Looking to have a relaxing night away from the kids

This place has no security cameras, drug dealers hanging in the hallways no security guard or staff. House keeper doesn't really clean the rooms. Have to run to the front lobby for everything. Wifi drove me nuts. Constantly disconnected, poor signal, and everyday i had to relog into three different devices. Name room number email. Every. Day. They want 2$ a day for better wifi, and upgrading does absolutely nothing but burn your money. Even this web page took 10-20 seconds to load, YouTube videos forget it. Side area no designated smoke area, butts all over the ground. Someone lit the leaves on fire, by accident. The rooms are nice thwougb, spacious clean, quiet and modern. Tv sucks. But i usually dont watch tv. I watch YouTube and other streaming services, and use the internet to do work. Impossible here. Front desk staff are really nice and accommodating. Big refrigerator! Normal fridges not those small ones.

I made the mistake of booking this hotel for my entire family & bridal party. Everything they told us was a lie. This place looks like the motel that my friends & I used to have hotel parties at when I was a teenager. The furniture was scratched, old, & looks like it came from a garage sale. Every room had an odor, things were broken in each room, everybody was having issues.The worst part of all of this is that there was construction at the hotel. My now husband & I had driven down Jericho turnpike a few weeks prior to our wedding. I noticed a construction site in front of the hotel. We called asked if this was affecting the property in any way shape or form. We were reassured that there was no construction on the property at all . When we arrived, the parking lot was dirt, rocks, caution tape everywhere. No pavement. The big beautiful tree in the front of the hotel is ripped out & there’s temporary construction fencing, rocks, dirt & caution tape right in front. I had guests dressed for a formal wedding in heels gowns suits&tuxedos tracking through this.They also told us that hot breakfast was serve every day. Which is half true. When I asked if it was just package foods like muffins & granola bars they said “no it’s fresh made to order food that can be either delivered to the room ,picked up or eaten in the lobby.” Breakfast was basically like Jimmy Dean style egg sandwich wrap and placed in heater & microwavable pancakes. The lobby is a joke. Maybe eight people can sit comfortably to eat, And that’s being generous. I will say, they had juice water coffee, a very nice tea selection available 24/7. We were also told the the hotel provides shuttle service to any stores or destinations within five miles of the property, as well as pick ups and drop offs to the train station. Nope. Not one employee knew anything about this. Apparently, it is an imaginary shuttle. So there’s that. Although The girls at the hotel are very sweet, everyone was full of excuses as to why service was slow, etc. My mother-in-law and Aunt were splitting the cost of the room. When they went to pay, The guy at the front desk told them that they could not split it on two separate cards because his system didn’t work that way. Really? As a bride, i was hysterically crying on my wedding day absolutely mortified. We had guests from all over the country at the is place. I’ve never been so embarrassed in my entire life. This is The Worst Place Ever

Hilton garden Inn Melville has an amazing package that every hotel should have for brides to get ready the morning of their wedding! Rosemarie the sales manager provided information in their “Beauty and Bubbles” package that includes champagne, a light breakfast, makeup chairs and mirrors a long table for your makeup and hair stylist and then extra seating to enjoy breakfast- all put together in a clean and modern conference room ! The price for the room and amenities are very fair. Rosemarie answered all of the questions leading up to the day and made herself available the morning of, there was an attendant there if needed and other staff made It known they were available ! There is a bathroom right next door to the room to use to change if needed. Not to mention the hotel is spotless with a beautiful outdoor area with fire pits that we enjoyed the night before during our stay, a bar, snack stand, pool and immaculate guest rooms. Overall 10-10. The hotel was amazing even though it’s a local hotel I’m definitely going back just for an overnight staycation because of the clean and modern amenities. Our visit was 9/8-9/12/2021. We arrived after 10pm sign on door read -MASK REQUIRED_ AWESOME... and were warmly greeted and quickly checked in by the 2nd shift front desk employee. The hotel lobby was small but clean. We proceeded to our room on the 1st floor. The room was very clean, the bathroom clean and stocked well with towels, soap, etc. The furniture was in great condition. the room had 2 double beds and 3 pillows on each bed. Everything was pretty good up to this point. Then I sat on the bed.. I thought I was sitting on a table! The mattresses are HARD! If you like a hard mattress great but if not you had a few nights of little sleep like I did. The housekeeping staff did good job and were always friendly. We appreciated the decent rate as other places in the area were at $200+ a night. If you want more luxury be prepared to pay it with another hotel brand. All in all ... I would return because of the reasonable rates and put up with a lack of decent sleep due to a hard mattress. The Econo lodge served its purpose for a decent price. The location was great. Close to my friends/family, parkways, restaurants, shopping mall, and great Long Island diners.

I'm not sure if these reviews that I'm reading, the guests stayed at the same property that I did. My stay was nothing but pure awesomeness.It began with my Administrative Assistant having the anxiety task of booking my room and she knows exactly what I like and how precise I am about where I put my head to rest. I had her change 3 different reservations that were previously booked and I finally decided on the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Republic Airport Long Island/Farmingdale.
