Camellia House

I chose this hotel for my group of ten visiting Hanoi for three days. It had to meet these conditions: 1. Located in French Quarter, beloved for it's beautiful architecture; 2. Front a main street for vehicle access; and 3. Rooms on the ground floor or reached by elevator. 4. Reasonable room rates The hotel offered more: suite rooms, one with a balcony facing the street, washing machine and dryer in each room, proper bathrooms, pleasing decor, and excellent service. Opposite was a shop selling pho and bun. The owner was very friendly, the food excellent. He even offered me tra da free. A few doors away was a shop selling banh cuon, my favourite breakfast, again tasty food, and VND5,000 tra da to go with the meal. The owner herself, although hardly managing to speak English, was friendly and extremely helpful, while two if the staff spoke good English. I will definitely stay here again

Hồ Hoàn Kiếm Area
The location of the hotel is very good. It is very convenient for eating and shopping. The grab taxi driver is also very familiar with the address of the hotel. The owner and his family are very nice, the breakfast is very good, there are many choices, and it is hearty. The downside is that the room has no windows, the space is relatively small, the ventilation is not good, the smell is relatively big, and the quilt is a bit damp.

To be honest, didn't stay at this hotel. This hotel is behind the White Horse Temple and there should be two stores. At the front desk of the hotel, my sister could n’t speak Chinese and communicated in English. Then she told us that the hotel circuit was broken. We changed to another shop, called TU linh palace hostel. Our room was small. But my uncle who came to meet us spoke Chinese and experienced the difficult communication in English. I felt kind to this uncle instantly. At that time, we did not exchange enough Vietnamese dongs. We exchanged 3,000 renminbi dongs with our uncle. Then I asked my uncle to buy a 22-dollar ticket to Da Nang for us. This is more pit, but as the first stop abroad, Hanoi can still accept it! !! In the end, Hanoi, as the capital of Vietnam, has more Westerners, less hotels in Chinese, and higher consumption. The hotel is like that, anyway, I didn't live in this hotel.

Temple of Literature
There are several hotels under its umbrella, all named with Blue, and the Cp value is not bad. It's a bit far from the city center.
Thanh Huong 99 Hotel - Noi Bai

The last tim e flew out of Noi Bai we had a lovely room at another hotel but we were kept awake all night due to staff yelling and shouting so we decided to try Thanh Huong 99 but we will never stay here again. We arrived at the same time as another guest but it was a few minutes before the receptionist appeared. He did not speak English but that was not a problem. I was desperate for a beer and they had a refrigerator full of drinks but none of my favorite liquid. We were given the keys to the room which was big enough but the bathroom could have done with a refurbishment. I wanted to switch on the TV to see if they had any English channels but it was unplugged, and the outlet was behind the wardrobe. So was the internet router. I pushed the wardrobe and plugged in both devices but the TV did not seem to pick up a signal. Never mind, my wife said. Every hotel we had stayed in during our trip had 2 bottles of water in the room, but this one only had a kettle and 2 cups. Never mind as we would go out and buy some. In the end we had a good sleep and awoke at 6 am for the 10 minute walk to the airport.
