Nestled in the middle of Grand Hirafu and Mt. Yotei (the Mt. Fuji of Hokkaido) mountains stands this quaint charming budget boutique hotel that provides both shared common rooms and private rooms to their guests. It is one of the most affordable and charming boutique budget hotel in Niseko that is conveniently located in Yamada intersection about 10 mins bus ride from JR Kutchan Station using Niseko express. The hotel also offers free pick-up from Hirafu Center or JR Kutchan station but you need to book a day in advance. The lobby is a bit spacious with the lounge and a lot of seating area greeting you. The cafe is just beside the lobby. Check-in and check-out are very fast and the staff speaks good English and provide you all the hotel rules. There is no elevator in the hotel so if you're in the 3F need to walk-up the stairs but the staff could also assist you. We booked a twin room that costs only 200 dollars overnight with a small single pane window with a view of the main road. The beds are single beds combined together but their comfortable and soft. The shower and toilet is just the right space but the water heating is very difficult to adjust specially the hot water by turning just a bit there is a huge difference. The toilet bowl's flush is also not accurately sprouting the right water in the right direction. But other than these the room is very clean and cozy for a cold winter's night. They provide slippers, mini fridge and space for your clothes/luggage and enough power outlets. The breakfast is so unique and cute - a combination of Western and Japanese dishes and their sumptuous. Salad is fresh, Rice is properly cooked and the dishes are absolutely flavourful. WiFi is a bit slow though. The best part if the location just in front of the hotel is a 7 eleven with lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Then behold the mountains behind the hotel on a clear day you will see the heavenly majestic amazingly wonderful Mt. Yotei, with its perfect pyramid cone shape they say it is the Mt. Fuji of Hokkaido. We are lucky to see it on our stay and we took hundreds of photos and videos and even walked into the back of the hotel walking along the creek and into the endless snow blanketed fields. If you look West from the hotel beholds Niseko Mt. Resort Grand Hirafu, a vast ski resort from the top of Mt. Annupuri. At the base lies the lovely Hirafu Village with many shops and restaurants along its path. There is a free shuttle bus from the hotel that goes to Hirafu Center and at the same your could also walk for about 15 mins from Hirafu Village back to the hotel. It is indeed a unique and memorable experience staying at this place and although we only stayed overnight it felt like days. One of the amazing dish we tried here is the famous Hokkaido Miso Butter Ramen, which is truly unique, refreshing and divine. Finally, if we ever go back to Niseko there is no doubt we will stay again here at My Ecolodge - a great place to be.
Ten to Ten Hostel

Need to walk around 20 minutes from Sapporo station. Hard to find since there is no sign or poster on the entry writing hostel . Rather cafe , after going 3 times round the block I finally read in small print ten to ten . 10 minutes away from any seven eleven or family mart, 30 minutes away from Ōdōri park , I found the location to be not ideal . On their website they write they have a laundromat , which is wrong . No washing machine , I find it disappointing in Japan where every hostels or hotels have one . The lady at the desk told me to go and wash clothes is quite far . Also don’t believe the photos on their website or promotions pictures . There is no park down the building . It’s a small hostel in a small street isolated from the rest of the neighborhood. For the hostel itself , classic , nothing to say except some of the curtains on their bed don’t close properly , the bed is very comfortable , bathroom clean and you can change towels every day . Breakfast is for free every morning at 8 and it is a coffee and a small bread . Still delicious . Staff is not always on the premises, morning and evening . In a nutshell. Was good for a short stay but will definitely look for another one with better equipment ( laundromat ) and better location ( closer to a family mart ) next time .

I spent my first time here in Sapporo. Even I mistakenly went to Plat Hostel Ichiba but this place is much better for walking. Plat Hostel Sky is on the road that leads straight to Airport Bus and Sapporo train station. The room has a free towel, a flashlight,a line for hanging clothes inside the bed and shared in the room ,3 hangers, one small safe storage to contain your purse, passport,or charger, two electric sockets, and 2 USB A ports. I am 185 cm tall. The bed is big and private enough for me. There is not a locker for your luggage so you need to place them somewhere properly in the room. The kitchen is next to the lobby which is good to keep your meal cool or even cooking. They will provide you free tea and coffee. The staff are so friendly and ready to help you anytime. If you don't find them at the reception you can call them by hostel phone. The shower rooms are so compact. There is a shower, a faucet, a hairdryer ,and free body soap, shampoo and conditioner. There are toilets for each gender on each floor except the 3rd floor which is for laundry. Both 2 washing machines and dryers work nicely!!! Everything is clean!!! If you keep everything clean as well.

