I contacted the hotel to make a confirmation for my brother-in-law's anniversary dinner and was connected to Chamath Gamage, who supported me with a positive attitude & extended to help me out with the reservation since it was a special occasion at the hotel too where seating is limited. Thus being so Chamath reached out to Mr.Denver to seek advise. Within a span of 30 minutes Chamath called me back & confirmed informing me that the reservation is successful & the hotel could have my brother-in-law & his wife to enjoy their anniversary evening at the hotel that evening. I am grateful for Chamath for making the service matter along with a supportive team who was able to facilitate our request midst the special occasion. The room is clean and specious for 3 of us and the lacking only no toothbrush provided, only 2 towels instead we paid for 3 persons. Breakfast was ok only the noodles is not properly cooked as it is still hard to chewed😅. (Still room for improvement) The main highlights was the service we received from the bellboy Mangala. He is very helpful, approachable and always smiling. Others then that it is easy to get the public transportation i.e. tuk tuk and car. Definitely we will be coming back again. Thank you

The location of the hotel is I liked the most, it has a greta view from the room, while it has access to the Mall and the nearby office buildings. It makes it so convenient for business. The staff were amazing, they never let you down, even if you ask them stupid questions or bother them with strange requests. The breakfast was great. The bar at the lobby level is too good... the live music and the outdoor sitting area I liked about the Bar.

My room is on 24 floor has a fantastic view on the green lake, skyscrapers and a port of Galle face green. The room was always clean and fully equiped - much thanks for housekeeping to Dhananjaya!

Stayed for five nights in total, breakfast was good. The pool is nice. Just a bit far. Gym does not provide water. Good service. But the room facilities are outdated. First night, there was blood on the towels. On the last night of my stay, at one o'clock in the morning, the tenants had a party in the room and in the aisle. The music was loud, dancing and chatting. It lasted for more than an hour. I made four calls to the front desk. I guess the hotel sent someone every time. I tried to stop it, but it didn't work at all. I didn't calm down until the fourth time. At that time, it was already two o'clock in the morning, and I didn't sleep all night.

I went there thinking it was a historic hotel, but I was disappointed from the lobby. The lobby was very hot and the room was full of old and broken items. The hotel corridor was dark and the floor creaked when I walked on it, so I was afraid that a monster would come out. And because there were few guests, the dinner buffet was not operated. The dinner menu was expensive and tasteless. Fortunately, breakfast was a buffet, so I was happy. However, the omelet was too salty and burned. I really hate that kind of food. This hotel does not do what customers order. The only good thing about this hotel is its location. In order to increase cost-effectiveness, it seems that the price of the hotel should be lowered or the interior should be changed to a modern one so that the price is higher. Change is needed anyway. I will never look for this hotel again. And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone around me.

That experience is very attractive . Roof top bar is little bit crowded in weekend . But bar staff provide quick service. Also Room has consist with modern features . And Room has bath tab . It is really nice. Overall experience is really worth for money.staff was very friendly. We visited C1 Fort hotel Colombo end March 2023, as a couple. The hotel is located in the center of Colombo, close to the Fort train station and World Trade Center. The location serves as an excellent starting point for exploration of Sri Lanka's biggest city. Modern and tidy reception floor and kind and smiling staff make sure that your needs are attended to quickly. We needed an early check-in and it was no problem to arrange it. The room was very big and featured good AC system. Prices are fair and affordable. Guests (especially smokers) will love this place because it features very big covered rooftop terrace, outfitted with ventilators. Morning cofee or a nightcap with a view to the city you will not forget. Right next to the hotel there is a bar where you can bring your drinks from, and just around the corner there is big souvenir shop (Laksala – State owned gift and souvenir shop) with low prices. If you are starting your Sri Lanka tour from here it may be advisable to buy some souvenirs here, because the same items will be considerably more expensive if you buy them elsewhere around the country. Currency exchange point is conveniently located 20m from the hotel entrance, tuk tuk ride as well. The Fort district with restaurants is 5 min walk from the hotel. When we come back to Colombo, we will certainly come back to stay at this place, there is no better recommendation.

Before the end of the holiday, we still planned to stay in Colombo for one day before leaving, so we still booked this hotel and checked in at ten in the morning. Since the guests had just checked out, we needed to wait for cleaning, so we sat on the side while the staff sent us there. The juice was served, just when the mouth was dry, the juice was like a timely rain. After a while, a manager said that cleaning would take some time and invited us to have a buffet breakfast. We politely declined, after all, it was a bit expensive, and then we went to the mall downstairs to eat. We bought something and just came back. The manager asked us if he could buy us a cup of coffee. We happily accepted it and were very touched at the same time because the wait was caused by our own early check-in, but the hotel tried to save us from the long wait. It's not pleasant to do so much, thank you very much

OK Folks once upon time this used to be one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka. That was decades ago, this is one of the very few Sri lankan government owned hotel today. This is not so luxurious to match a five star, but a pretty good hotel which fits in well for a three star. There are glitches here and there, it's an old building, you might find the hot water not working or a broken switch, pardon that, the hotel is working very hard to fix those with the little financial resources they have. The staff of the hotel are very kind and hard working. If you request them for something, they will not hesitate to try there best to satisfy your needs. The hotel has undergone a renovation recently and working hard to maintain a good menu of food. Again people are good and hard working but with the financial resources they have, there are limitations. Overall its a good 3 star hotel with a decent menu of food and really polite people. Help them by reserving your rooms with this little place which has a big history, the more guest who visit this place, the more money they get, so they can serve you better the next time your arrive. Be kind when making your reviews, try to look through the eyes of good people here who are trying to make your stay the best ever. Let encourage more people to use thus hotel so they can soon start to cater you with five star perfection.

