"A Relaxing and Convenient City Getaway
I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at this hotel. Its location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, with shops, restaurants, major sights, and public transport all just a few minutes’ walk away. It made getting around incredibly easy and stress-free.
The hot spring facilities were wonderful: clean, well-maintained, and pleasantly quiet. The water was at the perfect temperature, and soaking in the onsen provided the ultimate relaxation after a day of sightseeing.
My room was spotless and comfortable, with fresh linens, modern amenities, and good soundproofing for a peaceful night’s sleep. Housekeeping was excellent throughout my stay.
The staff stood out for their politeness and attentiveness—everyone from reception to the concierge was friendly, professional, and quick to assist with a genuine smile.

"This place is more than expect! We enjoyed onsen everyday! Very privacy and chill, both indoor and outdoor onsen in -12'c was amazing and set you warm! "Right outside the hotel there is a bus stop and access to the property is convenient (but I drive from Sapporo anyway). The room overall condition met expectation although I am quite disappointed that they only assign me to the second floor, and literally people from outside can see me if I don’t lower the blinds.
There are 4 solo onsen rooms available for private use and it is recommended that the usage time stays at 40 mins.
For the onsen, the public one is good although it is relatively small, and can be crowded sometimes.
Overall, you come to Jozankei because you want to escape from the hustle and bustle and I enjoy my time there. But consider how much I pay for the room and board with virtually no view, there are plenty options out there that could get the most bang from the bucks.

"”Renovated (uneven), great onsen, convenient location”
Most of the hotel’s facilities were recently renovated, so they felt new and beautiful. However, only some of the rooms had been updated. Our room was older—not too old, but slightly disappointing compared to the pretty new lobby. That said, it was clean.
Our room was near several Chinese tourists who often talked in the corridor, but it was quiet at night.
Buffet dinner and breakfast were included. The food was okay—good compared to other countries, but average compared to other Japanese hotels.
The onsen was excellent, with multiple pools at different temperatures, including cold baths and an open-air onsen (though partially enclosed due to the hotel’s location). There was a lounge area with free soft drinks and massage chairs before entering the onsen. A table tennis area was also available, though in the basement and a bit hot, so we didn’t play.
The reception spoke limited English but tried their best to communicate. There was also a self-service coffee machine in the lobby with a lounge area to relax.
The hotel’s location was very convenient: close to the bus stop, with convenience stores nearby. During our summer visit, the illumination event was walkable from the hotel."

"Overall experience was good, location is excellent. Very convenient to go to and from New Chitose airport by bus, Susukino metro is 5 mins walk. I like that they have coin laundry, vending machine and public bath in the hotel. Water in the public bath was a little too hot (probably over 45oC) but I guess that's normal to Japanese. The only thing I don't like is that the check in time is stiff 15:00 whether the room is vacant or not, but that's still acceptable."

The room is even more magnificent and exquisitely beautiful. The feeling of soaking in the hot spring is really extremely comfortable and pleasant. However, the chair that is directly facing the window really makes people feel extremely uncomfortable. It is really stiff, and the back of the chair is pitifully short, and it simply cannot give the due support to the head and neck.

KKenny_On The GoThe JR Tower Hotel Nikko is a solid choice for anyone looking for convenience in Sapporo. Its location right on top of the JR station makes getting around incredibly straightforward, especially if you have luggage. Since it’s connected to the shopping malls and the city's massive underground walkway, it’s easy to duck back to the room to drop off shopping bags or take a break without going out of your way.
The view from the high-floor rooms is probably the standout feature. Facing the mountain range, the scenery is impressive in the morning and equally good at night when the city lights are up. Inside, the room felt well-designed, particularly the bathroom. It’s quite large by Japanese standards, and the bathtub is actually big enough to relax in. They provide bath salts and powders, which is a nice touch, as is the Dyson hairdryer—it's a significant upgrade over the standard wall-mounted versions you usually find in hotels. Overall, it was a practical, pleasant stay where the location and the views really justified the choice.

UUsuário convidadoI loved Nukumori No Yado Furukawa! I was an American solo traveler, but my wife is Japanese (we have 2 boys), so I am very familiar with Japanese culture. I wanted to go to a place that Japanese people would love, not a tourist-focused place. From the moment I entered, the service was excellent. I was greeted, checked in quickly, then accompanied to my room for explanations of how everything operates. My room was very comfortable. The facilities, including bath area, foot soaking areas, lobby, lounges, etc. - were all clean and comfortable. The lounge next to the lobby was a cozy place to relax, and most of the lounges included food and drink during at least some point of the day. I visited in mid-October so the leaves were changing color and the temperature outside was crisp but not too cold. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding. I hope to return again with the rest of my family. Highly recommended!

EEmmazhaostayed here for two days ，the hotel is in a good location and it's a relatively nice hot - spring hotel in the local area. Here are some aspects that I found a bit inconvenient during my check-in, and I'd like to share them with you.
1. The housekeeper suggested wearing the clothes and slippers provided by the hotel. It's a pity that all the sizes are the same. It doesn't matter much about the clothes, but the slippers are too big. They make it extremely difficult to walk and it's very easy to and fall.
2. There are a lot of steps in the room. An elderly person in my family tripped and fell when going to the toilet in the middle of the night. You must be careful at night.
3. Most of the customers are Japanese. As for payment, they can only pay in cash or use Visa or Master cards. UnionPay cards cannot be used here.
4. One last thing to pay special attention to is the door of the room. You need to lock it additionally both when entering and exiting the room. If you don't fasten all the locks from the inside when you come in, people outside will be able to open the door. We've already had the embarrassing experience of three of us lying in bed when a group of people suddenly burst in from outside. Please keep this in mind.

