Hotel Nikko Kaohsiung was the perfect hotel for us in Kaohsiung. It's in a quiet location in the Asia New Bay Area, a few minutes' walk to 2 light rail stations (C7-Software Technology Park and C8-Kaohsiung Exhibition Center) and 1 Metro Red Line station (R8-Sanduo Shopping District). There's a 7-11 and Family Mart directly in front of it for any drink, snack, or toiletry needs. An MWD outlet is also close by for a good breakfast, if you don't want to spend on the breakfast buffet every morning. Room service dining is available and reasonably priced, though the options are limited. Both the check-in and check-out processes went very smoothly. We arrived a few hours before check-in, but the reception staff let us go through the check-in process and leave our bags. When we returned from exploring the neighborhood, we simply collected our keys from reception and found our bags waiting for us in our room. The lap pool area was quite relaxing to hang out at. The only thing missing is a milk tea shop around the corner.

Excellent hotel! The rooms are spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. The soundproofing was decent. The breakfast was fantastic – you can choose from a menu, plus there's a buffet, and they even have Haagen-Dazs ice cream. They also provide complimentary drinks and snacks in the room, which was a very thoughtful touch.

The Hotel is located in the convenience transportation Location. Easy for traveling to other areas, close to the hotel also having fast food and convenience store. The hotel itself is clean you can leave the luggage before your check in. I like the common area next to the reception. It's nice and having snack and drink for Hotel guest. Quite impressive. If Having a chance will come back again.

Facilities of hotel near top niche conditions, probably due to recent renovation or opening. Room is spacious for two. Services of front desk are helpful. Even took time trying to help our cell phone connection issues. Breakfast, although vegetarian only, is tasty and offered a wide variety of choices. Disappointed is about the noises caused by unruly neigbouring guests late at night.

O Airline Inn fica em frente à estação Kaohsiung, com transporte público acessível para toda a cidade e cidades adjacentes. Artisticamente decorada e ergonomicamente projetada, nossa sala possui lavabo separado de um grande showroom e banheiro. USBs e interruptores de luz estão convenientemente localizados em uma luz noturna bem planejada. Travesseiros e lençóis são novos e de alta qualidade. O design do quarto oferece vários balcões para guardar bagagens, diferentemente da maioria dos outros hotéis. O café da manhã é típico dos chineses que amamos, mas talvez não seja para os ocidentais. O único problema que tivemos foi o pequeno caos e o desvio em frente à dupla do hotel para a construção da passarela e a construção da estação de Kaohsiung. Depois de concluído, o hotel teria uma classificação sólida de 4 estrelas. Independentemente disso, o Airline Inn é uma ótima escolha para os viajantes de Kaohsiung.

Hotel Just Sleep Kaoshiung is conveniently located between Kaoshiung Main Station and Formosa Boulevard Station. It is also within walking distance to convenience stores and Liuhe Night Market. As for the hotel room, we booked a family room. The room is very spacious for a family of four and our 3 large luggage bags. Plenty of walking spaces too.👍👍 The service is awesome and the reception is warm. Although the aircon for our original room was not working despite the hotel’s attempt to fix it, the staff offered us another room and even allowed us to try out the air con before confirming the room. That really saved us else we would have to suffer due to poor ventilation for the 3 nights’ stays. 👍👍👏👏 As for the hotel wifi, it does not work well. Probably the hotel wants us to just sleep at night and not to surf the internet. Hahaha…. 😁😉 The hotel also offers free usage of the washing machines located at 3rd floor. However the heater is charged at NTD 10 per 10 minutes. Oh a thing to note is that the pillows are too soft to our liking. It is difficult to sleep with it although the mattresses are really firm. 😆😆 din sleep well though. And for our room that faced the main street, it could be noisy in the morning. We could hear the traffic. As for breakfast, the hotel serves it from 6.30am to 10.00am. We booked our room with breakfast, however, we didn’t really get to enjoy the breakfast as we woke up late. So it is really up to individual to decide if they would want to include breakfast in their hotel package. Overall, it is really a decent hotel with friendly staffs who are always ready to offer their service. 🎉🎉👍👍👌👌

We had a great time at the Riverside Hotel! Even though we got there late, the staff was really nice and helped us check in quickly, so we could get some sleep before leaving early the next morning. What stood out the most was how friendly and helpful everyone was. Plus, we were pleasantly surprised by the shuttle service that took us to and from the airport. It made our trip so much easier and more comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

Everything was good during my stay in this hotel. The lighting of the room was a bit too dim for me, but it wasn't a problem during the day as there was plenty of sunlight from the window. What I like about is that they put a coffee table and an armchair by the window, making it quite enjoyable to do some reading during the day. The location is a okay, around 10-15 minutes walk from the closest MRT station. The way to the station was clear and had a variety of local shops to explore.

The location is great. The rooms are rather too small, at first I was placed in one that didn't have a window but I asked to be moved to one that had a window, luckily my request was met. Not recommended for an extended stay. Also, the staff at reception aren't friendly with internationals/black foreigners from my experience though they speak English. Only one guy tries to be engaging when you ask for help but the others frown and express irritation. The toilets and showers are clean but the kitchen surfaces are sometimes not kept clean.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel and actually preferred our Kaohsiung stay here compared to our time in Taipei. Check-in and check-out were fast and efficient—maybe an East Asian thing where they get straight to the point—but the staff were still warm enough to make us feel welcome. The location is very convenient, just an 8-minute walk to Kaohsiung Main Station, which made getting around the city much easier. Although the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, it wasn’t a problem since we stayed on the 3rd floor and the stairs weren’t steep enough to feel exhausting. Our room was clean, and I really appreciate that there were no bed bugs (something I heard can be an issue in some Taiwan hotels, so we made sure to check the mattress and beddings). Happy to report this one is safe. We loved having a bathtub, and the provided shampoo and body wash smelled so good that showering felt like a treat every time. The air-conditioning was also well-maintained—we didn’t experience any problems adjusting the room temperature. Facilities-wise, there isn’t much to explore since it’s a small hotel, but that was fine with us since we spent most of our time outside. During our stay, Typhoon Podul forced us indoors for a whole day, but the hotel’s sturdy structure made us feel safe. The water dispenser on the 2nd floor was also a lifesaver—something I think guests would really appreciate if ever stranded. If I had to give some comments: the toilet can get a bit cloggy at times, so be mindful—it takes a while to flush down. They will let you borrow a plunger though so no worries. Also, the hallways had a faint smell of cigarettes, which I suppose is to be expected as smoking is still quite embedded in Chinese influenced culture. All in all, a reliable place to stay in Kaohsiung.
