First impression one gets of the hotel is the lobby which is very dark and depressing. It felt like the freight entrance. Second impression, I had to pay in full for my two night stay upon check-in. To me, that's not a very good sign. So, now I'm wondering if I've made mistake. I was looking to stay somewhere convenient but inexpensive as it was just me and I'm not particularly fussy. To the hotel's credit, my room was immaculate and recently updated. I was very pleased with this and expected a restful night's sleep. There was a tv, a coffee maker, a fairly large mini-fridge, and a clock radio along with the usual hotel room furnishings of a dresser, desk, desk chair, armchair, nightstand, etc. The towels were plentiful and thick enough for me and soap and shampoo were provided. However, there are powerful floodlights mounted to the exterior wall above my room's (Room 310) window that poured so much light into my room I thought it was daytime. In fact, it was 1 a.m. I only slept in short, miserable spurts after that. At any time during the night one could easily think he had overslept and a blazing mid-morning sun was shining outside. I could not risk another night without sleep so, despite having paid for a second night, I packed up and left the next day. Is it possible that those lights could be turned off past midnight or could heavy blackout curtains THAT REACH THE FLOOR be added to those room under those lights? I cannot be the only one who has brought this to your attention.

The location is relatively good. There was also a convenience store nearby. I'm happy with my life. Although we stayed for consecutive nights, it was disappointing that there was no cleaning at all after the first night.

As with most things we do this booking was last minute so we didn’t do the research beforehand. That being said we were pleasantly surprised. Deyli at the front desk was extremely accommodating. She checked us in early to a room with a partial river view. When we asked her if she could move us to a room with a more strait on view she didn’t hesitate. She really did everything she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. When we asked for extra towels and coffee it was there in less than 5 min. All this during one of the areas busiest weekends. Plus your no more than 15 minutes away from anything you’re going to do. We had a great time and will definitely be back next year. Hotel breakfast is awesome for the United States, the hotel has a car park and costs 30 knives per day. The hotel is not far from Harvard and MIT and is within a half hour walk. Boston Park is about 40 minutes walk, there is a sightseeing station along the way, you can travel to the city by car. The Boston Outlets are less than 5 kilometers from the hotel for temporary shopping.

I arrived early and they were able to find me a room that was available which was very nice. As a Globalist they offered a 4 pm checkout and free breakfast. Got a nice room facing the Charles River. A pleasant stay and very convenient to MIT. Also nice that they now have a shuttle that will take you to Kendall, Central or Harvard Square.

The hotel is general, but because it is located near Boston, the price is higher than the average hotel. We booked a suite that allowed four people to stay. As a result, when we checked in, we were given a big bed room for a maximum of 2 people. I immediately contacted Ctrip customer service to reflect this problem. Because this leads to 2 people living in no place. While contacting Ctrip, I made a reservation with the hotel on the spot. Fortunately, the hotel did not have a full room on that day, and there was room available for us to stay. We have 2 suites and we need to add 2 rooms on site. After negotiating with Ctrip, this additional booking fee will be borne by Ctrip. I have booked a lot of rooms in Ctrip, and it is rare to see Ctrip acknowledging its fault, which is praised by Ctrip.

The short version is I enjoyed my stay and it was like staying in an upscale version of an Aloft hotel. The long version starts here: I came up and stayed for 5 days for Tufts graduation weekend in May 2022. Staff was friendly upon check-in. I tried to do check-in via the Marriott App and was successful to an extent. While I was able to use the App to open my room door, you need an actual room key from the front desk to use the elevators, gym and pool area. So just using the Marriott App was unsuccessful and abandoned. I was assigned a room on the 4th floor. The room is self is modern in appearance and was very clean upon arrival. There was a small fridge along with coffee and tea maker available. There wasn’t a lot of drawer cabinet space available (2 drawers) but there were a sufficient amount of surface area, plus the room had a 2nd bed that I wasn’t using that I could just put my clothes on. In addition to power outlets there are USB ports available both by the desk and in between the beds where you can recharge your devices. Coffee, tea and water were free and always available by the front desk. The Wifi at the hotel was complimentary and had good download and upload speed. There were also 2 complementary iMacs in the lobby to use. Parking at the hotel is $25 a night, the breakfast buffet was an additional $20, and there is no daily house keeping service. That being said, there are small signs hat you can leave on your door if you need additional towels or just stop by the front desk to get additional anything for the room. Just for informational purposes, across the street is the Alewife Reservation DCR parking with 8-10 parking spaces where you can park for free for 2 hours when exploring the Alewife Reservation “AREA”. About a 9 minute walk from the hotel is the Alewife T Station where overnight parking is $9 M-F and $3 overnight on the Weekends. The room will be serviced by housekeeping on the 4th day of your stay. As I mentioned, my plan had me there for 5 days. While the room was serviced on the 4th day of my stay. I think it would have been more efficient for housekeep to service the room at the midpoint go my stay (day 3) rather then the day before my departure (day 4). I also mentioned that the breakfast buffet was an additional $20. That being said, they sometime offer a complementary breakfast buffet in the restaurant. I’d guess your chances are 1 in 30 maybe. There would be a sign outside the restaurant if that is the case. It happened to be on my 2nd day there, and I thought the breakfast at the hotel was very good (while yes it was also free that day). There were freshly baked goods as well as 2 different types of baked omelets, cereal, eggs, yogurts, and various beverages. Fast check in and out, clean facility, conveniently located near train station to get into and out of Boston. Choice of 3 restaurants with excellent choice of food and drink, all moderately priced. Free breakfast bar included with stay with good hot and cold food choices.

I would be remiss if I didn't send a note to say THANK YOU for the hospitality I received while staying at the Homewood Suites Boston/Cambridge-Arlington, MA. This was my longest work trip since before the Pandemic and although it was all work and no play the Assistant Hotel and Guest Services Manager, Luis, and ALL of the front desk agents; Angel and Brandon in engineering; housekeeping; and the kitchen staff were SO pleasant and accommodating to make me feel at home I had to send a note expressing my appreciation. The cleanliness of the property, hallway greetings and smiles from staff, etc., confirmed I made the right choice in choosing the Homewood Suites Boston/Cambridge-Arlington, MA for this extended work stay. Having been a former employee of the Hilton chain while in college, it is Awesome to see the Excellence of the Hilton brand I loved working for continues to live up to the quality of the Hilton standards. Again, thank you and I look forward to visiting this location again for vacation.

The location of the hotel is very good and relatively safe. It is not far from MIT and Harvard. There are supermarkets and many restaurants around. The attitude of the hotel service staff is very good, the sanitation is also very clean, and the room is soundproof. The room facilities are relatively simple, which is the domestic three-star level. There is only a small closet to store some things, and there are no designed closets in the very spacious corridor.
