Allegro Hotel

It is a huge pleasure for me to send this email. We chose Allegro hotel when planing a trip to Ljubljana for a special family occasion. We loved the deco and the location was perfect. As we were a group of 8 adults traveling we emailed the hotel to request accomodation to suit all 8. The response was so helpful and received prompt correspondence reassuring that we would all be accommodated. On arrival at the hotel we were welcomed by Thomas who offered us complimentary drinks of our choice while he checked us all 8 into 4 different rooms. It was Thomas first day at the reception but he was efficient and friendly. Every morning Sara met us at breakfast with a smile and offering a warm breakfast. She was extremely helpful in arranging a stunning birthday cake for us which arrived at the Hotel on the day. It was delicious!! Thank you Sara! Through out our stay Joel was very helpful in making bookings for us for dinner in lovely restaurants, advice and inform about the city and sites. Nothing was too much for Joel and he made our stay so enjoyable. Our flights were cancelled for 24 hours and again all 8 of us were accommodated at the hotel without any inconvenience on short notice. The rooms are warm, clean, large and comfortable. We loved the deco and the location but it was all the friendly staff at this hotel who made our stay memorable.

What great hotel!! I have just returned to UK after spending an extended weekend at Allegro. It is in a fantastic location and the staff are so very much welcoming. Indeed, when my flight back to UK was cancelled, the staff were very understanding and helped me throughout the process of securing the room for another night, booking taxis etc and finding things to do for that extra day. A thank you should go to Luka for helping me arrange arrival transport but a special thank you to Joel and Sarah who were great hosts over the weekend. The room was spacious and the breakfast is plentiful. I am usually very critical in my reviews but I really cannot find anything I would improve. Very highly recommended.

Feels like a nice boutique hotel. Very eloquent interior design. Great location Breakfast is limited but good quality. Staff a nice and friendly Room was small and tight as it had ceiling eves but it was clean and comfortable. Overall I would go back there, as it was nice and comfortable. Value for cost a little high for £106 a night.

This is a quaint hotel with lots of character. It’s old but it’s in the historic part so of course. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The breakfast was good and accompanied my gluten allergy. Just off the river lots of restaurants and shops. Parking is only 8 minute walk but there is a shuttle. No elevator so need to walk up stairs but they helped me with the luggage 😃

Lovely hotel on the edge of the traffic free old town. Comfortable room, friendly staff and a great breakfast. Easy walking via the traffic free area to the main sites.

We were traveling with our family and had booked the big room, which is the only one on the ground level. The room was excellent and we had direct access to the courtyard where we spent time during the evenings. We would often meet other guest in the courtyard and have nice conversations with them. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect! It is very easy to get everywhere but it is still quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of good restaurants and shops nearby, along with parks and tourist attractions. But the best thing about the place are the people. We met some of the most likeable characters here and had some of the most authentic and meaningful conversations about what Slovenia is all about, what kind of people live in Slovenia and generally what is everyday life like in Slovenia. The only reason I cannot give full score to this place is the coffee. The coffee machine was very slow and did not provide anything like an americano or something suitable for nordic people. We Finns need our morning coffee! Me and my family highly recommend this place for anyone who is traveling in Ljubljana or Slovenia!

The staff was amazing. The manager walked me down to a bus stop to make sure I would be in the right place to meet the airport shuttle! The location is perfect, right in the center of the old town. Many restaurants and shops a few steps away.

Fabulous location- in old town, close to parking, quiet, great staff. Family of 4 stayed comfortably!

This is a great little boutique hotel right in the centre of the pedestrianised area of Ljubljana so the location couldn’t be better. We arrived as a group of cyclists for the Maraton Franja race and the staff were all so unbelievably helpful and friendly and happily helped out with all our slightly quirky cycling needs. Such a great team and the hotel was kept very neat and tidy. Would strongly recommend not only visiting Ljubljana and Slovenia but this hotel in particular for a real great experience.
