We have never been in Ankara before -- and heard no stories about the capital of Türkiye from our friends. We came for an international symposium held at the Ankara University. Firstly, the University campus is a big park (almost forest!) in the very centre of the city -- and it is amazing! The entire city is full of parks, green squares, public gardens... Public transportation (buses, underground) is perfect and cheap. Some places worth visiting are: 1. Anitkabir -- a memorial complex and symbolic mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. On the hill, in the very centre of the city, easily accessible and very impressive. It is the main National Memorial Centre, where all the important ceremonies take place. Apart of this, there is a perfect viewpoint with impressive panorama of the entire city. Worth a visit! 2. Ankara Castle -- a nicely preserved fortress building with a magnificent panoramic view above the city. Worth a visit, however, needs an effort to climb to the fortress, but it worth any effort. 3. The Museum of Anatolian Civilizations -- a real must to visit! It is an archeological museum with an outstanding collection of artifacts, from the Stone era, through the Bronze, and so on -- till the medieval period. All the artifacts are maintained in a very good condition, accessible and perfectly displayed and illuminated. One of the best collections we have ever seen! Do not miss this unique museum. Warmest recommendation to come and spend 2 - 3 hours, at least. You can easily find a lot of information on the web about these -- and more -- places of interest in Ankara, so I am not adding any photos. Probably, those you will find are better than mine... Few words more: The hotel we stayed Altinel Ankara Hotel -- is warmly recommended! The airport of Ankara is well designed, spacious and cosy.

The breakfast is great, there are many tricks, and the omelette is the best. There is a gym and a swimming pool, the location is better, and the room size is comfortable. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide a wide view. It was a good stay experience. No matter how hot the pool water temperature is, it will be perfect. The swimming pool water temperature is slightly colder.

The staff are GREAT, everything else is terrible. This hotel is one of the worse hotels we have stayed in, in a very longtime. It is OLD and very TIERED. The rooms were clean but felt dirty because everything was so old, the bathroom was from the 1950's, just horrible. The A/C did not work in the whole building, only the heat, we had to sleep with open balcony doors. The elevators are also very old and tiered, this whole building needs a serious renovation, or better yet, complete demolition and rebuild. There was no interior parking either, so guest cars stay in the all star sky parking. A hotel NEVER to stay at ever again.

This by far was the best hotel stay for our Turkey trip. The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and the view was outstanding. This hotel is near most of Ankara's attractions, train and tax locations. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was amazing and beyond average. We forgot one of our valuable documents in the room and we called from Istanbul to locate it. The receptionist with the name Melike helped us find it and scanned it for us and emailed it. Malike thank you for your help, that document was important and you did outstanding job scanning and emailing it.

The room size is not small, the health is OK, but the bed is too narrow, barely sleep alone. The breakfast was too bad, there were cold bread and cucumber slices of tomato slices, it seemed that it was not hygienic enough and did not dare to eat. The location is very good, the attractions and the Bazaar are very close, 15 minutes walk from the 442 bus to the airport. Combined with the price, the price is good.

I stayed for three nights, and could not have been happier with the comfort of the room, the COVID-cleanliness and precautions they took, and - most of all - the service from the staff. I needed help with an international call and in booking a ferry after I left the hotel: they helped with both. And they didn't need to ... my international call didn't go through from the room (probably my goof), and they placed the call for me. When I had tried to book a ferry to Istanbul on a website that kept finalizing the transaction in Turkish, they helped me sort out the inputs. AND when my US credit cards were not accepted, they even booked using a corporate card, and added the expense/no surcharge, to my room. Finally, when I left my camera in cab after leaving the hotel, they worked with my (future) tour leader in identifying the cab, holding the camera for me, and mailing it to me forward on the trip. They didn't have to do any of this: I'd already left the hotel ... but they were excellent in helping me out. The location is good, per the other reviews, but what really makes them stand apart is how they genuinely take care of the hotel guests both in general property conditions as well as making the stay a comfortable one.

We stayed at the Hotel for 3 nights, the staff was friendly since the beginning. The room was spacious, clean and with good ventilation. It's has a good air-conditioner too and good shower and cozy bed The hotel was super quiet, and a good place to rest. It was near to old town center and also it was easy to get to metro, parks and you can get by walk to new downtown. I would recommend to stay here to avoid the craziness of the new downtown because there's to many people. Another good point it's that the hotel was near to many food places just around the corner. The staff also help us with no charge extra to keep our backpacks during our last day in town before we go to the Otogari. Thank you so much for your welcoming and good disposition.

Thanks to the Staff of the Hotel. My mom and I were there only a few hours. We made a stairway in Ankara to meet the city, because that same day afternoon-night we traveled to Capadocia. The Staff was super friendly. All of the staff. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. We were just bathing and resting a little. On July 2022, my wife and daughter stayed in the hotel for a night. We preferred that the price was reasonable and few tripadvisor comments were good. She paid our fee for breakfast at the entrance. The first thing that attracted us when we entered the room was that most of the material used was old. For example, the towels on the bathroom were originally white, but they had a grey stain. They said when I called the reception to find out how early the breakfast was before we go to bed, they said it would start at 9.00 and I said that it was too late for us to make service to your room at 8:30. The hotel has no breakfast room or is in vacation. When I called again, the staff member of the reception told me he could ask if he could return his breakfast fee and returned your breakfast fee when he left the hotel in the morning. Another thing I thought was the watering of the hand washing and shower jelly used in the bathroom, and the flow of water was the same as the other expression.
