Nice mountain view from the room, but the room is not big. The hotel located 10 mins walk from the Grindlewald station and 2 mins walk from the First Bahn to go Grindlewald First. The breakfast is nice but it’s only open at 7am hence it’s quite rush if you have early activity which you have to leave the hotel early e.g to go to Jung frau.
This is an accommodation that made me cry and laugh during my trip to Switzerland :) First of all, if you look at the facilities, it is clean and nice since it was recently opened. There was an elevator and a kitchen available, but there were almost no dishes or appliances. There was no problem with cooking at all.
The location is a very far walk from Grindelwald Station, or a short bus ride away. 🌟Throw away the idea of walking with your luggage on the first day.🌟 This is a vertical hike that you can never climb without carrying your luggage. Be sure to check the bus schedule before taking the bus (it's convenient to use the SBB app). Your accommodation will give you a Grindelwald guest card, so you can ride the bus for free. (I had a Jungfrau VIP coupon, so I didn’t use it.)
The reasons I cried were:
1) As soon as I arrived, there was no one, so I called and waited for about an hour, but no one answered and didn't come. There were people staying, so I had to wait in the lobby. I had another number on my laptop, so I called, but no one answered.
2) While I was waiting, a man called and asked why I was calling. When I told him I wanted to check in, he said I was fully booked for today, so what did I mean? I told him my reservation number and he said he would understand. Later, he came running in from outside and asked for my passport. Didn't say a single word of apology. (I was very angry here.) Anyway, in conclusion, he said that there was a reservation history on Trip.com but not in his system, so he had me check it and said he would do something about it since there were no rooms available. However, his attitude was not that he was sorry and was trying to do something, but rather that he was annoyed with me.
3) In the end, they gave us our room keys condescendingly, as if they had made it very difficult for us to get a room, and we were very upset that they were sorry for waiting for an hour and that there was no compensation, but we wanted to rest in the room quickly, so we brought the keys up. However, as shown in the picture, they gave me a room without a terrace... Obviously, the room I paid for had a terrace on the reservation screen, and I made the reservation with that in mind, so when I went to argue with them, they said that the room I had reserved was that room.
(I was told that it was given to me because I had created a room, but when I went down and inquired, I found out that the room was originally assigned...)
4) Then, while showing a picture of the reservation screen on 'Booking.com', he enthusiastically emphasizes that the room may or may not have a terrace. The problem is that I paid through 'Trip.com' and the room type I booked on Trip.com is not available. All photos showed a terrace. When I said that, he got very angry and told me to cancel it for free and to leave if I didn't like it.
To be honest, these words sounded very threatening to me, and I was so intimidated by the man's attitude that I was afraid that he might do something to me. I sometimes wonder if they are speaking in such a threatening manner because I am a woman and Asian.
[I notified Booking.com's customer service center of my move, and now the reservation screen for the room I selected also includes a photo of a room without a terrace.]
Anyway, for this reason, I started my trip to Switzerland very angry and depressed. ㅠ ㅠ
This room does not have a terrace and has a tree view, as someone left in a Google review... lol Next time I go again, I think I'll just choose the room one level up because I'm worried about getting this room.
Also, the toilet and bathroom were attached together, so it was shared by 3 rooms. Please note.

