The lifts to the seven floors are the slowest I have ever encountered. The hotel car parking spaces, when available, are very, very, very tight and only good drivers can access the spaces.

Very clean and spacious hotel. The staff were super friendly. The bar and restaurant is open late until midnight, they have a snack shop. The breakfast was nice also the hotel is spacious and beautiful. I would defenitly go back if staying in Reims. It's not located directly at the city center though, but at least it's quiet. They have a parking place for those coming by car. I recommend it

The hotel is conveniently located next to the Reims train station, but reaching it was more challenging than expected. You need to exit the station through a specific platform exit that’s not easy to find, as there is little to no signage. We took the wrong exit, which added an extra 15 minutes to our walk to the hotel. Upon arrival, we were quite surprised by the reception—or rather, the lack of a traditional one. It consists of just a small coffee table with a single computer, where one staff member manages both check-ins and check-outs while constantly running back and forth to assist guests. Initially, I thought this was just a secondary station and that a more formal reception area existed elsewhere, but that wasn't the case. I couldn’t understand how one staff member could handle all the guests with such limited resources, especially during busy periods. I suspect it could easily become chaotic during peak hours. The room itself was quite small, and breakfast was not included in the rate. However, the hotel had an interesting offer: if we opted not to have housekeeping during our stay, they provided two complimentary glasses of champagne. We were happy with this arrangement, as we usually prefer not to have anyone enter our room during a short stay. We did enjoy our two glasses of champagne at the bar after dinner, which was a nice touch. That said, with no breakfast included, there might be better value options available in the area. It's also worth noting that finding a place for breakfast near the hotel wasn’t easy, with limited options within a 5-minute walk.

Fabulous spot right next to the cathedral so beautiful & definitely recommend a balcony room facing out to the cathedral. Loved this quirky hotel which was once a fire station very modern but with touches of old features towards its former use. The staff went above and beyond to make are break perfect (to booking a restaurant for us to valet parking and just being friendly and helpful)We sipped champagne at the front of the hotel restaurant outside with a back drop of the cathedral. Must just mention the delicious breakfast too.

Отличный отель, удобное расположение и чистые номера. Иногда слышно соседей за стенкой, но тут как повезёт с соседями. Единственный вопрос к подушкам, очень странные, больше похожи на 2 блина.

For those who want to be in the center of Reims it is perfectly located. However be aware that you will be in the middle where it's happening, and you will hear the noise through the window. Staff are friendly. Room was ok, it was a quite old and small but clean. The choice for breakfast was limited, make sure you go before 8am otherwise you will have limited choice.

Check-in at Hôtel des Arcades was easy, and the staff were helpful, friendly and very welcoming, which made a good first impression. The room itself was fine, although it was warm. However, the bathroom was disappointing. Taking a shower felt a little like being in a caravan, with the curtain touching the toilet, and once the shower had been used the toilet area was wet. The door also did not close properly. Overall, the hotel could definitely do with some TLC. Given its location in such a great city, a few thoughtful touches, such as photographs or local artwork on the walls, would really help give the place more character and make it feel more connected to its surroundings.

Starting with the good things, the price is good, location is excellent literally 20 m from the main area, the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful, it has onsite parking, and despite obvious limitations the room was clean. However the hotel is very tired and needs some major investment in regards to maintenance to bring it up to a decent standard, our room was small which wasn’t a problem but things like locks missing screws, the toilet push not fitted right, paintwork scuffed and chipped etc really let the place down. Unfortunately what didn’t help was a drunken guest trying to kick a door in at midnight added to the poor review, I realise that the hotel can’t select its guests but I suppose if you book a budget hotel you may get budget clientele