This time I came to Furano and found that the accommodation was mostly expensive and the CP value was low. Finally, I looked at the youth hotel. This youth hotel that has not been opened for a long time has become my choice. It is self-driving. The parking lot has to be reserved in advance. When you arrive, there are still many seats, and you have to charge 500 yen parking fee. The following are evaluated from all aspects: Location: Because it is self-driving, not affected by the station, but close to JR station, located in the center of Furano, but it is quite cold near the evening, after all, this is not a metropolis, the parking lot is not next to the youth hostel is also a weakness, It's a short walk, and it's hard if it's snowing. Service: Youth travel does not need too much service, but the service attitude of the counter staff is very good, after the shift will see people will say hello, this is very good, the introduction is also very serious, will not be perfunctory because it is a foreigner, the service is good overall. Facilities: This time I stayed in a family triple room, there was their own space, the room was unexpectedly large, and there was room to spread out two suitcases (but I don't think it's possible to live for four people), the socket lights, etc. were all adequate, the bathroom had its own exclusive area available, using the room key, No need to rob the tenants in the Datong room, this is superb, the kitchen is on different floors, the kitchen is quite complete, you can make a big meal, the facilities are perfect. Meals: This youth hotel has no meals, so no comments. Overall evaluation: The parking lot is far away, and there are three-person rooms more expensive. In addition, there is no disadvantage. It is a very good youth travel. If you want to save money for travel, I think this youth hotel is definitely the first choice.

Front desk attendant was very friendly and polite - please be aware that you may have to knock on the glass front door if you do not yet have your access PIN as it is often locked. Small lockers for luggage (backpack size) are available free of charge - you will either require a small padlock or purchase one for just 100yen in the machine next to the lockers. In accordance with its price, the room furnishings are of simple wooden construction but very spacious inside and have a nice natural scent of pine as you sleep 😌. Plenty of shared access amenities such as guest fridge, freezer, microwave, etc. Location is ideal as it is next to JR noboribetsu station, from which you can pay roughly ¥650 for a round trip (12 minutes each way) bus ticket to Hell valley (jigokudani). Incredible alternative to a stay in the large hotels up there for travellers on a budget, particularly as most hotels will sell access to their onsens to non-guests for around ¥2,000!

This’s my first capsule hotel so everything was new to me. You literally get a bed with small locker at the top and big locker under bed. When u check in, u get a pair of slippers and a towel. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom in the common area has six sinks and it was not crowded at all. There are washers n dryers which were super convenient. There’s a hugh common area but I never saw anyone sitting there. People were quiet and respected the space. However there was one American lady who was on the phone n everyone could hear every word she said. Finally, after an hr, I asked her to be quiet n she immediately cut the talk. I enjoyed my stay. For US$49 for three nights at the heart of Sapporo, there’s no better deal.

It's a very enjoyable accommodation experience. The president is a really nice person and the whole space is clean. Small but reasonable area. If you are traveling alone, it is recommended if you have a limited budget. Very pleasant stay experience, the boss is really very good, and the whole space is very clean, although not big, but the partition is reasonable. I highly recommend it if I travel alone and have a limited budget. It's a very pleasant accommodation experience. The boss is really nice and the whole space is very clean. Although it is not big, the zoning is reasonable. If you travel alone with a limited budget, I highly recommend it.
Rusutsu Grand Cabin

Japan is one of a very small number of countries where I consider hostel-style accommodations. The Grand Cabin Rusutsu did not disappoint. I stayed in their shared room, in the style of a simple capsule hotel, with shared bathrooms and other facilities (there are also 'private' rooms but I believe they all share the common facilities). The capsule is quite private, with your own individual blind, a light, one 110V and one USB (A) socket; see attached photo. Shared facilties are impeccably clean (no idea how they do that). Surprisingly, although I was in a room with 19 other people, everybody was extremely polite and considerate. Most of the time you barely heard that there were other people around. The staff is very nice and friendly. Shuttle goes 3 times in the morning to Rusutsu resort (8,9,10am) and back 3 times back (I always took the first one, at 4pm, not sure about the other times). The Lawson conbini 2 minutes away is super convenient for food etc. There is a restaurant on the first floor which is open to the public. This is the 'grill your own meat' style. I tried it once and it was OK. I was the oldest guest (by quite a margin) but I did not feel out of place. Had nice conversations with some of the others, about half from Asia (various countries) and the other half Westerners (Aussies, Canadians and a single American). Costwise, it is an enormous bargain compared to the Resort itself. In particular of course for solo travelers. If I come back to Rusutsu I will for sure stay there again!

It's a hostel and it's really clean. Double rooms are cheaper but also have a private shower and toilet. In particular, the common space on the first floor is spacious. If you want to leave your suitcase at the hostel, you have to pay about $1.30. Several subway stations are within a 5-minute walk and there are many convenience stores. In particular, since Nijo Market was right in front, I bought salmon roe at a really cheap price.

I normally don’t do places with shared bathrooms by this was the most conveniently located accommodation near the train station. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised by how new it was and that breakfast was offered. I really enjoyed my stay and the English speaking staff. It is simple and the rooms are tight but it is worth it if you’re just trying to see the fields or the famous aoi ike/ blue pond. There is a bus nearby that will go by the pond and other sites. However the schedule is aggressive (only 15 minutes at the pond before the next bus leaves) so I suggest taking a taxi. They charge 7000 yen for 1.5 hours or 9500 for 2 hours since it takes a while to get there and back. Most taxis in town have this course that you can choose from.
