The check-in process was smooth, and to our delight, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a Royal Suite in the palace tower. Stepping into our suite, we were greeted by spacious elegance and panoramic views of the beach and lagoon. Every detail, from the plush furnishings to the tasteful decor, exuded luxury and comfort. The grounds of the Hilton Waikoloa Village are a true testament to paradise. Meticulously maintained gardens, winding pathways, and cascading waterfalls create an oasis of serenity amidst the lush landscape. We spent hours exploring the resort, discovering hidden gems around every corner. Whether lounging by the pool, strolling along the sandy shores, or indulging in a rejuvenating spa treatment, every moment was a blissful escape from reality. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the friendly greetings to the attentive care, every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Whether offering recommendations for dining or arranging memorable excursions, their genuine hospitality made our experience truly unforgettable. As seasoned travelers who have explored destinations around the globe, we can confidently say that our time at the Hilton Waikoloa Village surpassed all expectations. The resort was all that we expected and more! Staff is very friendly and treats guests in the most welcoming way. At all times, they are fastidious about service and helping you enjoy the experience and take in the marvelous scenery. The hotel is located in a semi-remote area, with only a few restaurants near by, nevertheless you will not want to leave the resort as it is so beautiful and has enough choices for dining on the property. As expected, prices are high but I felt the experience was worth. On our last day there were may children and families which made it a bit loud at the pool, but there is an adult pool option that was much quieter. I highly recommend it and will look for more Auberge Resorts in the future!

We had anticipated this trip for a few years, which we postponed twice due to COVID. Our trip to Kohala Suites and the Big Island was EXCELLENT. Everyone at the HGVC was friendly and helpful. The grounds are amazing and beautiful. I am planning a return trip because 7 days wasn't enough time. We could have stayed much longer. The Island and people are spectacular and the resort was a great place to stay when we needed to rest and have some down time. I highly recommend this Kohala Suites and the Hilton properties in the area. The shuttle bus to to the Lagoon at the large Hilton Hotel was convenient and I just cannot say enough about the positive experience our whole family and our guests enjoyed.

The hotel was fixed, but because the trip was cancelled, there was no check-in, and the first day’s payment was deducted. Unfortunately.

The service is poor, the guests who are not very good at the language are not patient enough. The front desk does not look at the order carefully. If I have already paid the full amount of the room, I will re-collect it once! Bad review!

Hotel is very nice with many swimpools and beach. But service is not that great and hotel breakfast is expensive and not good. I paid so much for each day and you don’t get too much service. If you book early I think it’s still worth it to stay this hotel. Location is very good, near by have markets and shop is very unique. I would like to thank you Ctrip for all you hard work make our holiday very special.

PROS: - The property - The views at the property - The live music CONS: - Everything else. We so wanted to love Moana! But even as a (too) forgiving individual, the restaurant was just…. bad. Service was painfully slow, wrong dishes were delivered, flavors were interesting enough (i.e. scallops with a unique bbq-type aftertaste) but *nowhere* near the level that warrants the prices. The couple behind us were complaining loudly when we arrived about the experience being “totally unacceptable.” We chalked that up to their being bratty & privileged, but in the end, they weren’t wrong. The servers were all very nice and lovely — it’s not their fault. This is more a Rosewood issue. Even aspects like the restroom — towels on the floor, a sink not draining, etc. Very surprising. Dinner at the down-to-earth Jackie Hey’s (sp.?) in Kona was approximately 17,000x more impressive, across the board. Also surprising. Vaguely chaotic exit too with the valet, who seemed like he was being run ragged. Moana is still finding its footing. It’s got a long way to go.