UUsuário convidadoMy experience at this hotel is quite unpleasant and not up to my expectations given its high rating. The room is spacious and clean. But the facility and service is just average. The biggest issue is the staff do not speak any English and fail to communicate even using translator(I understand some Japanese hotel does not feel the need to speak in other languages which is fine, but they will have to find other solutions to give clearer guidelines to help non-Japanese guests). The staff sounds polite to say sorry if they cannot help you, but they are not observant to our needs and not helpful from their actions.We stayed for 2 nights and had put a “please clean the room” sign at the door but no cleaning is done for the room. There were two onsen which men and women are assigned to use one of them at specific time, but one of them is actually old and has very limited clean-up area, so the onsen is actually not as good as the official photos suggested. The food is disappointing too, they look nice but the taste is quite bad and the cooked fish in all our meals is so rough in texture.

The hotel does provide a shuttle bus from Sapporo city, which typically takes about an hour, but you also need to book that at least a month in advance, according to various bloggers. It was quite disappointing not to enjoy the private bath experience and to have to arrange our own transportation from/back to the city. The frustrating part is that you wouldn’t know the advance booking requirement when you make a reservation through Trip.com or similar platforms. Here’s a rephrased version of your statement:

Location: in the Jozankei Onsen town that’s about an hour + out of Sapporo. Honestly if you’re in a group, just book a cab out, it was about $80++ for 3 of us! Otherwise remember to book the Onsen bus shuttle early in advance 🥹
Area around Onsen is nothing much besides other Onsen houses, a small cafe and other smol tourist picture spots.
Back to the Ryokan: this was my first experience being in one and I’m so glad I chose this place! Mum and sister throughly enjoyed it as well, using our in room Onsen ( there’s 2!) and also the shared common Onsen with an outdoor facing the snow too ❄️☃️♨️
Service:The staff was extremely polite and efficient, seeing the reviews of them being rude was kinda uncalled for. They were nothing but kind and attentive. It is a very quiet and peaceful place , I understand the need for all guests to be maintain the atmosphere too.
Food: amazing, one of the best meals I’ve had in Japan so far ♥️ the pictures below speaks for itself 🥹 private dining room to enjoy the view too🏔️
Loved small touches too like the mikimoto soaps , Dyson hair dryers ( in the public Onsen) And the chopstick souvenirs 🥹
I can’t wait to come back here again with my partner 🤍

RRoyston NgMinha esposa e eu fizemos o check-in no hotel de 10 a 14 de julho de 2024.
Ao fazer o check-in, fomos atendidos por uma funcionária na recepção. Depois de verificar os passaportes de ambos, ela informou que a reserva do quarto era para apenas uma pessoa, por quatro noites, e que eu teria que pagar ¥1.500 adicionais por cada noite que minha esposa ficasse comigo. Isso totalizou ¥6.000, o que considerei totalmente desnecessário, já que não havia custos adicionais independentemente de minha esposa estar ou não no quarto. Tentei argumentar racionalmente com a funcionária, mas, devido a algumas regras japonesas, ela franziu a testa e insistiu que eu pagasse os ¥6.000, sem outra opção.
Após pagar os ¥6.000, fomos para o quarto 705 e percebemos que o carpete estava muito velho e sujo, com manchas por toda parte, principalmente no corredor principal. A banheira é o único lugar onde podemos tomar banho e range sempre que entramos, parecendo que vai se desmontar a qualquer momento. A temperatura da água também era irregular.
Embora este hotel esteja convenientemente localizado a poucos minutos a pé da Estação Takajima-Koen, duvidamos que voltemos a nos hospedar aqui.
Uma impressão negativa foi criada desde o momento do check-in e nada mudou durante nossa estadia.

EElisia LohThe hotel provides a shuttle bus pick-up from Sapporo Station (Bus Terminal), but reservations can only be made by phone call. Email requests are not accepted. We arrived on a Sunday, and the bus was already fully packed when leaving Sapporo Station, so it is best to book early.
The hotel itself is a little old, though the public area toilets appear to have been recently renovated. The public onsen pools are large and relaxing, but the stone tile flooring can be slippery from long use, so be careful when walking in the bath area.
The buffet has a good spread of dishes. I especially enjoyed the dinner scallop miso soup, handmade sushi, and desserts. The restaurant was lively and fully packed with both local Japanese families and overseas tourists. One minor downside was the seasonal fruit such as lychee. It would be better if the hotel ensured the fruits were properly washed before serving.
Wi-Fi connection in the hotel is strong and stable unlike the big spa hotel in lake Toya which I just stayed a few days ago.

朝のブッフェも美味しかった。ウォータースライダー2本やってないから週末のウォータースライダー毎日今月だけらしい。なくても21:00までプールで遊べてその後温泉でゆったりでした。
