Been to Hokkaido many times but first time in Hakodate. Bourou Noguchi is one of the most expensive hotels in Yunokawa area. The Noguchi Group of hotels operates quite a few hotels in the Donan area (southern Hokkaido). Seems most, if not all, of the room are fitted with private onsen. We have a duplex room with living room and bedroom on the lower floor, and bath room on the upper floor. The room size is enormous by any Japan standard. With a premium price you pay, you get almost everything you need in a room, coffee beans and maker, free mini bar drinks, Loccitane toiletries, private in-room onsen, an empty Japanese style living room with no furniture where you can do yoga, two TVs. The room has windows on two sides facing east and west. The hotel as a whole takes a western style of decoration rather than a traditional style. I guess since most of the rooms has its own onsen, as a result the public bath on the top floor is not very outstanding, however, there are free drinks and ice cream on the lounge next to the onsen entrance. And the lounge has a nice view on Hakodate city and Mount Hakodate. Every room has its designated dining room in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both meals serve Japanese and western style dishes. My personal opinion is that Japanese dishes is better. Service in restaurant and front desk is as good as you will find in a Japanese hotel. On the ground floor there is a library, and a bar opens until late. There is not much in the surrounding area except onsen hotels, however, there are noodle shop, sushi restaurant and drug store nearby.

I stayed overnight with my wife. I could see the Tsugaru Strait from the room. It was cloudy, but I understood the wonderfulness of the location. The food was really good. The seafood was fresh and the food presentation was great. I was also happy that the mini bottle of the festival was included free of charge in the reservation plan. There was a semi-open-air bath in the large communal bath. It was nice to see the Tsugaru Strait from here. The staff at the inn, including Mr. Nakai, served the guests very politely. The stay at this inn was very comfortable. With such facilities, meals and services, I thought it was a great deal to have a total of about 80,000 yen for two people despite the Obon festival. This is a recommended inn.

There is no one who speaks English in the entire hotel, making communication extremely difficult. There is a free lounge available. The hotel has a beautiful view, facing the sea. The breakfast in the restaurant is absolutely rich and diverse in Japanese hotels. It is well soundproofed and quiet. There is service every night. Staff will make the bed, so please bring your own cash. There are fewer bus trips. The Japanese-style hotel we booked has a large room and an outdoor hot spring, which is great. The drinks in the refrigerator are free. The service staff forgot to give us replacement toothbrushes. Everything else is good. This is a chain group and also has one in Noboribetsu.

If you take the tram from Hakodate Station to Goryokaku Koenmae Station, it is a hotel almost in front of you. The bus stop of the ”Tobikko” bus to the airport is also nearby. Since the sun set at 16:15, I arrived at Hakodate Station and took the tram to the hotel. It was dark. There were fewer restaurants nearby. It was early to Luding. The hotel facilities were old, but the price was quite cheap. I think it is the best place to have a hot spring in Goryokaku. The facilities are route inns everywhere. If you say greed, there is a sauna and it is still good. It was GW but check-in, breakfast and check-out were smooth without conspicuous congestion. The staff was also skillfully turned around. It has been almost 3 years that we have not visited Japan. Once Japan opened tourism, we packed our bags. We decided this trip will be a trip to enjoy some onsen (hot springs bath) and to see some fall foliage in colors. We picked Hakodate for onsen. This hotel offers in room open air bath tub on the balcony with a 180 degree ocean view!! Our activities were focused on taking onsen and having great food at the hotel buffet restaurant. After a great onsen bath, we wore the clothing they provided to us to the restaurant, very layback and relaxing!! There were many families, old and very young at the hotel over the weekend. So we think families take short vacations here. Strongly recommend to add Hakodate and this hotel to be part of your tour in Japan !

This hotel is located at the Yunokawa area in Hakodate. It's reachable within 20 minutes from Hakodate bus terminal. There are three buses serving this area: 95, 95A and 96. There is also a direct bus from/to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto station with a fee of ¥900/person/way. We booked a Japanese-style room with a private onsen bath facing the ocean. The view is beyond our expectation. The room is super spacious - consisting of the entrance area, sleeping area, living room, a toilet, and bath area. They are still using the actual key instead of keycards. They served some snacks, tea, free beers, bottled water and cold tea. The room we booked also provided halfboard (dinner and breakfast). The food was amazing with many varieties, including our favourites - king crabs. All was served in a buffet style so you can eat this crab as much as you want.

A trip to Hokkaido on your own, two days of staying at this hotel. It is very strange that Ctrip has very little evaluation of this home. It is a relatively economical and practical hot spring hotel. Although the equipment is a bit old, there should be a small room. Very close to the sea, but the sound insulation is very good, so you can't sleep with the sound of the waves (laugh). Most importantly, this hot spring is very good, especially the outdoor soup, also known as the hot spring, the price of the next door is three times more expensive (I also live hahaha next door if loose). Anyway, the best value for money, recommend a small partner who loves hot springs哟
