The receptionist is lovely, provides good, fast service. Overall, I really like it. The room is clean. Next time will stay here again.

This hotel is not a 4 star hotel… !!!!!!!!!!!at most a 2.5 and no more…. First night power in the room failed… 2 hours later moved to another room 11 pm at night….. , no help with our luggage…… next morning power cut for an hour….. paid for 3 breakfasts… returned the breakfast tokens to reception…… breakfast not fit for purpose, asked the waiter for hot milk, NO was the answer…..cold coffee…. White stale bread, stone cold eggs…… no cereal!!! The best way of travel to this hotel was by water taxis… 5 minute walk from the ferry….. Wi-Fi good as was the hot shower…. However the showers are very dated, would never stay here again….. very unusual forThai nationals but we were not greeted at all in the friendly way at reception, unsmiling and unhelpful … so staff not friendly at all!

I liked Metropoint Hotel in Bangkok very much!
Maybe I was lucky because upon check-in (when I asked for a quiet room) they changed my actual Standard room to an upgrade to a Deluxe room on the 6th floor. So I don't know what the Standard rooms are like in terms of size and quietness.
My room was really big and clean.
All what I needed was there: AC, a hot shower, free drinking water, towels, a kettle with cups (so I could make my own coffee in the morning!). Bathroom is simple (like 3 star hotel) but OK.
It's possible to buy a breakfast buffet - coupon at the reception. Very cheap, only 100 baht per person. But I was not so hungry, otherwise I would have loved to try it.
I was doubtful about the location (far from the city and expensive to get to the center of Bangkok by MRT etc).
But 5 minutes walking from the hotel is a boat-pier called Wat Klang, and in 30 minutes the boat drops you off at Pratunam pier (right next to CentralWorld Mall) in Central Bangkok for only 20 baht.
That was also a huge relief.
Thanks to the kind receptionist for early check in and upgrading my room.
It was very nice to stay at Metropoint Bangkok!
