It was fun to open the door of the room and enter the pool. Eating is beautiful, free playground, finding a seatlong in the middle pool was hard. Skies are beautiful, there are always empty seatlongs in the sea. Opening is dangerous because of sea shelter, crowd and water sports.
The hotel is not new, but it is very successfully located. One night stay is quite. And so, the desire to stay in it still did not cause absolutely. Everything is irregular. Somewhere dust even on the wipe.
The facilities are very good, but I didn't expect to be a bit remote. On the edge of a small town, the shopping mall behind has not yet opened, and there is a cash machine next to it, which is very convenient. Of course, if you are close to customers on business, you can choose. The local meal is very cheap, but the current location is a bit too desolate.
The staff are GREAT, everything else is terrible. This hotel is one of the worse hotels we have stayed in, in a very longtime. It is OLD and very TIERED. The rooms were clean but felt dirty because everything was so old, the bathroom was from the 1950's, just horrible. The A/C did not work in the whole building, only the heat, we had to sleep with open balcony doors. The elevators are also very old and tiered, this whole building needs a serious renovation, or better yet, complete demolition and rebuild. There was no interior parking either, so guest cars stay in the all star sky parking. A hotel NEVER to stay at ever again.
I've stayed at this Marriott twice for business and it is the best hotel in Ankara. It's location is really nice across from teh UE Embassy and centrally located with easy access to most business and shopping. It has a complimentary garage below with easy in/out priviliges. The lobby area is massive, and very impressive. The staff are highly trained, courteous and helpful. The lobby bar serves any drink you can imagine and there is alsa a very nice steak restaurant at the entrance which also serves breakfast and lunch. The roof top bar is incredible with nice views of Ankara skyline and bands playing on the weekends (you will need reservations on the weekends). The rooms are well appointed with great views (see picture) and anything you need during your stay. The rooms are cleaned daily and come with both a soak in bathtub and a shower. The drink prices are comparable to what you would expect to spend in comparable hotels in Europe and the US. There is strict security at the entrance to the hotel which some might find it a bit too much, but I did not mind as it is safer than any hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff is really amazing fluent in English and Turkish (and maybe other languages). I really do not understand why this hotel can be less than 5 stars for its classification. It is the best Marriott I stayed in and I travel for work in the US and some in Europe.
The facilities, rooms, and the morning breakfast were wonderful. This is a nice place for business traveller's, unfortunately this NOT a great place for families. Throughout our stay, the staff made us feel incredibly unwelcome in this place, as if we were much lower on the scale of importance than their business / government official guests. Whether we were in the lobby, visiting the pool, using the stairs, etc my wife and I were asked repeatedly if we just came off the street and whether we were really guests at the hotel. One or two times is fine, but after 8-10 times you begin to feel a bit unwelcome. The workers at the pool looked like they had never seen children before in their facility. One worker tried to tell us that our older children can only use the toddler pool, and that the normal pool was only for adults! When our family of 5 asked for pool towels they gave us 2-3 towels. When we asked for more towels later they took 5 minutes to call their boss and count out our previously used towels, while our children stood their shivering in the cold. They eventually gave us the towels but we were told that the reason for the delay was because we don't want to do extra laundry! 🤔 Overall, families coming for a relaxing holiday clearly doesn't fit into their normal demographic of clients. And the staff seemed to go out of their way to find direct or indirect ways of communicating this. NOT recommended for families with children!
Very Good

Outstanding
GGuest UserLocated on the hillslope in the south of Kizlay, for walking it is not easy to reach. The room is very clean but there's no lid of the dust bin in the bathroom, so if we throw used paper from toilet it will be stinking. Shower gels and shampoo had very strong mint smell and not comfortable before sleep. Breakfast is average and there's no juice and only cold and hot water with tea bags are available, had only very small portion of meat and no sausage, no omlet but only boiled egg. The most negative part was that the Internet was so slow and even some foreign websites were not accessible at all. Overall it is not bad but there's much to improve and not competitive with other hotels in Ankara.
DDURAN85Divan Hotel in Ankara offers a unique blend of history and modern luxury, having been meticulously restored and transformed from an old horse market into a sophisticated hotel. Perched on a hill right in front of the iconic Ankara Fortress, the hotel is conveniently close to the city center yet enjoys a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle. The rooms and decor exude historical elegance, providing a luxurious retreat for guests. The staff are both professional and friendly, ensuring a warm and welcoming stay, while the housekeeping is impeccable. Special thank to the front office staff who even offered and arranged our taxi back to the train station on the departure. Traveling from Istanbul to Ankara by high-speed train, we found ourselves in a completely different environment, moving from the tourist-filled streets of Istanbul to the serene and historically rich ambiance of the capital. We will definitely go back to stay in the hotel in the future.
The location is very close to the center and everywhere. The rooms are very clean, luxurious and spacious. Even though it was an economy room, we felt at home. We didn't use it, but the kitchen utensils were very sufficient. The open buffet breakfast was ideal. The staff was friendly and attentive. If we come to Ankara again, we will definitely stay at this hotel again. thanks for everything.
GGuest UserThe hotel is new, clean and simple. The reception is fluent in English and helpful on supporting your needs. It’s really value for money.
However, there are several areas worth mentioning:
- location: there is no metro station nearby. You gotta take taxi or buses to get there
- staircase: there are some rooms that can only be accessed through staircase(ard 6-10steps) after taking lift. You have to carry your luggage up through those stairscase
- bathroom design: the hardware used are high quality one but the design are not friendly enough. The bathroom is separated into showering, toilet and basin area. There is no space for putting cloth or towel in the showering area. You have to get out naked to get those things in the basin area, which is connected to the bedroom without door. One more minor recommendation is that a few more rack would make the basin area more user friendly.
The hotel is charming. There is a really nice Scottish pub inside the hotel itself (Old Harpist). Average breakfast. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to many eateries and pubs in Tunali. The rooms are pretty small. The bedding is good. However, the walls are not soundproof and thus if you wish to have a restful sleep it may go wrong in case you happen to have a noisy neighbor in a close by room. This is the reason why we moved to a different hotel in the area after two nights. Otherwise it's value for money.
LlotgaaI stayed at the hotel for a night. It is close to the Red Square, perfect. Many restaurants and cafes are at the distance. The rooms are very clean, the room has a kettle and tea/cafe bonus. The workers are very interested and kind. There is everything to think about at breakfast. They have prepared like a open buffet but those working in the body's protection are serving themselves. Rooms are a little small and bottom-up but if you stay a few days and you don't spend a lot of time in the room, it's definitely an ideal choice. Thank you very much for everything.
GGuest UserI have visited the hotel for a business meeting and I got very pleasant surprised by it and its staff. The people in the hotel and the staff at the reception were very supportive and helped me with some urgent issues that appeared at the time of my stay. I am very satisfied and would love to come back if I have the chance.
GGuest UserI stayed in your hotel with my wife on May 24, 2024 nights as a bed cleaning, breakfast, a perfect hotel location, no need to comment no car park problem no ***eat since family hotel Thank you Thank you . I strongly advise the families to see the next time to see a clean environment ... hopefully you will always stay in this quality!
We stayed with my family to take a break during our holiday journey. We had some reservations at first, but we had a simply perfect stay. We had our breakfast in front of Anıtkabir, the rooms were nice, the staff were all polite, I would like to thank the hotel manager Mehmet and all his employees.
