This place is the perfect location for the German Quarter and the Bahai Gardens. Accommodations were clean and comfortable and our hosts were wonderful, they even offered us a ride up to the gardens which is significant walk up hill.

My family and I really enjoyed our 9-day stay at the Santa Maria. As Baha’i Pilgrims, we could not have been at a better location (see attached photo from our balcony). Our hosts were very accommodating and responsive to our needs. Restaurants, grocery stores, and a good health clinic are close by. In sum, we highly recommend the Santa Maria.

We arrived for one night to the place to visit the city area that is all lightened with Chris**as decoration. The location is just great, the guest house is the center of the interesting staff, all around restaurants and bars. The problem was that room was not clean at all, dust came out of everywhere and it was really frustrating to know we are going to breath all this dust for the night… also when we arrived air condition wasn’t checked and it took some time to the owner to fix it. Toilet had broken things, the hot water went cold after 2 people have showered so I had to shower with rather cold water as I already was inside the bath…For one night i am fine with all of this but of if I had to stay more I would go to another place.

Maria was extremely helpful when we first arrived and even had our room ready early which was much appreciated after a 24hr travel day. The room was clean. The guest house was very easy to locate.

The owners are very nice and let us have a bigger without additional charge. But the streets outside the windows are just noisy with lots of traffic. I’m a bit sorry to say that since the location is very nice.

The property is overpriced considering there is no breakfast and the fact that the accommodation is basic. The owners did provide numerous short car rides and even some laundry. These services were an excellent surprise. The building itself is old, but also histric (Geman Templar). It is at the base of the beautiful Bahai gardens with stunning views from the front of the property.

the location is perfect and the rooms are very spacious. We were there as a family of five, three teens and our family suite had two bedrooms and a living room with tv and couch so can sit someplace other than our beds. My only complaint is we had no hot water. It's warmish but not enough for me and I skipped a shower that day.
