There are pros and cons to staying here! Pros: The hotel itself is lovely, with polite staff and a clean, spacious, atmospheric room offering mountain views. The public onsen is included in the price and is quite pleasant, especially if you're lucky enough to have it to yourself, as we did (we went in the morning). The hotel also has vending machines for drinks and snacks, which is very convenient since there are no stores nearby. You can arrange to have your luggage sent to the station so you don't have to carry it yourself, but unfortunately, we missed the 10 AM deadline to book this service. Cons: Unfortunately, these left a strong impression. The hotel is located in a terribly inconvenient and remote area, really out in the sticks and difficult to access. It's far from all the attractions you travel to see – we had to take a boat to get to them – and far from any establishments where you'd want to find food. Not only are these places far away, but they also close early, open late, are overpriced, and the food isn't even tasty. We couldn't call a taxi to the accommodation because you needed to link a local phone number! We initially walked with our suitcases along the road, then took a bus. The buses didn't accept our Hakone pass, a card we specifically bought for Hakone, even though buses were supposed to be included. And the price without the card was clearly inflated – 300 yen to travel uphill for 8 minutes. Since we had another individual onsen booked elsewhere (a 20-minute drive away), after that at 9 PM, we realized the buses had stopped running. There was no chance of calling or hailing a taxi, so we had to walk back to the hotel. This meant a two-hour walk along a dark mountain road, surrounded by forest, with only occasional streetlights. We tried to hitchhike, but no one stopped, not even taxis. After an hour of walking uphill (our emotions were indescribable), about the 10th car, if not more, finally stopped, and a young Japanese couple gave us a ride back to the hotel. Overall, the hotel itself is good (it was also cold at night, we used the air conditioning to warm up, but the room was large and difficult to heat; thankfully, there were extra large blankets). However, everything else regarding the location was terrible. If you plan to stay here, make sure to plan your transportation in advance.

It's my pleasure to stay here. And everything's very nice and cute. You have your single room in here. Even the bathroom and toilet sharing. And it's very nice to talk with the staff here, they're really cute and nice. And they would be really willing to give you some recommendations for Yokohama city. And this time I forgot to bring my charger and I borrowed the charger from them as well. Oh, you also can ask them to take a cute photo for you. I just personally really like those things. And remember to check their birthday book up, that's really nice to see each day the different birthdays descriptions. I'll be looking forward to staying there again if I visit Yokohama.

This guesthouse was incredibly cozy and felt just like home. At check-in, they carefully explained everything I needed to know. I stayed in the women's-only dormitory room, which I believe was a 6-person room with three bunk beds. I had the bottom bunk. There were no locks, but there were sturdy curtains for privacy. Even though it was a cold day, the room was warm, and having a light above the bed made for a comfortable stay. Everyone seemed to be considerate and kept quiet. Eating and drinking weren't allowed on the bed, but it wasn't an issue as the ground floor had a cozy cafe (pictured) where you could relax freely. I read a bit in bed and then slept soundly. When I mentioned at check-out that I was visiting Enoshima, they told me about taking a boat, which made my trip much more enjoyable than planned. Luggage storage after check-out was also cheaper than using a locker, and I enjoyed the interaction. I'd love to stay here again if I get the chance. Shared rooms are very affordable and highly recommended for solo travelers.

☀️ When i first arrived, i thought i was at the wrong place - i‘ve never booked something so nice for myself before! 🪲PROS - chill 4 people bedrooms, with a comfy bed and a big personal shelf + locker and a fridge for the room - clean facilities and rooms - towel, toothpaste/toothpaste and yukata were provided as well as shampoo and showergel - the common room was so cozy and nice, with tea and water always at the ready and a great view of the garden - i was satisfied with both the dinner and breakfast and the price was fairly cheap (~1200¥ or a bit more, depending on your choices) - PRIVATE ONSEN that you can book for around 50minutes at night and can use in the morning if nobody else is already using it (costs around 150¥ per use) - there is a shuttle bus going at pretty regular times in the morning. They offer a ride to both Gora-Station or Hakone-Open-Air-Museum! 🩸CONS - far from the city-centre/train station 🌱 i really enjoyed my stay. I had cool roomies that became travel companions and absolutely loved the inn, the onsen, the food and the kind staff! Definitely a recommendation if you ever decide to stay in Hakone - i would book again!

Compared to the one in Ueno station, it can't compete. I had to spend an extra thousand japanese coins to store my luggage for 5 hours because they were very strict on the Check-in time at 3 PM. I've traveled around quite a bit and i've never had to spend extra money to store my bags in the hotel that I have already booked and paid to stay in for the night. To me, this was very inconvenient and a little strange.Considering this is the first time it ever happened to me. And I've traveled around many countries can't think of a single one.That wouldn't let me just store my bags in the behind the counter and then let me check in later. Everybody was very polite and nice and the guy would even use his translator to tell me about the company policy. I think this place must be pretty new.So the owner is running it by the book. Overall I still enjoyed it tho!

Chinatown is bustling and vibrant, even on a Saturday morning. The toast and coffee at the cafe next to the hostel were also great. One thing to be careful about: make sure to check the emails or messages from the hostel, as you need to inform them of your expected check-in time and gender before the day of your check-in. The hostel entrance is through the door next to the cafe I mentioned. You'll need to use the intercom by the door to tell them you're checking in, and they'll let you in. Then, take the stairs up to the second floor to complete your check-in. They'll go over various rules during check-in, which you should listen to carefully. For example, you need to make sure the main door is locked, take off your shoes before entering, and they'll give you the Wi-Fi password. You also get one free towel, and there's a penalty fee if you sit or lie on another guest's bed. It's best to be aware of all these rules.

The location was great, within walking distance from Shimbashi Station. The humidifier and air purifier were running, which was good, but it seems they couldn't completely block out the pollen, making my hay fever quite difficult. The bed, toilet, and shower were all clean and comfortable. I'd like to use this hotel again when I visit the Shimbashi area.

Was pretty small both in terms of the room and the facilities but the staff were lovely, had all the amenities you could need and a 5-10 min walk to the station. Really good value for money and was perfect for solo travellers.

This isn't a typical hotel with facilities or a lobby staff. There's just one polite Chinese-speaking lady downstairs who helps you check in and gives you the room key. She leaves later in the evening, so there's no staff assistance after that. However, the room itself was surprisingly clean, well-equipped with essential amenities, very new, and spotless. It was also quite spacious, the air conditioning worked well, and the Wi-Fi was excellent. If you're looking for a one-night stopover before heading to the airport or a nearby area, this place is great. It offers free parking and a convenient location, with a bus stop, convenience store, pharmacy, ramen shop, breakfast place, and izakaya all nearby. We even stumbled upon a fantastic izakaya run by a Hokkaido owner in the evening, serving delicious sashimi and small dishes – a pleasant surprise!

Great place to stay in Hakone! Just few walks away from the bus stop and town proper of Motohakone, where tourist attractions are located. Feels like home when you stay in this accommodation. I love the hot spring w/ overview of the suburb. Overall, great service, cleanliness, and comfy stay.
