The stay was great and we enjoyed it very much. We booked the loft room but we’re around 180-190cm so the owner showed us the room, mainly the bathroom might have too low of a ceiling and helped us switch the room to the tatami one for free. The hotel was clean, quiet and in a nice location, walking distance from the north of West lake. The owner provided water bottle per person but you can also buy more water or noodles at the lobby for very cheap.

As frutas diárias, especialmente as ameixas, são mais doces e frescas do que as que eu compro. Com uma localização privilegiada no Lago Oeste, a qualidade é inquestionável. Pela manhã, eu e minha mãe caminhamos pela margem do lago, sentindo-nos isoladas do mundo, enquanto do outro lado havia turistas aglomerados, nós desfrutávamos da nossa paz. Elogios especiais aos jovens da equipe de concierge, que foram muito atenciosos ao nos ajudar com as malas assim que chegamos. Também elogio o serviço sorridente da recepcionista e todos os funcionários, incluindo os jardineiros, que sempre nos cumprimentavam com gentileza! Com certeza voltaremos! É uma experiência digna de um hotel para hóspedes de estado!

Que ótima experiência. O quarto estava limpo e arrumado. O charme antigo da decoração se mistura com uma grande quantidade de elementos de alta tecnologia. Pintura de fundo de paisagem de West Lake, telefone com discagem antiga, smartphone, vaso sanitário com temperatura constante e descarga, cortinas automáticas, luminária de chão com sensor noturno automático... Os brindes ou suprimentos gratuitos no quarto são de alta qualidade, incluindo produtos de higiene pessoal de alta qualidade, creme para as mãos, toalhas de rosto, panos para óculos, panos para engraxar sapatos, enxaguatório bucal, iogurte, café para pendurar nas orelhas, água mineral ilimitada... Recepção calorosa e cortês, serviço de refeições quentes... O hotel fica próximo à área panorâmica de West Lake e tem uma localização estratégica. Altamente recomendado. Ficarei aqui novamente na próxima vez que vier a Hangzhou. Mesmo quando for para outras cidades, darei prioridade à marca S Time Walk.

Beautiful location just steps away from West Lake and its walking paths. Very quiet, off the road in the area. Great restaurants, cafes, tea houses within 2 minute walk. Clean, new rooms; well-furnished; good service… What’s not to like?

Good service, staff were friendly and helpful - my usb cord stopped working properly and they were able to lend me one for my stay. Good location near West Lake. Room was clean, comfortable and well equipped.

This was my first time staying at a guesthouse, and I lucked out and found a real gem! Years ago, a guesthouse in Xiamen scared me off, so I've avoided them ever since. But this trip, I was with my parents and two kids, and Hangzhou was hot with lots of walking involved to see the sights. So, finding accommodation near attractions was a must. After considering everything, I decided to look around Qingzhiwu. I saw Huage on Ctrip and loved its decor, and the real photos from other guests convinced me. Such an interesting place at such a great price! After researching all night, I booked two rooms for two nights. The next day, after finalizing our itinerary, I immediately added another night. The guesthouse's location is excellent for the price, very close to all the attractions. The owner is incredibly warm and thoughtful. He came out to greet us from a distance and was always there to help with whatever we needed. I even asked him how to take the public bus, and he went above and beyond, even showing me detailed pictures of the bus stop and correcting me when I was about to take the wrong direction. He even timed the bus arrival for me and called me to tell me how to get back – so many thoughtful gestures, I can't fit them all into one review. I've never written a review for a hotel because I feel like professional hotels just do what they're supposed to. But Huage is so much more than just a guesthouse; it felt like staying with family. So, on my last night, I'm writing this to thank the owner and highly recommend Huage to everyone.

The location I should said is one of the best around the area, with small restaurants, local more economical eats, convenient stores, a coffee joint all within minutes walk. Heading to LingYing Temple is just 500m walk. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful, we were thankful for the transfer out of the restricted zone on Saturday upon check-out. We had a very comfortable stay and lovely breakfast for our 2 nights there, except for the very flat and slightly stained pillows, all is good!

Opened in 2026, this hotel is located within the West Lake Scenic Area and is quite easy to find right by the road. The facilities are still new as it's recently renovated. However, the building itself is an old house, with very narrow stairs and poor sound insulation – you can hear noises from downstairs and the street late at night. For someone with allergies, it was a real struggle... the air conditioning unit was directly above my head. It was too hot with the AC off at night, but if I turned it on, it blew directly on me and I kept sneezing. Also, breakfast is delivered to the room on a tray, as there's no restaurant.

If West Lake had a quieter, more poetic side, this hotel is sitting right on it. The location is the real show-stealer. Set directly by West Lake, you’re greeted with some of Hangzhou’s most beautiful scenery—misty mornings, calm waters, ducks paddling by—without the usual tourist crowds. It’s the kind of place where time slows down whether you want it to or not. The hotel is made up of six two-storey villas, with Villas 1 and 2 converted from old residential houses, which gives parts of the property a heritage, guesthouse-style charm. There are three dining and leisure spaces: Yaoyuan Hall – where breakfast is served, with buffet lunch and dinner available at an additional cost (we didn’t try these). Xizi Hall – home to the Chinese restaurant. Yi Yuan – a lovely space to appreciate tea in a calm, traditional setting. Facilities are housed separately at Nan Yuan, which includes an indoor swimming pool (small, standard-sized), a gym, and costume/makeup services—great for those wanting period photography around West Lake. Now, honesty time—because sugar-coating helps no one. We were initially assigned a room in Villa 2, where the air-conditioning was completely non-functional. The room was extremely stuffy, and we were told this was “normal” and advised to open the windows, sheers, and curtains. In Hangzhou humidity? That answer didn’t quite land. After speaking with the villa concierge, we were shown a room in Villa 1, where the air-conditioning worked—but the room itself was noticeably run-down. At that point, we escalated to the lobby manager the next morning, who handled the situation well and upgraded us to Villa 6, the hotel’s newest addition. And what a difference. Villa 6 feels like a completely different hotel. Modern, well-maintained, and unmistakably more “hotel” than “guesthouse,” it finally matched the premium expectations set by the location. If you’re staying here, Villa 6 is absolutely the one to request. Despite the rocky start, the overall experience ended on a high note—especially for the kids. They loved the morning and evening strolls by the lake, feeding ducks, soaking in the scenery, and hopping on the internal buggy to move between points within the property. The staff deserve a special mention: consistently courteous, warm, and genuinely helpful, even when things didn’t go smoothly at first. Final verdict: An incredibly scenic, peaceful West Lake retreat with heartfelt service—but room quality varies greatly by villa. Choose wisely (Villa 6), and you’ll leave with beautiful memories, calm mornings, and a sense that Hangzhou quietly worked its magic on you.
