It's been quite a while since i last stayed at the Kings Arms... and this trip reminded me why! There is very little choice of Hotels in the area, and Kings Arms is centrally located in Westerham with many decent Pubs and Restaurants in close proximity. The Hotel had undergone a lot of fairly recent External Renovation and looks amazing from the outside... maybe one day they can progress to modernising the interior. Bar Area and Restaurant areas are absolutely fine, and you cannot fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the Staff. However, the journey upstairs with the threadbare carpet kinda lets you know what is instore for you inside the room. On this most recent stay, the room itself was HUGE! I booked a deluxe Double. Massive Bed, and ample furniture. Carpet threadbare in places and the Central Heating Radiator didn't work. A small Electric heater had been placed in the room, but due to the enormity of the size, it was inadequate to produce any real warmth in the room. Poor quality lighting.. but i thinks that made me by design! The Bathroom was equally large, but similar to the room (and others i've stayed in previous) i suspect maybe the 1980's was the last time it had a facelift. It was adequate to take a wee, and clean my teeth.. but i could only imagine my wife's reaction to the sheer thought of taking a Bath in there! It's such a shame really... perfect location to stay for either Business while working at Biggin Hill Airport, or for a weekend getaway with the wife. However, if the latter... i would seriously advise to take a look across the road. You'll have a much happier wife!! This could be an amazing hotel - but it sure does need a lot of work on the inside.

What an amazing hidden gem this is. Nestled on a hill top overlooking the marshes with Warehorn church over the road, this pub with rooms is a must for a romantic get away. We arrived early and had a drink in the bar, which is beautifully quirky, a welcoming log fire burning and a wide selection of drinks. We had booked ”Niddy” an attic room with so much to give, a comfy bed, roll top bath, and so much character. The only ****** I had with the room, was the W.C squeezed into the roof space it was a little awkward to stand up and wee, but that's a small thing when it comes to such a great room. Requesting a quiet table for dinner, we were given one in a side area and again we couldn't believe it, it was super romantic and we had the whole room to ourselves. Our waiter Muli was so good, he was attentive but not intruding, and so funny, we haven't had many meals out and he really did make the evening. The food was excellent and the vegan burger was one of the best I have had. The location was brilliant, if you're into walking, cycling, birdwatching or wanting to visit local sites (rye was only 20min drive away) The rest of the staff were also brilliant, and couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely return.

Stayed with my son for 5 days. We truly enjoyed the stay. The hotel is really beautiful located by the yacht dock. The room is spacious with a balcony. The bed is comfortable and equipped with espresso machine and plenty of water and cookies.

This feels like good quality accommodation, despite being an Attic room the ceiling is quite high . However the room layout is naturally restricted so one twin bed is snuggled against the wall with restricted headroom. The payoff is a good sized ensuite with natural light . The upside in the summer is the aircon, the downside in the winter is the radiator adjacent to the twin bed. This is a small twin room next to a pub with lots of history,

Tastefully decorated, set in a old barn behind the pub, continental breakfast in the room. Restaurant is not open on a Monday and the bar closes at 8pm. No nearby shops. Own parking space. Downside blind did not work and the Refuse collection came at 05.45 ! Overall charming place to stay

The room was too cold and there was no air conditioning. There are no disposable items such as slippers, toothbrushes. The cafe is close to the roadside with a good view

The room is in the family room on the top floor. The narrow stairs are bent around the room. The big box is not lifted. Parking is in the parking lot opposite the hotel. From 21:00 to 7:00 in the evening, 2 pounds all night, other times 2.7 pounds/hour, the first floor of the hotel is a restaurant bar, the young lady who stayed in is very enthusiastic, The location is right by the river, very close to the cathedral, go left and right to go to the central area very quickly, Canterbury is very comfortable to walk in the morning and evening, there are several choices for breakfast, order in person, and do delicious.

Hot strong shower, the room is clean except the carpet which is a bit filthy. Very good and speedy check in, but it's manned only in the am and evening. We returned at 11pm one night while the car park was all full. We had a bit of a headache

Good fish and chips and craft beer, comfortable bed for a good sleep

Advantages: The surrounding environment is beautiful, with its own small river pier for weekend cruises, the balcony is very large and comfortable, the breakfast is very rich, the coffee is delicious; the staff service is very warm, friendly, relaxed, and the price is super high. 2. Insufficient: poor sound insulation in the room, easy to block the water in the shower room, and general room hygiene
