staff were professional, provided me with a lot of extra services with no additional cost, rooms were clean. And most importantly the location is absolutely great. Just beside the botanical garden i had some amazing experiences. The only con is the room size is too small and i mean it. It's so small if you keep your luggage on the floor you won't be able to walk properly. This can be a major issue to a lot of people

The property is located in a very nice place close to all tourist attaractions. The palace turned into a hotel is a must visit. The rooms take you back the kings era, giving you the nostalgic feel. The rooms are well furnished with antique furniture, paintungs and carpets. The hotel is owned by the wadayar group. The thing which i noticed that stands out is that they have not appointed professionally trained staff. But the staff all are very courteous and helpful. They have been retained for over 3 decades each which shows how good the employers are. Over all the property is a must visit to get the royal feel. Great job done by the staff.
