Premier Inn Harlow North (Harlow Mill)

Restaurant closed due to gas leak which happened 4 days before our check in, but was not informed until arrival. We were simply told if you don’t like it, we will give you a refund and you can find some where else. We were also not told about the parking register and received 2 parking fines for the 2 day stay!

I went with my daughter for a stay at Premier Inn for her holiday. The stay was lovely,same as the staff. I could park my car in the car park and was really easy to move our stuff in the hotel. We had a good night sleep and we enjoyed some walks around the canal. We had dinner in the restaurant and food was good.

I had booked an accessible room as I am disabled and use a rollator to walk and the receptionist saw this and gave us a key for room 20. This was a VERY long walk from reception and when we went through the 3rd door there were 4 steps to go down. I cannot manage those so my husband went to check the room was actually accesible and it was so he went back to recption to ask how we get into the room. The receptionist did not know how to help us so went to get the manager who took us out of a fire door near the steps and told me to walk down the ramp and she would let me in at the next door near the room. I was disgusted at the level of service and was disappointed that the staff were not trained to inform us about steps. It was a long and uncomfortabel walk back to the car in the morning so the day did not get off to a good start.
