My First Hostel Experience — And It Was a Blast!
Ostello Bello Palermo was my first-ever hostel stay, and honestly — it was an amazing surprise! At first, I was placed in a room with all guys, but when I asked to switch, the staff quickly and kindly arranged a change for me. Each room has 11 beds and 2 showers, and everything was super clean, which I really appreciated. The common area is lovely — warm, welcoming, and full of life. That night, there was a DJ party that lasted until 1 a.m., and sleeping was definitely not an option… but I was in the spirit of experimentation, so I just went with it and ended up dancing and having a great time. I met some amazing local musicians who were born in Palermo, and we had such a fun night hanging out and talking. It felt like a truly authentic and spontaneous experience. Breakfast was tasty, with a good selection. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly — especially one guy at the reception (I wish I remembered his name!) who was just the sweetest. Thank you for making my first hostel stay so special. I’ll never forget it 💛

The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and washrooms were neatly maintained too. Breakfast was tasty and was available at a nominal cost.

Très bien situé avec arrêt bus proche mais pensez à préciser que c'est dans une résidence, avec portier car il n'y a aucune indication avec le nom de l'auberge devant le portail.
Très bon petit déjeuner diversifié, distributeur d'eau minérale ou gazeuse gratuite
La chambre dortoir luxe femme serait parfaite si les lits avaient des rideaux pour plus d'intimité et des essui mains dans la salle de bain.

LOL Hostel is located close to the Siracuse train station. Just 2 minutes'walk! It is extremely convenient if you go there by train. There are lots if seating areas in the reception area. You can watch TV and surf Internet there. There is also a bar and an open kitchen with a fridge. There is also an outdoor seating area. The bedroom is clean and quiet. I had a good sleep there.

Very good location for this hostel. I recommend if you’re visiting Catania and only need a place to sleep! The staffs are friendly and for the price it is worth it.
Everything is walkable by distance, even to the airport is possible! Took me 55 minutes (I did it 5am in the morning, I don’t recommend doing it any other time of the day) as it might get busier..the pavements are okay but not the best for pedestrians

CCabbiehkThe facilities were good and the hostel provided a fridge, stoves and cooking utensils. The room and the toilets were most of the time clean. Each was provided with one big locker. You can use the washing machine for 4 Euro and hang the clothes in the balcony. One major problem was sound insulation. The windows could not be completely closed and the room was facing a busy street. It was particularly busy during weekends as the cars and motorbikes might turn up music when they were driving late at night.

GGuest UserExcellent location to explore the old town of Palermo. We were 2 nights here. Something unusual you can find the rooms after a trip with an medieval lift in the 1st floor of a living house. Our room was top clean, as well as the bathroom. A small balcony to the street offers room for smoking. Rudy side street. After 300 meters you are in the middle of the nightlife. Absolute further recommendation. Very good price-performance ratio.
