Let me start off by saying: if you are looking for a nice area for walking and cycling, this hotel may be worth it. The surrounding woods are quite nice. Other than that, don't expect much. As others have already mentioned, it's not a typical hotel but more of an outdated holiday resort. It's not even close to being worth 4 stars. There are two rooms per building, using the same main entrance, and you have to pay extra if you want the ground level room - which is apparently also the only one with a kettle and coffee machine. The stairs to the first-floor hotel room are quite steep and not accessible to everyone. The vibe it gave was 'sleeping over in your 70-year-old uncle/grandpa's attic'. The rooms are very old-fashioned, with no clock, an old radio you can't plug in because of the lack of outlets, and a bit of a musty smell. The 'two-person bed' is just two single beds pushed together, so if you want to be intimate with your partner or just sleep close together you will most definitely end up in the gap in between. The beds don't sleep great, either. There is no airconditioning so it gets quite hot in the summer with no way of cooling down, and the wifi is not too stable. There is also some mould in the shower, as well as rust, and the window in the bathroom does not open. The toilet sometimes refused to flush properly. Breakfast was standard, don't expect any vegan options except for bread and peanut butter. You are allowed to take some stuff for lunch, though, which is nice. There is no fridge in your room however, so keeping things cool is not an option. Also bring your own cutlery, plate & cup if you plan on buying breakfast/lunch at a local supermarket, because the room only comes with two plastic-lined paper cups. There is only one vegetarian main course on the restaurant menu, but the chef was very kind and made the vegetarian lunch options dinner-sized for us. Vegan would definitely be impossible, though. The restaurant and pool are also not that easily accessible for people in a wheelchair or with a walking impairment. Definitely get some sort of voucher or discount deal, otherwise the prices are way too high for what you get. You're not allowed to order food from Thuisbezorgd etc. The pool is... well, it's not much. It's small but barely anyone goes for a swim there, so chances are you will have it all to yourself. Bring something like a diving game or a ball if you want to have anything fun to do. The showers don't really work and half of them only have cold water. There is a tennis court but it will cost about 12 euros per hour to use it, and the 'sports fields' that are on the map they give you have become overgrown and cannot be used. You're not allowed to park your bike next to/close to your building but there is an old shed-like building in which you can store your bike. The room was clean and comfortable, and some of the things that seem to be that there are signs of parts that need maintenance. This is how you see damage to doors and board plums, which have been painted, but it is not really, and was not disturbing for me. Staff is nice and attentive. Overall a great hotel in my opinion

Whilst our meeting was in Apeldoorne, our hosts suggested staying in Deventer as it was apparently a nicer town. This was true, it was a beautiful town with this hotel being a 5-10 minute walk from the train station. Externally it looked lovely, as did the reception area and staircase. The room however did seem to be stuck in the mid-80's with not the most pleasant desk furnishings and two twin mattresses stuck together. In saying that, other colleagues in our party had much more recently modernised rooms from all accounts, but this review is based on my own room. Twin beds were pushed together but separated whilst trying to sleep on them which was quite annoying. The bathroom was fine although it wasn't the cleanest - clean enough but little things like small spots of mould on the silicone and very discoloured grouting are things I notice as I spend a lot of time in hotels! They also only left me about 10 sheets of loo-paper but they did replenish this the following day. Staff were very helpful, polite and spoke perfect English. Breakfast was fine and what would be expected - the toaster actually worked quite well (for once, many dont). Overall it was a pleasant stay and maybe if I had a more modern room it would have been 4 stars.

We had a renovated deluxe room, that might explain some differences with other people's experiences. And were positively surprised, except for the dinner restaurant ( see separate review). Actually this renovated room was real 4 stars, and better than our average Fletcher hotel experience. Twice as large as the standard room for 50% extra price, basically a mini-suite. Separate sitting area with desk and sofa, bathroom with separate tub and shower (all a bit crammed) and in the other half of the room a separate WC. Nice bed, balcony, good WiFi. Pool was surprisingly good and big for a hotel, also free sauna. Decent breakfast, more 3 than 4 stars in variety; and a bit slow in refills. The estate grounds are already very nicely landscaped but the walks in the nearby Veluwezoom reserve are stunning. The room had a small drawbacks though: no hooks etc. to put the towels, and nice shower gel and shampoo supplied but absolutely nothing in terms of soap, neither liquid or concrete. We did not complain, otherwise probably they would have fixed that.

Well priced hotel with everything you need for short stay. Breakfast included, rooms clean and well presented. We were extremely lucky with our manager (Teo) who could not do enough to make our stay so memorable. This hotel is no designed for a long romantic stay but excellent if you want a clean, well priced hotel with good access the Deventer.

Door de reviews van anderen kozen wij last minute dit hotel. Het eerste contact met de receptie aldaar was zeer vriendelijk. Bij aankomst bleek echter dat de eerste kamer die wij toegewezen kregen recent was gebruikt , er stond nog een hoog- laag bed en een passieve lift. Dit maakte een zeer slechte eerste indruk. Vervolgens kregen wij een andere kamer toe gewezen , overigens van een uiterst vriendelijke receptioniste. In de t****e kamer bleek het beddengoed niet te zijn verschoond , dit was ronduit vies. De derde kamer was schoon, in ieder geval voor het oog. Maar eigenlijk stond het hotel ons op dat moment al zeer tegen. Wij moesten heel vroeg weg de volgende ochtend. Er stonden 2 tasjes klaar met ontbijt, heel lief maar ook erg sober. Alles bij elkaar geen goede indruk van dit hotel qua schoonmaak, bedden, organisatie en ontbijt. Wel een heel goede indruk van het personeel.

As I stayed there the second time, I was again confirmed that this is a really good hotel for professional buf also leisure stays. The spacious room with a balcony, the kind and supportive staff, the breakfast with a big variety of food as well as the comfortable lounge area incl. terace, all this makes it worthy to stay there. In addition, the bikes are easy to rent for a good price, so that any kind of flexibility is offered. I will certainly come again.

The room is not very large, the facilities are relatively new, the decoration is more individual, and the parking lot is large and free. It seems that many business people stay here, there is an office area on the first floor, and they have to pay for it. McDonald's 200 meters opposite the hotel. The water from the bathroom faucet can be drunk directly.

We were in Arnhem from 25 th to 31st of August to drop our daughter into Arnhem business school - we stayed here during the time. It’s private and cozy and very friendly staff with a small resturant serving nice food and drinks right next to the hotel. Staff helped us getting taxis and also refunded the 3 day money when we decided to check out earlier. A few things that were not upto mark : the duplex studio was very nicely designed but was too small with very steep stairs ( if you have knee issues or someone who is travelling with a LB elderly Check this part beforehand ) Being an apartment and not a hotel there is not reception or round the clock service. Another important point is there is no UBER in Arnhem and getting a taxi to go around is a far more difficult task than one is used to in cities.
