I loved the lake view from my room, and highly recommend higher floors. The bathtub with the open view was also amazing,the beds were soft and sleek. However,I would not rate this hotel as 5 stars; the decor is quite old with its dark colours, a bit worn out wallpapers and quite old carpets in the corridor. It was very noisy with lots of families and their kids. Buliding 1 has two lifts only and you end up waiting and being squashed in a lift all the time. Coming down to breakfast restaurant was about strange as the lift takes you to the basement parking so one needs to go past the cars unless you want to walk outside the building.The breakfast was buzzing with too many people impatient to que politely. Most importantly, I really feel the front desk service needs a lot of improvement; I understand that nobody speaks English, we can use translators,but noone welcomed me properly and wished me a nice stay: my Alipay and passport only mattered. I was lucky with Xio Qian ( front desk boy) who offered to help and share the information about amenities and trips around the lake. I am very grateful to him. The gym in building 5 was a disappointment; One swimming pool is to be shared between 4 other buildings. Because it rained, the water was quite cold in the pool. Overall,this hotel would suit families and kids mainly,but i would not recommend it to single expats and certainly would not rate it as a 5 star hotel.

We arrived in the afternoon and were quickly checked in. We were delighted to receive a free upgrade and some gifts for the children. The rooms were spacious, well kept and bright. We had a great view of the lake despite the rainy weather. The children's play room was very impressive. There was hours of fun for the younger one, who visited every day of our stay. The staff were particularly kind and helpful. Kate and Huan were very helpful. They were super friendly and looked after our child well. Breakfast and dinner was extensive. There was Chinese and Western options so everyone was pleased. We would definitely stay again. Thank you to all staff for such a lovely stay.

As the hotel indicated, the hotel bus leaving from the HSR stops at the hotel. It is also a few bus stops from the tourist pier where all ferry and boat tours begin. The service of the hotel is commendable. A female staff (who looks like a supervisor) at the counter was most helpful. She offered good advice and helped us with the luggage. It was also very thoughtful of the hotel to offer free sweet congee which was delivered to our room after dinner. The hotel room is very comfortable. We were upgraded to a lake view room which was very appreciated. Overall, we have had a very happy stay at the hotel.

I strongly recommend you experience a stay at Hilton Hangzhou Qiandaohu. It was one of the most comfortable stays ever. Maksim, one of the hotel employees, helped us from the start to the end. As a Korean, traveling in China is extremely difficult because of the language barrier. Although, I speak English, most of the Chinese do not. But, Maksim was able to speak 4 languages fluently; Korean, English, Russian and Chinese. He was happy to answer any questions regardless of time. So, if you are a foreigner considering a visit to Qiandaohu, Hilton is the place, and find Maksim when you do so. The hotel upgraded my room when I got there and prepared a nice welcoming fruit in the room. The hotel has a lot of fun activities, and nice restaurants. My girlfriend and I had an unforgettable memories here.

The resort is very relaxing as it faces the lake, and one can see sunset here. In particular, there’s tasteful music at various (outdoor) locations within the hotel premises. It makes for a great staycation, and it’s not too far from attractions such as Tian Yu Mountain. Service is great, and the breakfast selection caters to all diet, including vegan. We could feel the sincerity of service staff but my only gripe would probably be the shower temperature that sometimes run cold after awhile.

The hotel is very suitable for taking photos and the environment is very good. The room is spacious and has good privacy. The sound insulation is average, and the sound from the corridor can be heard clearly in the room. Fortunately, it was off-season when we went there, so it didn't have much impact. The restaurant is quite satisfactory, with many dishes to choose from, and the same menu for lunch and dinner, with moderate taste. Breakfast is mainly Chinese food, and there are very few Western food options. The set meal is better in taste and quantity. The island is very natural and has a good view. It is more considerate to apply for free snacks purchased by yourself. What is more surprising is that all food and drinks in the refrigerator in the room are charged. Overall, the hotel's scenery and environment are higher than expected, and the rest are quite satisfactory. It is also recommended to equip the room with the necessary facilities for ironing.

We were really impressed with this hotel. It is in a fantastic location- lovely lake views and right next to the main wharf. The facilities are excellent and there is a good range of food at breakfast, including cereals and pastries. Staff do not speak English but will do their best to help. We would stay again.

The swimming pool is closed in September. Too early. I went there in the end of September and the temperature was 28 celsius degree! I hope in the future, they can consider to open it… Front desk are very helpful and kind. I really enjoyed my time there! Thank you!

The room facilities are good, clean and tidy, the breakfast is very rich, the front desk beauty service is friendly and sweet, and we were given a room upgrade. There are also welcome fruits.
