"I seldom share my experiences in Chinese hotels. That is a mistake. China’s hotels are among the world’s most comfortable and reasonably priced.  I am now in the home of chairman Mao and staying at the very comfortable Jianguo hotel. After arriving in  Shaoshan  (over 38 years since my last visit), I have been overwhelmed by the friendliness of the local people and the staff at the Jianguo hotel.  In what may be called one of the more politically important destinations in China, I have found open arms and smiles. My American friends can learn something from this. I am clearly not a local but, even during this time of geopolitical tension, I am receiving nothing less than genuine  friendship, no animosity, and this makes me feel optimistic. I hope that we in the United States can learn from the Chinese people’s example. Thank you, everybody at the Jianguo Hotel. including Liu Zheng who personally took me to Chairman Mao’s residence this morning.  He offered to do this while eating dinner in the hotel restaurant last night (please try the 香椿拌豆腐). He introduced me to the park’s director and facilitated everything to make this visit so special. Liu Jingli just treated me to lunch and is driving  me to the train station. This kind of service I’ve never received before in my hundred plus countries and I think that it is important that we share these stories with the outside world. This hospitality, too, is an essential part of China. (I would argue it is even more real than the news stories we receive out of Washington DC.) Chairman Mao’s home will forever echo with not just memories of the past but optimism of a more respectful and inclusive future."

"房間很乾凈，老闆娘非常熱心、親切，下了動車毛家爸爸親自來接，直達景區非常方便。到後點了毛氏紅燒肉、臘肉、老闆娘貼心安排了素菜當季的紅菜薹，口味非常棒。 晚上參加了毛主席誕辰132慶典，氣氛濃烈。難忘的紅色記憶之旅。"

"韶山賓館應該是到韶山參觀主席故居最好最近的下 榻之地了。地理位置優越，過一條馬路就是主席雕像廣場，離故居也就幾百米。賓館的前身是韶山招待所，歷史底藴深厚，可以參觀主席入住過的1號樓。房間乾淨衞生，工作人員親切周到。早餐豐富，晚餐有小碗菜，方便實惠。"

"這次家庭親子入住體驗超預期！民宿就在韶山景區旁，位置絕佳。庭院式的山景花園特別雅緻，孩子在院子裏玩得很開心。房間乾淨整潔，設施齊全，服務也很貼心周到。無論是衞生、環境還是服務，都給滿分，強烈推薦給來韶山遊玩的家庭！"

"環境清幽、人情温暖，還有一衹超可愛的“陪床貓” 整體入住體驗非常不錯。預訂後老闆娘就主動來電確認抵達時間，服務熱情細緻。不過當時我在開車，建議這種情況下可以改用短訊聯繫，會更方便安全。 到店時間比預計早了一些，前台暫時沒人，但打電話後老闆很快趕來幫忙辦理入住。期間一衹可愛的小貓一路陪我進房，還乖巧地趴在床邊小憩，意外成了“陪床貓”，非常治癒。午休時送來歡迎水果，很甜，但若能提前微信通知會更好。 晚餐在民宿直接點餐，菜式選擇挺多，我點了紅燒肉和酸辣雞雜，味道家常又實在。如果能在上菜前先送一壺茶水潤喉就更完美了。 晚上去看《中國出了個毛澤東》實景演出，民宿可安排有償接送，單程約10分鐘，挺方便。 第二天退房時，老闆娘閨女還免費送我去高鐵站，路上聊了聊湘粵飲食差異，氣氛輕鬆愉快。 總結： 這是一家山中安靜舒適、服務真誠的民宿，適合想在韶山放鬆休息的旅客。整體體驗温暖、有生活氣息，小貓的陪伴更是加分項。"

"我們這次出行是恰逢毛主席誕辰，整體來説很滿意。 房間是榻榻米式的，衞生挺乾淨的，晚上睡覺絕對安靜，離銅像廣場故居等地方走路大概十幾分鐘的距離。 韶山村坐車不太方便，因為比較偏，加上重大節假日限行，所以一般都很難打車，坐來回大巴又很折騰。不過幸好可以找老闆幫忙約車出行，價格也公道。去韶峯、滴水洞、高鐵站都可以，5座車的話韶峯滴水洞等近一點的來回30，高鐵站遠一些是30一趟，逢重大節日會貴一點，方便確實挺方便的。 吃飯也是一直在民宿的一樓餐廳吃的，包括早餐和正餐，因為附近吃飯的地不是特別多。早餐是吃罈子肉粉/麪，10塊一位，加蛋2塊。正餐的話，菜都是現炒的，時蔬都是老闆自己種的，很新鮮，特色是毛氏紅燒肉58、精品毛氏紅燒肉108，兩者的差別就是精品賣相更好看，用的五層肉品質會更好，兩種都嘗過了，個人感覺還是普通的更划算更好吃。店裡還可以買村子自己炒的茶，一袋500g80塊，喝着還行，和朋友都帶了幾包走。 門票也可以找老闆幫買，本地人有優惠。最憶韶山沖**買要218，老闆138幫我們買的。韶峯**是89兩位，老闆也是這個價位幫我們拿的票。 玩的話去了銅像廣場、故居、生平館、專題館、韶峯，還去看了最憶韶山沖舞台劇，。銅像廣場大型節假日會人流管控。故居、生平和專題需要預約進場，不過不預約的話排隊刷身份證也會讓進，這個工作人員不管。韶峯上下山都是坐纜車，露天的那種，比較刺激，恐高的慎重。最憶韶山沖歌舞劇算是這次最有價值的，車接車送，時長大概60-70分鐘，很有感染力，開場和散場的時候在場館裏有演員拿着文創來賣，都是銅的，説是老謀子參與設計的，整體質感很不錯，沉甸甸的，有掛飾鑰匙扣手串等，便宜的38，貴的大幾十，比外面同質化的產品要有意義的多，買完可以送為人民服務胸章，同行4個人瘋狂消費買了十幾件花了六七百吧。 整體而言，這次旅行很不錯，希望下次有機會可以再來。 最後，毛主席永垂不朽。"

"該酒店是2019年開業的具有180間客房的較大型酒店，距韶山景區停車場駕車僅有3.5公里，坐落位置就在馬路邊，周邊吃飯方便。室內設施有點欠缺（床頭插座設在牀頭櫃後邊底下）。衞生間乾濕分離，洗浴用水充足。早餐還不錯。門前即可停車。但作為一家四星級酒店，有些方面需要調整一下了。"

The location of the homestay is excellent, very close to the scenic spot, and the elders do not need to travel long distances.
