We stayed here for two nights for my sons tournament. It was (mostly) clean (a little iffy on the shower tiles and a hair in my bed) but otherwise clean. Rooms were very spacious and front desk was super helpful. The bed were very uncomfortable for me (wayyy too soft) but my family was okay. The air vent while running heat blasted directly onto my face and it was not pleasant and dried my mouth and face out. Did not provide a dish sponge but received one at the front desk and also borrowed a blender which was convenient. Pool looked clean, hot tub did not. Putting area is very small, one hole and basketball was one hoop, but fun things to do as time killers. Breakfast was probably the best quality I’ve had for a chain hotel brand. Would stay here again but only if we did not get a wheel accessible room and if the beds were not as soft.

There was a time when Hilton DoubleTree was considered the finest lodging in Arizona. But based on our stay at the Phoenix-Gilbert location, the luster has certainly warn off. The first moment my wife and I walked into our room we realized this was not the top of the line accomodations we had come to expect from DoubleTree Hilton. The room was sp****ly furnish, very unappealing and dingy. There were no water or coffee cups and no shampoo. It took a visit to the first floor lobby to retrieve the items. Also, the room was in need of a complete dusting which it hadn't had as evidenced by the layer of dirt and fine particles on the furnishings and floor. Rendering the stay even more frustrating was the lofty daily rate of almost $200 we were charged plus$17 for small snack items we purchased checking in. A simple price check on area travel sites showed there were comparable hotels nearby at much more reasonable daily rates. The one redeeming factor of our stay was the courteous, professional staff at the hotel. No more Doubletree Hiltons stays for us.

Hotel was nice and super clean. We stayed here for a bit as needed a 2 bedroom due to house fire, then moved to Chandler big mistake, so came back here. Staff were all helpful and friendly. As we had multiple reservations due to not knowing how long we needed, we kept having to change room, which was a pain would have been nice to stay in one room rather than keep moving, but other than that everything was good. Area felt safe. Housekeeping doesn't clean everyday but you only have to call for supplies or trash removal. Lots of places to eat very close by too which was a blessing. Good breakfast and managers reception on some nights. Free laundry was great !!Would recommend staying here.

Our hotel stay was extremely pleasant! Clerk Ryan was the highlight of our trip. Hotel was clean, centrally located for all of our needs. The construction down the road was a bit of a buzzkill, but everything about our hotel stay was awesome. Highly recommend this property. We will be back and will absolutely stay here again.

I had to beg lady at desk for clean sheets and towels and she said she wouldn’t give them to me until I left the dirty ones in a bag outside my door! I explained to her that I had just worked all night and wasn’t going to steal their sheets and that I would bring the dirty ones down immediately if she would just give me the sheets so I could make my bed and go to sleep. She reluctantly gave them to me but was very rude. I get housekeeping has been cut back due to Covid but if I’m doing everything myself then how about helping instead of hindering? Dang! The carpet is pretty bad. People smoke all the time, there was a cigarette butt on the floor for 2 days, the ac doesn’t keep room cool and shuts off frequently as if it had met set temperature. The only positive thing I can say about this place is the location is good and the maintenance gentleman has been the nicest employee and quick to help me when my drain was clogged and fixed the card swipe on the back door plus he always smiles and waves and asked how things are going. Oh and the nt shift clerk gentleman was nice too. If my company hadn’t been paying for my stay I would have bounced out the next night.

Great room, but over priced. We stayed at this hotel being that it was close to my sons baseball tournament. This was the 2nd time we stayed here. The first stay the room rate was much less. Room and lobby were clean. Being that we just booked here to be close to the tournament, i feel it was fairly pricey. Will look at other locations next time around.

The breakfast bar was not proactive replacing omelets as the chafing dish emptied, but more arrived within ten or fifteen minutes. Some staff wore, while others eschewed masks. In the room, there is a padded bench at the foot of the bed whose padding was visibly relaxed. The heavy bed cover was good to combat a thermostat set to 76 degrees when first going to sleep, but proved too heavy after the bed warmed. I am an Arizona boy, so your results may differ. I set the AC to 82 degrees - the setting I use at home, and the next night's sleep under just the sheet was solid. Television is kind of bland, but not overly so. There seemed to be pay options, but I did not partake. Wireless served the room adequately. There was a small coffee maker with those coffee-filled paper filter pillows about the size of a silver dollar; two caffeinated, and two regular with cellophane packets containing creamer, sugar, a stir stick, fake sugar, and a napkin. Several paper coffee cups with separate cardboard sleeves for serving were in the coffee basket, which also held travel lids. The big elegant shower took a while to heat; not unexpected. Plenty of towels were there, along with a rubber shower mat and bath mat. The countertop held shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, lotion, a shower cap, and a sachet with cotton swabs (I think). Bar soap was boxed beside the sink, with no backup bar. The towels are not within easy reach from the shower, so remember to position a bath towel in advance or at least put down the terrycloth bath mat before you step in. The room was neat, clean, and tidy. The second day, I posted the Do Not Disturb sign in the morning. Taking it down as I left meant the room was not cleaned, or supplies refreshed. I did not check to see if I had to ask for the room to be serviced. There is a closet with hangers, ironing board, iron, and a luggage frame. The window had blackout curtains, but if you don't wake with the sun, make sure you get a tight closure. Regardless, some light did seep in under the blackout curtain. I didn't try out any other amenities. The room served its purpose. To improve, let's begin considering that some of us are night owls, who are discomfited when compelled to wake before the crack of noon in order to take advantage of a breakfast we are compelled to subsidize. Figure out the calculus of providing a 24-hour continental breakfast, and you're going to grow quite the loyal following.

GGuest UserGreat room, but over priced. We stayed at this hotel being that it was close to my sons baseball tournament. This was the 2nd time we stayed here. The first stay the room rate was much less. Room and lobby were clean. Being that we just booked here to be close to the tournament, i feel it was fairly pricey. Will look at other locations next time around.

GGuest UserThere was a time when Hilton DoubleTree was considered the finest lodging in Arizona. But based on our stay at the Phoenix-Gilbert location, the luster has certainly warn off. The first moment my wife and I walked into our room we realized this was not the top of the line accomodations we had come to expect from DoubleTree Hilton. The room was sp****ly furnish, very unappealing and dingy. There were no water or coffee cups and no shampoo. It took a visit to the first floor lobby to retrieve the items. Also, the room was in need of a complete dusting which it hadn't had as evidenced by the layer of dirt and fine particles on the furnishings and floor. Rendering the stay even more frustrating was the lofty daily rate of almost $200 we were charged plus$17 for small snack items we purchased checking in. A simple price check on area travel sites showed there were comparable hotels nearby at much more reasonable daily rates. The one redeeming factor of our stay was the courteous, professional staff at the hotel. No more Doubletree Hiltons stays for us.
