Recomendo.

The location is great and convenient for transportation! The staff are very friendly and patient. Even though my English isn’t very good, they still answer my questions carefully. The room is clean and tidy, with fresh bedding. There’s no strange smell, and the facilities are complete—just unpack and move in. The shared kitchen is absolutely wonderful. The location is excellent, close to many attractions. The luggage storage service after check-out was a good experience.

The location seemed great at first, but it's actually not that close to the subway station. The surrounding area is full of food streets, and there isn't a convenient store nearby either. Perhaps because there are too many people staying here, it gets quite noisy in the mornings. I haven't encountered this situation in other capsule hotels.

Very close to Osaka Metro Doubutsumae station. Many shops and convenience store nearby as well. Room are okay, the only concern is the toilet are somehow broken. The public bathroom (onsen) is cool if you have no issue to be naked in public.

The hotel has a great location, just about a 10-minute walk to Shinsaibashi and a half-hour walk to Umeda. There are convenience stores nearby, and the hotel breakfast is also quite good. On the first floor, there’s a microwave and hot water, and the lounge area is perfect for eating instant noodles. The hotel has separate floors for men and women, and the washrooms are very clean. The shower room is considered above average in size for Japanese hotels, and the soundproofing is decent. The hotel offers a Western-style breakfast, which meets the needs, and it’s convenient since there aren’t many breakfast spots in Japan. The front desk is very friendly, and you can store your luggage before and after check-in. This hotel was quite satisfactory during my trip, and I would choose to stay here again next time!

This was not my first hostel experience, and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed.
Let’s start with the positive aspects first:
The location was absolutely perfect — I don’t think you could find a better place to stay in Namba. Everything was close by, and getting around was very easy.
Also, the staff were extremely, extremely friendly, and we received fresh towels every day, which I really appreciated.
Now, onto the things that bothered me:
First, the cleanliness: It wasn’t really clean. In the showers, there was always a lot of hair and dirt in the gaps where you enter and exit, which was quite unpleasant.
During my stay, someone vomited in the public sink area, and it was not cleaned up overnight — it was still there even at 10 a.m. the next morning. Because of that, the house smelled strongly of vomit for a while.
That night, and in general, there was often an unpleasant smell in the kitchen area as well.
Without wanting to discriminate, I noticed that many older people were staying at the hostel (since apparently there was no age restriction). Some of them would loudly clear their throats and spit phlegm into the sinks, even early in the morning, which was quite disturbing and unhygienic.
Another issue was the temperature: The room was extremely hot at night, and since so many people were sleeping in one room, the air became very stuffy. Even inside your capsule, it was uncomfortably warm.
One last point: On the day of arrival, the address on Trip.com was wrong, which made it very hard to find the hostel. It took me almost an hour and a half to find it, especially because it was very hidden with no clear signage outside.
I really hope that in the future, there will also be an age limit for guests.

GGuest User✨ Acro Capsule Hotel (Japan) 🇯🇵
My first time staying in a capsule hotel, and honestly, I was more impressed than I expected!
📍 Location: Amazing! It’s very close to Dotonbori—just a few minutes’ walk to food, shopping, and nightlife. Also near train stations, so getting around is super convenient.
🛏 Capsule Room: I thought it would be very small, but it’s actually more spacious than expected. I could stretch out comfortably. There’s decent privacy with a curtain, plus a power outlet and personal light.
🧼 Cleanliness: Highly rated! The bathrooms and showers are very clean. Amenities are provided, including towels and a hair dryer.
👩💼 Staff: Friendly, helpful, and able to communicate in English, which makes everything much easier.
👍 Pros:
- Great value for money, perfect for budget travelers
- Excellent central location
- Secure system with lockers for your belongings
⚠️ Cons:
- If you get an upper capsule, climbing up and down can be a bit inconvenient (though it’s slightly cheaper than the lower one)
- Some noise is unavoidable since it’s a shared space
- It can feel a bit warm or stuffy at times
💬 Overall: Perfect for solo travelers or anyone who wants to try the capsule hotel experience in Japan. If you don’t mind limited personal space, it’s definitely worth it!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel environment is actually very good, but this is the first time I've encountered something like this! Around midnight, the hotel alarm blared, and everyone rushed downstairs, barely dressed.
1. There was no one at the front desk, and I couldn't reach anyone by phone. Even Trip.com couldn't get through to them. Although there was no actual incident...
2. ...it was actually other guests who called the fire department and security to investigate.
The entire process lasted 50 minutes. No staff member came out to explain or reassure us. We were completely without service, and guests had to sort things out among themselves.
Furthermore, there was no compensation or explanation given.