Where can I begin to start about this hotel? From the minute we walked through the door you would think you were in a 5* hotel with the level of service you receive. The room was modern and beds extremely comfortable. There were a few bits of damage but nothing we couldn't see past. The only gripe I had with the room is that because the Make up room/ Do not disturb LED light is beside the bed this lights up blue on a night and can be bothersome. A fantastic mention for our housekeeper Gihan keeping us well stocked in towels and everything tidy. The pool is well maintained and pool towels are of a very good quality. We looked in the gym and contrary to a previous review the air con works. Bar service and the range of drinks are excellent, as is the Cafe on the ground floor which has excellent cakes and is very reasonably priced. Infact we couldn't believe it. I have been here for long vacation and untlimately ends up being in thia hotel longterm. This is hotel has no customer service, bizzar laguage been used by the receptionist cum cahsire. Managemt dont care about the customers, they all belive what the reseptionests says. No water, literally there is no water . Specifically towerds in the evening No hot water at all. If you need to have a wash you must call the receptionist and inform . The evilish receptionist name call Janani calls you at 7.30 am and if there is adelay then thats theend of the story. They charge big but not nevern giving daily complimentry water bottles even. If you stay for one night and the bed.linon is good then they will flip the covers upside and down and prepare fro the next customer airrivals. Complimentry towels offerd to customer is beenused to wipe the toilet .customer used towels been used to cleen toilet.floors after wasing the lavatory . No room.service for two days . As per hotel policy they dont change or clen the rooms for days if customer staying. Broken toilet equipments. Most of the rooms in the hotel has cheap hotel itmes such as ,beds and stiff sprin metress ,toilet equipments and ect .is not upto a standerd . Dingy elivator workes sometime and sometine its dont . Per room.one bedsheet and two soft pillows have been given even if there is two custowes stay at room. Overall this place is a horrifying experiance for me .though you have paid money, this is a place you cant expect customer service , they priorities money on the meantime customer is been treated very very bad . Starting from managemnt to ground level staffs . Last but not least price point they selling such a low scaled hotel really high. hence i would like to request tripasvosor to re evaluate the service standerds .

We stayed 2 nights there. 1st night at level-4 at first visit and then 2nd night at level-8 and second visit. From level-8 room we got a nice view of the city and the Colombo port. Room was comfortable, although not so big. They don't provide dental kit in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good. And finally the location is also very good. It is just behind the historic Dutch Hospital, which is now used as restaurants. It is also walking distance from the Galle face green and One Galle Face mall.

City Hotel Colombo 02 is simply an excellent hotel. After days and days in average hotels, it has been a dream to be here. -The service has been great, the receptionist was very professional and friendly. -The room was perfect, it was huge, with an amazing bathroom, a terrific shower and some nice complimentary products such as tea and instant coffee. -TV, Air conditioning, hair dryer, WIFI were great as well. -The location of City Hotel Colombo 02 is good, very close to the centre. I had a really great stay. High recommended!

I went there thinking it was a historic hotel, but I was disappointed from the lobby. The lobby was very hot and the room was full of old and broken items. The hotel corridor was dark and the floor creaked when I walked on it, so I was afraid that a monster would come out. And because there were few guests, the dinner buffet was not operated. The dinner menu was expensive and tasteless. Fortunately, breakfast was a buffet, so I was happy. However, the omelet was too salty and burned. I really hate that kind of food. This hotel does not do what customers order. The only good thing about this hotel is its location. In order to increase cost-effectiveness, it seems that the price of the hotel should be lowered or the interior should be changed to a modern one so that the price is higher. Change is needed anyway. I will never look for this hotel again. And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone around me.

The location of the hotel is I liked the most, it has a greta view from the room, while it has access to the Mall and the nearby office buildings. It makes it so convenient for business. The staff were amazing, they never let you down, even if you ask them stupid questions or bother them with strange requests. The breakfast was great. The bar at the lobby level is too good... the live music and the outdoor sitting area I liked about the Bar.

Eat here - Just perfect! Great atmosphere. You sit in the middle of a idyllic garden under a beautiful tree. Nilmini, Dilruk and Krishmal have taken care of us super and explained the buffet great. Goodbye to the chef Sujith - Your food is excellent! We will definitely come back!

Extremely clean rooms. Located on a side street and therefore very quiet. No street noise to be heard, no strays barking all night and very helpful and super friendly staff. This is my second time here and certainly not the last. A good start for those arriving for their first nights.

The Western breakfast was great. I could eat it every day. The room was clean, but there was a problem with the door lock design. After entering the room, I had to use a mobile phone to light and light to lock the door! Very inconvenient!
