An excellent stay on Shengshan Island. Before we even arrived, the owner already contacted us on WeChat with information about our stay and gave us very comprehensive tips for our stay. The hotel is very conveniently located, next to the boat port, the main entry onto Shengshan, and it is just across it. The owner was waiting for us when we arrived off the boat and helped us get our luggage. They have a very convenient luggage lift which means that you don't have to lug anything up the stairs. The hotel feels clean, luxurious, comfy and homely at the same time. It is a family run hotel and the reception is very warm. Our room was very clean and everything that was needed was provided. The view was spectacular from our room (image provided). The bed was very comfy and the lounger was perfect for watching the sea within the comfort of your room. The pool downstairs is great to cool off after a day out exploring. The breakfast provided was very nice and simple, some youtiao (Chinese fried dough, similar to churros), soy milk and sweet and savoury buns. All in all an excellent experience, and we thank the hosts for everything.

The room was not only beautiful but also incredibly functional, providing all the conveniences one could desire. Breakfast at Yicheng was a culinary delight. The seafood noodle soup, a local specialty, was a standout dish – fresh, flavorful, and a perfect start to the day. Shengshan is definitely not an easy place to get to, but staying at Woqu honestly made it so worth it! It’s very guesthouse style, so hosts have a full menu that they can cook for you if you don’t want to go into town for the restaurants. They were all so warm and welcoming, even though my Chinese isn’t very good. Even though they had a larger group of 21 staying at the same time as me, they still checked in on me to make sure that I was comfortable and that I could still have my privacy. They also offered me the number of a driver who was very readily available to take me wherever I wanted. The room was beautiful, with a wonderful view of the ocean. It would be really romantic for a couples’ getaway. I hope that more people come to Shengshan and Gouqi, even for just a day, just so they can experience some of the island-style warmth and hospitality that Woqu had to offer. Thank you again for a wonderful getaway!

房間面朝大海，我們的在拐角剛好 對着小海灣，看着對面的山，風景絕美，房間硬件顯示老闆的用心，全自動調控，就是按鍵太多，要研究還一陣子。我最喜歡的是這家民宿的餐廳，梭子蟹炒年糕連吃兩天，老闆會根據我們的需要，向漁船購買相應的海鮮。味道是花錢也在城裡吃不到的。民宿裏東崖絕壁僅5分鐘步行，建議凌晨花這個門票錢看中國第一縷陽光，其他時間就不要去了。無人村應該在5-8月比較好，我們國慶期間去，很多綠植已經敗了，沒那麼好看。去嵊山島主要去吃海鮮，不要比價格，越好的東西越貴。

I had an incredible experience during my stay! The amazing ocean view was truly breathtaking and made every moment unforgettable. The staff were incredibly nice, cooperative, and always ready to help, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. The location was absolutely perfect (be ready to climb some stairs 😄) and adding to the overall charm. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to return!

I visited Gouqi Shengshan and Sijiao Island many years ago. The natural scenery is beautiful, but the accommodation conditions are average. This time I was pleasantly surprised to find a good resort hotel. After arriving on the island, the design of the hotel is consistent with the photos. It is modern and simple, with a Santorini style. It was a very comfortable stay and the restaurant in the hotel tasted good, so I could enjoy a leisurely vacation without leaving home, watching the sea and eating seafood in the hotel. Will stay here next time.

One of our best stays in China! This place was absolutely amazing. The ladies running it are hilarious and always made us laugh. First of all - the rooms are really good for the price. We got upgraded to a much better room after our first night, free of charge. It’s also conveniently located next to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, while still being a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle. The food here is really good too - the (included) breakfast as well as what you can buy for lunch/dinner is really fresh. Because of the language barrier they tried to accommodate by providing more “western style” breakfasts for us, but when we realized and asked about it they made us a second breakfast that was like the one everyone else got. They also helped us out with a driver to take us to the abandoned village, and booked our tickets back to Shanghai. Also, the aircon here is FAST and reliable which we’ve realized isn’t a given after a few weeks in China. So that’s another (small yet important) plus for sure! Usually I like to explore different places and stay at different accommodations if/when I revisit places, but I’d probably make an exception and stay here again if I ever come back to visit the island!

酒店位置很好，距離東海漁村僅百米，鬧中取靜的好地點。車子可以開到門口，門口屋後有停車場非常方便。第一次來住在了半山其他酒店，出行要麼叫車要麼要下來幾百米台階，如果有長者孩子的實在不方便。 全部海景房，躺在床上既可以觀海～早餐晚餐我們都選擇在室外，美景配美食～房間對比其他酒店要大很多，房間和床鋪都非常乾燥完全沒異味沒有水氣，對海邊的房子來説太難的。我們住的衞生間有窗户，也同樣乾燥沒有異味，裝修風格簡潔大方，沐浴液用的資生堂（老闆娘是有要求的）～ 早餐如圖～已滿足我們需求 晚餐如圖～老闆娘親自下廚，我們多次對比在外用餐，還是老闆娘的晚餐性價比之王了，因此後續都是晚餐回來吃😂～邊晚餐邊欣賞夕陽下的海山船～ 老闆非常有責任心，確認訂單後會幫助確認定船票（不是每家都會給你電話確認你的船票），對於不是常常上島的遊人來説太貼心了。我們8月第一次上島訂了其他酒店沒人聯繫我們，我們想當然的想碼頭現場買車票船票，到碼頭現場才知道需要提前5天預訂車子肯定沒法上島，還好車上帶了一個行李箱當場裝了車上東西停車乘船。這家老闆會提醒我們預訂來回船票，如有困難也會幫助預訂～如此貼心，此次10.1當然毫無猶豫的再次選擇“極宿”～
