The hotel is old and starting to show its age, bed fine, internet is dreadful, having to keep logging on, very frustrating, TV keeps freezing can only assume it’s the same internet issues, price for B&B &190 so not cheap, asker about the lounge now I’m here and told its €40 per day, breakfast rate here is €25 per day, with the lounge access you can get breakfast, so asked if I could credit my breakfast and book the lounge to be told no, basically everything is set to extract money from you, good member for some time, also an IHG member with top status, would save you money and book the Crowne plaza for half the price, location is next to very old mall with a lot of cheap items. The escalators to take you down do not work, escalators up or working, think they are trying to save money. I’ve stayed at a number of hotels in Ankara and not the best, but guess it good for the American standard of hotel.

This hotel is ideal for anyone coming to Ankara looking to stay in a comfortable and modern hotel that is located in a good part of the city and close to many attractions, recreational avenues and restaurants as well as walking distance from a vibrant part of Ankara known as Kızılay. The entire staff is very friendly and ready to assist throughout the day. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxed and the rooms are quite spacious and tastefully decorated. My biggest concern whenever I travel is the cleanliness of the room and the rooms in this hotel are definitely very clean and the standard seems to be consistently maintained. They also have Starbucks available in the hotel which is another plus point for days when you just want to grab some coffee and don’t want to go too far. The breakfast buffet is pretty good with a mix of Turkish delicacies and other continental items. The service is fast and everyone is very attentive as well. They have a great seating section spread over 2 floors and even a small space outside for the cooler months which is great. The hotel is located in the Embassy district so if you’re coming to Ankara for any official work or to apply for visas, it’s advisable to stay near the embassy in case you need to go back and forth for documents or any printing/photocopying services which the hotel is also able to assist with. I think all the major embassies situated in Ankara are within 7-15 minutes away from the hotel. Holiday Inn hotels are always good value for money and this one certainly is worth your time and money if you want affordable luxury accommodation in the capital city! Would definitely recommend it to all types of travelers going to Ankara in the near future

The facilities, rooms, and the morning breakfast were wonderful. This is a nice place for business traveller's, unfortunately this NOT a great place for families. Throughout our stay, the staff made us feel incredibly unwelcome in this place, as if we were much lower on the scale of importance than their business / government official guests. Whether we were in the lobby, visiting the pool, using the stairs, etc my wife and I were asked repeatedly if we just came off the street and whether we were really guests at the hotel. One or two times is fine, but after 8-10 times you begin to feel a bit unwelcome. The workers at the pool looked like they had never seen children before in their facility. One worker tried to tell us that our older children can only use the toddler pool, and that the normal pool was only for adults! When our family of 5 asked for pool towels they gave us 2-3 towels. When we asked for more towels later they took 5 minutes to call their boss and count out our previously used towels, while our children stood their shivering in the cold. They eventually gave us the towels but we were told that the reason for the delay was because we don't want to do extra laundry! 🤔 Overall, families coming for a relaxing holiday clearly doesn't fit into their normal demographic of clients. And the staff seemed to go out of their way to find direct or indirect ways of communicating this. NOT recommended for families with children!

My recent hotel experiences in Ankara all proved to be very negative despite all being famous hotels. Therefore, I had doubts about Lugal as well when my assistant recommended this hotel for my business trip. But though I stayed only 1 night, my experience was perfect. I stayed in a spacious and very comfortable room where all amenities I might need were available. The check-in process, not in a conventional reception area though, was very swift too. This hotel made me feel special from the moment I entered it though they had not offered anything different than the rest but the overall feeling was very satisfactory. Lugal will be the hotel I will choose every time I go to Ankara as long as they preserve this level of service.

Business trips, customer recommendations, good location, surrounding restaurants, banks, parks, etc. are very convenient. The variety of breakfast is not particularly large, as the Chinese may not be particularly used.

This is the hotel to stay in this area, and actually if you don't mind riding the subway (nearest subway station is couple of minutes away by taxi), this is one of the best places to stay in Ankara. Large rooms, cleaned daily. Very customer friendly and always smiling staff. Delicious and rich open buffet breakfast included in the room price. Lunch and dinner are also provided at the hotel restaurant, if you prefer to eat there. For those who want to shop or window shopping, Podium Shopping Mall is next to it. We did not use its SPA, pool or gym but I have read good reviews about them too. Certainly this will be our choice hotel when we visit Ankara again. There is a very steep slope up to the front desk of this hotel, and it gets blocked when there are too many cars. It is rare to turn on the TV once, and there are programs in various languages. The hotel's breakfast buffet is okay, but it's too wasteful for me. It's basically milk and fruit

Front, upper rooms offer fantastic view. All personnel was very kind, respectful and friendly, especially Anil, in the restaurant. He did always exceed my expectations... Hotel is located next to a mall in a busy business location. I would come back.

The hotel recommended by Ankara customers, the location is very good, very close to the customer company, but a bit far from the airport. The hotel environment is good, the room is quite big, overall it is not bad.