Amazing
RRowell SantiagoI recently stayed at Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi during my trip to Osaka, and I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and quality packed into this compact, capsule-style accommodation.
One of the biggest highlights of my stay was the toilet and bathroom area — exceptionally clean, modern, and cozy. Despite being a shared facility, everything was spotless and well-maintained at all times. The design was sleek, and the space felt more like a boutique hotel than a budget capsule. The toilets are equipped with Japan’s signature high-tech bidet functions, and the overall cleanliness really exceeded my expectations. Even the subtle lighting and warm wood tones added to the relaxing feel every time I used the bathroom.
The rest of the hotel was equally impressive. The capsules were comfortable, quiet, and felt more private than I expected. The lounge area was a nice place to relax or do a bit of planning for the day. Plus, the location is perfect — just a short walk from Shinsaibashi shopping street and a quick train ride to most Osaka hotspots.
If you’re looking for a well-designed, clean, and cozy place to stay in Osaka, I highly recommend Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi. Especially if you value hygiene and comfort in shared facilities, this hotel delivers above and beyond.

PPattern TraderI stayed for 1 night due to an early morning flight. The rate is a bit expensive for just a bed, but the hotel is very close to Terminal 1, which makes it extremely convenient. The toilet and shower areas are clean and well maintained. Overall, I’m satisfied with my stay.
GGuest UserI had a really great time here at Casa G.S.
Everything was way beyond my expectations.
In terms of location, it took me only 5 mins on foot to reach Osakako train station, Chuo Line. With your luggage, you may chose to walk up stairs or take an elevator to and down the train station. You can also visit the nearby shopping mall (Tempozan Market Place) which is located near a beautiful bay, Osaka Aquarium Kaiyuka, and a big ferris wheel. A local bus stop is around 3 minutes away.
Tax-free shops, Japanese restaurants, convenience stores (Lawson, 7-11, Family Mart) can easily be reached in the area.
For room condition, fortunately I believe the place has been renovated for less than one year, so everything is very nice and clean. I stayed with my parents for 4 nights. The beds were hygienic and comfortable which was a plus to when you were exhausted after long walking days. It has all the necessities you can ever think of such as refrigerator, power socket, adapter, air-con, wet wipes and amenities.
The check-in/out, door-lock, and entry systems require no staff or any unlocking devices/tools to pass which were very convenient and secure.
An elevator is in place. This is crucial!
The lobby has a luggage storage area (free of charge) and a pantry where you can borrow or use necessary kitchenware.
Its bathroom may not be that spacious, but very clean and good enough for a short stay.
For those considering this place and making decisions, I do highly recommend with this reasonable price offered.
คนไทยที่กำลังตัดสินใจอยู่ บอกเลยที่นี่นอนสบายมากครับ เตียงนุ่ม สะดวกและคุ้มค่ามากครับ ประทับใจสุดๆ
GGuest UserThis hostel was my favorite during this trip, and I only wish I could've stayed longer than two nights! The rooms use a password lock system, which changes regularly. Each room accommodates nine people and has two toilets and one shower, which is a sufficient amount. I didn't take photos inside the room, so I can only share pictures of the surroundings near the hostel. Compared to Namba, Tennoji is much quieter and cleaner, and the transportation is very convenient. It felt like a lot of the guests were long-term residents, and everyone was very well-behaved.
AAmanzhol YestekovLocals don’t usually come here to sleep — they come to wash, relax, and go through the full spa ritual.
There are three types of steam rooms, a circular shower, and three baths:
two hot ones at around 41°C, and one cold shock bath at around 11°C.
You dip in and instantly feel alive.
One unique feature — every hour they run a group steam ritual, like a collective massage & heat therapy session. Very Japanese, and surprisingly affordable. Definitely worth trying.
There’s also an inexpensive breakfast option, plus vending machines with food and drinks right inside — very convenient.
Overall, it’s a men-only vibe: arrive, clean up, relax, reset, and go about your day.
The capsule is just a bonus on top of the sauna experience.
They give you clothing — not a robe, but loose Japanese pants and an oversized T-shirt.
You get your own locker, bedding and clothes are changed daily, and the bathrooms have literally everything: toothbrush, toothpaste, gels, shampoo… even nail clippers. You don’t need to bring anything.
Location is fantastic — right next to Dotonbori. Step outside and you’re instantly in the heart of Osaka’s nightlife and energy.
Downsides?
A strict checkout — you must leave at 10:00 AM, and check-in starts only after 3:00 PM.
If you want to stay during that gap, it’s around 300 yen per hour, or ~900 yen for the day.
Still — great experience. I always wanted to try a real Japanese capsule stay.
Inside the capsule there’s a TV, radio, adjustable lights, and AC — though it blasts pretty strongly, so I turned it off.
GGuest UserTHE GOOD PART: The hostel meets all the requirements, it's close to the food court, it's clean, the bathroom is clean too (people respect the rules), and you can leave your luggage afterward!
THE BAD: is that talking to customer service is like talking to nobody! From the moment I made the reservation, I requested the bottom bunk because I have serious meniscus problems, something they never read. I sent them a message the day before arriving to confirm my request, and they said I could have it because it was in the order of reservations! I asked if I could change it the next day, and they still refused! I really didn't like that at all.
