The location is dead centre cairns city, the 4 bed dorm is good for a group. The kitchen on level 4 is lovely, although some other quests do not clean up after themselves. The pool is lovely & you can get discounts on food and drink in the bar. The the aircon in the room cannot be controlled, we had to sleep in hoodies because it was so cold in the room. There is then NO aircon in the communal areas, making it incredibly uncomfortable to cook or relax. There is not clothes horse for drying clothes. The music that plays every night until 3am can we heard in every room in the hostel! One of the bar waitresses was very rude, pass-remarkable, made personal comments (weight/clothing) and poorly mannered in general.

The room was clean and quiet. It also had a nice view where you could see the sea and the rainforest.Service was good , and it was easy to call a taxi ,you just need to press a taxi bottom in the lobby and taxi would come to the hotel within 5 to 15 minutes .This was really cool!

Warm reception and clean room The warm cookies at the reception was a nice surprise. Room with balcony overlooking the sea and swimming pool was nice. The cafe has decent variety of food with a lot of other options available close by as well. The fish pond lights up at night to give a nice visual treat after dark.

Service: good Hygiene: OK. I don’t know if it’s because there’s some candy left on the table. There are a lot of ants crawling everywhere. Environment: The scenery is not as beautiful as expected Facilities: The swimming pool is not deep enough to swim in, but it is quite clean.

We recently spent two nights at the Pacific Hotel Cairns and found it to be good value, well located and clean. The room was modern and the beds really comfortable. The only downside was the view onto the parking lot but we didn't book to enjoy the view from the room so that was fine. Also have a nice buffet breakfast at a reasonable price. We look forward to going back again soon.

The location of the hotel is right next to the pier. It takes about 2 minutes to walk to the ticket exchange hall and about 3 minutes to the pier. It is located in the middle of Shangri-La and the Hilton Hotel. The location is particularly good. Hotel service is also very good, sanitation is cleaned every day, but the toilet does not have a water strip, you can get a lot of water as soon as you take a bath. The kitchen utensils in the room are all available to cook by yourself. Not far from the supermarket, we didn't order breakfast. There is a sofa in the living room, but it can also be occupied.

Hotel location is good, there is a water park opposite. It's not too far to walk to the city center. There is a charge for parking, and residents are unavoidable. It is okay to go in and out for 13 Australian dollars a day.

Good but aging hotel, about 20 minutes easy walk to the harbour. Super comfortable and wide bed, very good breakfast. We were completely satisfied. Due to high humidity, you can't get your bathing suits dry on the balcony, even clothes in the suitcase got a bit of moisture - but it's not the hotel's fault.

I could have given 5 stars but didn’t because I requested to give me extra 1 hour check out time but they declined. They just didn’t care at all those people on the front desk. I won’t come back there are plenty hotels in the vicinity, a little walk is good exercise; plus the night market is on the other side anyway.

This is definitely a place that is orientated more towards families rather than couples. What was good was the friendly staff throughout the resort, the food and beverage service and the convenient underground parking. Stayed in a deluxe king room on the fifth floor overlooking Cairns city which appears to have been recently upgraded. Room smelt damp on entry and after the first shower it was evident why. It is hard to believe that someone designed the shower so that water flowed directly onto the floor and out into the living area even when you had the least amount of water flow possible. Wee bit of a design flaw I would suggest. Also, when booking a King size bed it would be a good idea to ask guests if they want a second bed in the room along with connecting rooms. I personally have no wish to have connecting rooms unless I am staying as a family. This door along with the front door were not particularly well sealed and you could here plenty of noise from outside and next door. The balcony is marketed as being intimate in yet has one chair and being a connecting room has nothing between you and your neighbours balcony. Hardly intimate. Based on the reviews I am sure this place is perfect for families however, there are better choices for couples elsewhere in Cairns.
