AMAZING! The food, the staff, the location, the hotel. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. The staff went above and beyond to make this a memorial trip for my husband’s birthday. Even surprised him with decorations and a cake at breakfast. The food at the hotel was some of the best I have had while in Colombia. The staff were all so nice and accommodating. The location is a round the corner from the action, quiet, but still close enough to it all. The hotel was clean and beautiful. I can’t express enough how great the stay was here. The pool is spacious and on the rooftop. Our flight left at 3am and the staff arranged for our cab to be there at checkout at 1:30 am. I felt completely safe during the stay. I have no complaints and will definitely stay here again. You will not be disappointed staying here. BOOK IT :)

Excellent small boutique hotel. Very well located and services staff amazing. Always willing to help, friendly and respectful. Drinks at the pool very nice at sundown as well as breakfast Definitely repeating on our next trip to Cartagena.

Fabulous boutique hotel in the walled city of Cartagena. Service by the staff was exceptional from the minute we entered and were greeted by Fabio. Hotel was updated, clean and our room was well adorned and spacious. Staff- Fabio, Harold and Alan went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. Breakfast was also wonderful with many choices. We also used the cozy roof top pool and had drinks at the bar. Our first time in Cartagena and I would highly recommend staying at this property. Staff made my birthday trip with my husband one to remember. We loved the boutique hotel experience.

This hotel was beautiful. We were on the 1st floor close to the street, my only complaint was early more or really late night noise from the street. Not really the hotel's issue. The staff was very friendly. Most everything is within walking distance. The breakfast was included and good. The rooms are fairly large and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was at Hotel La Casa Gobernador. The room was elegant and beautifully appointed. The bathroom and amenities were 5-star. The bed was super comfortable and the room size was splendid. All of that, and the most wonderful part of the friendliness, the attentiveness, and the assistance of all the staff members. They treated us as if we were the most important guests and I am sure they treated the other guest the same way. We have stayed at the "big name" hotels in Cartagena, and this boutique hotel outshines them all. We will be returning and we are already recommending this hotel to our friends here in Colombia and in the US.

Fabio,Harold,Nicolas,LizMar,Sujee and several more that I cannot remember made our experience extraordinary. We especially loved Fabio. He was available for us and did more than we deserved. It was difficult to come back home. Our room was clean, the air conditioning was nice and strong and everything felt luxurious. It was the highlight of our Cartagena trip.

Hotel Casa Del Gobernador is a spectacular, boutique hotel with 12 luxurious rooms near all the best restaurants and historic sites in the walled city of Cartagena, Colombia. While it is near everything, it is quiet once you pass through the front gate and enjoy the welcoming courtyard and rooftop pool. You can sleep soundly without disturbing noise from the nearby night-life. We loved the personal attention and guidance we received from Antonio at the front desk, we savored the various breakfasts offered each morning, and relaxed on the rooftop pool with a drink from the bar at the end of each day. Both Antonio and Jocelyn made great suggestions for dining and late night drinks in the old city. The building was once the colonial governor’s mansion and it was recently completely renovated and modernized with an elevator and three story waterfall in the restful courtyard. This place is well worth the splurge for an elegant stay in Cartagena.

Excellent propriety and beautiful. I give 4 star in condition only due the elevator was not working. But the personal is so nice . Very friendly and cooperative.
