The Hôtel Frisia is an excellent hotel in a great location, directly opposite the marina and a five-minute walk from a range of restaurants. Our room had a good-sized balcony, large bathroom, and plenty of wardrobe space. We also had very comfortable twin beds. However, the best thing about the hotel is the friendly and helpful staff, especially Hans-Peter for whom nothing is too much trouble. However, we understand that the hotel has recently been bought by Russians, who will close it for refurbishment at the end of the 2023 season, we believe with the intention to upgrade it to 4 stars. I can only hope that when it reopens it will retain its current charm and still be in our price range - unfortunately I doubt either wish will come true.

We had booked this hotel for a concert. Excellent choice : close to the stadium , close to the tram to go to the center before the concert , close to the convenience (broadcake , bank etc) parking (free)is a real more The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. My partner and I stayed here for a couple nights during my interrailing trip. The location of this hotel is perfect. It is a 2 min walk to the train station and about a 5 min walk to the beach. There are also lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and had great customer service! We arrived early but was able to check our bags in and headed out. Again, when we arrived back to the hotel late at night the male night reception was super friendly! Great customer service! However, on checkout the lady at reception was very rude. We overheard her ask for 40 cent more from the couple in front of us as the hotel had charged them wrong. And then without even saying hello she stated that we owe money. We had paid in full on arrival so was confused and asked why. She stated that the gentleman who checked us in had not calculated it right and that we owed €2. As this had happened to the people in front of us as well we felt it was wrong of them to be asking every customer for the extra money if it was the hotel at fault. She became very abrupt and said “will you not pay it then”. Obviously we weren’t bothered about the €2 but it was the way we were being spoken to considering it was the hotel at fault. Perhaps staff training in customer service is needed for this individual as well as training in basic numerical skills. Overall, I don’t want to leave a terrible review as it was only that one lady who treated us very badly and was very rude. All the other staff were amazing and went above and beyond! So yes I would recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a cheap stay in Cannes with the perfect location! Just disappointed in the bad ending!

Everything is perfect. Good area, beautiful huge territory, nice room, good swimming pool. And two nice rabbits. Hope they are fine, because a lot of kids bothered them. Thank you for hospitality.

I'm sorry to say that I found this hotel quite disappointing and we didn't feel that we received good value for our AUD $2600 per night. The staff were very good. Particularly the pool attendant and the bartender, but we just found the overall experience lack lustre. The pool area is ordinary and the beach set up is not very glamerous, just some sunbeds and an attendent in a tent with a cooler box. We ate at Jasmin three times and despite the good service, we found the food very, very ordinary. I acknowledge the other compliments on this page, but I just don't agree. We kept going back because we thought we got an off day, but the food was consistently poor. Similarly we found the breakfast buffet of a very poor standard. The location is wonderful and there is plenty to explore nearby on foot.