The Hotel Location is perfect, if you go to JungFrau, exactly nearby the Grindelwald Terminal. There is a Coop in the Terminal, so every convenient, especially when all Coop closed on Mon, while this one still on duty.
The view of our room is perfect at 3/F. The room is clean and nice.
2 minor sides are:
1) the breakfast choices are limited, mostly are cold dishes. Although the food range is limited, it is all fresh with good taste. The coffee machine is a bit new to visitors.
2) the room does not have refrigerator. So, we store our food at the balcony😂 natural refrigerator. However, it is convenient and we guess in summer, the food will…..
Overall the stay is very nice!!!
The pinnacle, quite literally, of our Swiss trip was in the beautiful alpine village of Grindelwald. The Konzett family runs their historic, charming boutique hotel in the heart of the village, convenient to everything including the train station. The hotel is a thoughtfully appointed, subtly luxurious hotel with super friendly and professional staff. This was the first European trip for our grandchildren, and the staff made certain it would be a trip of a lifetime for them. The Hotel Kreuz & Post was the perfect choice for both the adults and children. The staff is top drawer--professional, kind, extra accommodating and everything you would expect in a luxury hotel. Highest recommendation for an authentic stay in the Swiss Alps. Kudos to all the Konzetts and staff!
The greatest hotel!! The location is so close to the station, employees are really awesome, the view from the window was so fantastic. They upgraded my hotel room from single to view room i think, the landscape from the window, The Eiger mountain was super fantastic. Amazing hotel, super recommended
The Belvedere exceeded all I hoped for in the usual issues like cleanliness, friendly helpful staff, and assisting in planning adventures in the region. What went well above my hopes was the entire staff's attitude toward the dietary restrictions for my travel partner. There is no information concerning availability of gluten-free meals contained in Belvedere's information BUT I have never seen such a positive and cheerful attitude by a staff. If you are or are travelling with someone who is gluten challenged, you absolutely must stay here. Once we talked with the restaurant staff for the initial meal (dinner) they would have gluten free foods and options already prepared for every other meal before we could even ask. We will be returning to this area and will always stay at the Belvedere.
Excitement when we booked the hotel: five stars hotel, a restaurant with 14 points on Gault & Millau, spa and gorgeous views over the Eiger mountain. But disappoin**ent when we arrived. Nobody to greet us or help us with the luggage. The tables on the garden next to the entrance were covered of empty packs of cigarettes and overflowing ashtrays. When we arrived at the front desk, there was only one person, who took care of the couple of friends that were travelling with us, and suddenly a guy appeared that seemed to have just jumped out of bed and hastily took our luggage. As check-in was not until 3 PM, we went out to enjoyed the day. Came back a 2:50 PM and the room still wasn’t available because check-in was at 3 as the front desk person repeated. I would have hoped that 10 minutes to 3, the room would be ready… I was told to wait in the lobby. No drinks. No service. At that point I really was not feeling welcome. The tables in the lobby were covered in dirty cups everywhere. After 10 minutes, I go to the front desk and finally can get checked in. This is when I am handed a pass for public transports and a discount voucher for the ski pass. Would have been more useful in the morning that when the day was over. I then go to the room: no luggage. I had to phone the front desk to get it delivered. The view was as promised: gorgeous! The room however, very meh. It had a vibe of the early 90’s. Carpet’s colours washed off by the sun. Outdated furbishing, bathroom included. Cheap plastic ashtray turned upside down on the balcony that was covered in a fake grass carpet. Certainly not worth 660 CHF a night (ca. 700 USD). We had booked a massage a few weeks prior, lucky for us they changed our slot but we still had our trea**ent. Our friends however, booked in August and the hotel cancelled without any notification because a massage therapist was sick and they reallotted the slot my friends booked to someone else. The gastronomic restaurant was supposed to be closed but our friends managed to get a 7-course menu organized. We were all very excited but disappointed as the dishes got served. First dish was so small we thought it was an amuse-bouche. Then we had a mere soup that was so sweet, it could have been a dessert. And then a scoop of passion fruit ice-cream. I will not mention all the dishes, but the menu was really uneventful and unworthy of a 14 Gault & Millau restaurant. Also no explanation provided about the dishes when they were getting served. At that stage, we suspected it was not the food of the gastronomic restaurant, but they served us the same menu they were serving the night before for New Year’s Eve. Menu with wine turned out to be 230 CHF (ca. 250 USD) per person. Pretty hefty for what we got. After dinner we went to the lobby’s bar for a last drink. Again, the table was dirty and I had to ask the waitress to clean it. Check-out the next day was also very laborious with a guy with messed up hair, again, not a good image for a
Eiger Lodge Chic - Grindelwald: I didn’t realize that the Eiger Lodge was located in Grindelwald Grund – Terminal, not in the heart of Grindelwald. Having noted that, I must say that our 7 nights at the lodge with a room and balcony facing Mt Eiger and sumptuous breakfast, I was happy for my mistake. The lodge is near the Terminal from where we purchased tickets and left via cable car for the Top of Europe – Jungfrau, and took the Mannlichen - Wengen cable cars, as well as the main Grindelwald Terminal train station. There is also a ‘shuttle train’ which runs between Grindelwald Grund and the main Grindelwald town. It’s also a few steps away from the lodge (on the other side). The owner and staff are very personable and very helpful. The lodge is an interesting mix of hostel and hotel. We were in the newly opened ‘Chic’ section. Waking up to those incredible views from our balcony was priceless. Their laundry facility is somewhat limited for the number of guests. Line-up is via the honor system – first come / first can use it. The Eiger Lodge also runs a nearby campsite (5 minute walk). Breakfast can be enjoyed inside or outside. The lodge has an outdoor restaurant (open evenings) with covered and uncovered seating. We ate there several times – good food / limited menu / cold beer. The lodge provides all guests with a free bus pass. We used ours to get to the town of Grindelwald, so we could take the cable car to Grindelwald First, where we also hiked to Bachalspsee and met the contented Swiss cows. Highly recommended.

VVanjaiThe cable car 🚡 is so stable. The atmosphere on the mountain is good. There are different fun in different seasons. In addition, the sky is good. Don’t be afraid that people who are tall must try to punch in. It’s really beautiful in nature.
Eiger
横横竖是二温小迪The peak is known as Europe's first dangerous peak, and its north side is even steeper, with an average slope of 70 degrees and a vertical drop of 1800 meters. But the more dangerous it is, the more it can inspire the interest of explorers and climbers. A tragedy of failure to climb the north slope is recorded on the Jungfrau railway passport. We ordinary people can enjoy it under the mountain, and Grindwa is a great place to enjoy Mount Eiger. The dreamy slopes of the net red are at the foot of Mount Eiger.

Gletscherschlucht
吃吃喝玩乐好开心Take the tooth rail train, "climb" to the famous Jungfrau 3450 meters observation deck in Switzerland, but unfortunately the sky is not beautiful, the snow is too big and nothing is seen. The tooth rail railway is a solution to replace the exhibition line and long tunnel in the steep natural slope. The actual steepest slope of ordinary rail railways in the world is 70 ‰ (1:14), and when it reaches 60 ‰ and above, it is necessary to use gears and tooth rails that fit with the tooth rails to prevent sliding due to insufficient adhesion between the wheels and rails. There are many tooth rail railways in Switzerland, which are a powerful tool for mountaineering. The railway that goes directly to the mouth of Jungfrau from Kleine Scheidegg is the most famous one.
Bachalpsee
翱翱翔的大鲨鱼It should be the most beautiful lake in Switzerland. Bachalpsee Lake at 2265 meters above sea level is an alpine lake in the Jungfrau Mountains. The most beautiful moment is the reflection of the schreckhorn's sharp and towering mountaintops on the lake as calm as a mirror. The trail, from first to bachalpsee, was named one of the world's 15 most classic trails by National Geographic in 2012 and described as beautifully absurd.
