This hotel was very overpriced. Aside from the modern style and decor of the hotel it was no different than any other. The first disappointment was that we booked thinking the hotel had an active restaurant and bar as the website nor trip.com website reported that they were closed for the time being. Those amenities were the main reasons we chose Aloft aside from location. Next, our hotel room was extremely small. Third, the ‘marketplace’ stock and options was laughable. And there was NO vending so it was the only option for snacks unless we drove to a convenience store. Also, the breakfast was seriously lacking in portion and flavor for the price we had to pay for it. Lastly, there is hardly ever a clerk at the desk… the first morning we wanted to order breakfast and get drinks from the marketplace and I literally had to call the hotel while standing at the desk to get the attention of the clerk. The second night, the friends that were with us couldn’t purchase snacks because the clerk was nowhere to be found. Furthermore, the bed in our room was hard as a rock which led to very poor quality of sleep. And we paid $275 for 2 nights for this?? We won’t be back to Aloft. Literally the only positive experience that we had was the water pressure in the shower. Also, housekeeping needs to do a better job in the common areas of the lobby… there’s literally cobwebs coming off of the bottom of the furniture and onto the floor and visible dust underneath. I used to manage a hotel and my over all experience with Aloft was much less than satisfactory. I wasn’t given a receipt at checkout either… not printed or emailed.
