I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crowne Plaza Chengdu, and overall, it was a very satisfying experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm and professional service. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I was promptly shown to my room. The room itself was spacious, well-appointed, and offered all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel of this caliber. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploring Chengdu. The bathroom was clean and modern, with a great shower that had strong water pressure—a small detail that makes a big difference. One of the standout features of Crowne Plaza Chengdu is its excellent location. It’s situated right in the heart of the city, making it easy to access popular attractions, shopping centers, and restaurants. This convenience made my stay even more enjoyable, as I could easily walk or take a short ride to wherever I needed to go. The hotel's dining options were also impressive. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of both Western and Chinese dishes, ensuring that there was something for everyone. The quality of the food was high, and I particularly enjoyed the fresh pastries and local specialties. The facilities at Crowne Plaza Chengdu are top-notch. The fitness center was well-equipped, and the indoor pool was a great place to relax after a long day. I also appreciated the business center, which made it easy to catch up on work when needed. While the hotel is slightly older, it is well-maintained, and the charm of the classic design adds to the overall experience. In summary, Crowne Plaza Chengdu exceeded my expectations in terms of service, comfort, and convenience. It’s a great choice for both business and leisure travelers, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Chengdu.

Despite of the excellent location and hardware, what makes the Chengdu JW Marriott stand out from all the other competitors from the city is definitely the service. Floy is absolutely the best service manager I have ever met in my worldwide journeys and I will feel guilty if I don’t share my experience with anyone who is looking for a perfect hotel in Chengdu.

Great layover experience. Attentive and caring service from every staff at this hotel. Front desk staff Gali went out of the way to assist me in booking theatre ticket and patiently providing travel tips to me as a first time traveller to ChengDu. We rented two rooms, as they do not have a family style suit. Overall, the place is located at the center of the city. Very convenient with shops and restaurants at walking distance. The hotel seems to be bit aged, but well maintained.

Overall, typical Kempinski experience, though not the best one. Staff servicea up to standard. Location wise, not the best as not in the main shopping belt area and nearby food or attractions not as extensive. Requires metro services with change of lines to get to main districts of attractions. Another area of improvement is the breakfast. Breakfast selection is standard, but no enforcement of dining policy. We saw many people coming in with hotel slippers which should not have been allowed.

We had a great stay at the Shangri-La hotel in Chengdu. The hotel’s location is great! Initially, our room was located next to the elevators which was a bit noisy. However, it was no problem at all to change the room. The breakfast was also fantastic. The only downside was that they were not able to provide some gluten-free bread.

Stayed at the Temple House in a Studio 90 room. The room exceeded my expectations: it had a refrigerator, including one empty one, a dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, and washing machine. It even had a kitchen island. Furnishings and bedding were comfortable and there was ample storage space. The controls in the room for the lights and drapes were well designed, allowing me to quickly be able to turn the lights on and off without having to fiddle with too many light switches. The hotel gym was surprisingly well outfitted for a hotel gym, even including a Smith machine. Hotel staff were always around and happy to direct me where I needed to go. I’ve never experienced an attendant draping a towel over me when leaving the pool, but experienced it here. The spa is beautiful and the service was excellent. The prices for spa treatments compared favorable to spas in other similar hotels in other cities. The breakfast buffet was not large but the selection was decent and the quality of the buffet was good. I only wished the room service selection was larger, though room service was generally speedy and tasted very good. The hotel location was excellent.

Super location, right in the middle of WenShuYuan area. Full of restaurants, shops, bars and local street food stands. Very nice neighbourhood to experience Chengdu lifestyle. Hotel itself provides an unique experience, peaceful and cozy enviroment with original ancient Chinese yard artitechture. Plus point: hotel location is good plus hotel is located at top floors of a building so the view of downtown Chengdu and the river was fantastic. Negative points: Toilet flushing system is extremely bad designed. A single flush would cause the whole toilet to vibrate. We could even hear the next room's toilet vibrating.

We had a great time in Chengdu and our stay at minyoun hotel helped make all the difference. It is quite a luxurious hotel with the reception on the 33rd floor and rooms even higher up meaning that all rooms came with an unobstructed view of the city skyline. Location was also great being within walking distance ~7-10mins to taikooli (shopping area) and lankwaifong (bar/club area). It was also only 100/200meters away from a metro station which we honestly didn’t use, as taxis were all only 10-20rmb (~€2) Finally the staff were excellent and particularly helpful at every request. Special shoutout to the 2 girls (apologies if we have the names wrong but Chris and Joy?), and Stefan Hu who took the time to suggest all the best places to visit around Chengdu - helping us add the locations to our maps and gifting us a tourist information notebook and panda! We really enjoyed our stay at minyoun hotel and would highly recommend staying here. The staff brought our stay to another level, thank you ⭐️
