A great hotel for one night, 5-10 minutes from the airport.
+ The main advantages are the free shuttles to and from the airport every hour.
+The inclusion of breakfast.
+ The hotel grounds are lovely, with plenty of seating in the courtyard.
+ There's also a restaurant where you can order lunch or dinner.
+ The room is basic, with tea and coffee available.
Cons:
– We didn't get our breakfast, even though we arrived at the appointed time. We waited 25 minutes for breakfast to be brought out for guests in other rooms who were traveling to the airport later than us. Ultimately, we were given packed lunches.
– We had a family room. Tthere's no door between the rooms, and the bathroom door is a folding door, which lets in all the noise and makes a lot of noise.
– The bed was sagging on one side.
– While taking a shower, the hot water went out for a couple of minutes, but then it came back on.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional service we received at this hotel. My elderly mother traveled all the way from China to Johannesburg and then to Windhoek, and the hotel staff truly went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and safety. They arranged a seamless pickup upon her arrival and a timely drop-off the following day, which made her feel incredibly supported throughout her journey. She raved about the excellent service, and I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The breakfast was delightful, offering a great start to the day. Overall, we had a fantastic experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a warm and accommodating place to stay!

I was transferring from Johannesburg to Shanghai when I called the service, and they ordered a taxi to pick me up. At first, my card was declining, but they were so patient until the payment went through. They were very kind, and the service was great. Every time I visit Johannesburg, I will be staying there. The apartment had two separate bedrooms, but I only used one, along with a kitchen and living room suitable for two families. I really enjoyed my stay.

We had an amazing stay at Menlyn Maine. Although our stay was short, the staff were professional. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The location is secure and is very close to Menlyn Mall and other malls and cute restaurants nearby. Our only complaint would be that we could not use the laundry service because it takes long for the clothes to be returned. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Would recommended to both non picky travelers and the boujie girls.

Recentemente, fiquei hospedado na OR Tambo Guest House por três noites e tive uma ótima experiência. Como meu voo chegou muito tarde da noite, a equipe gentilmente sugeriu um motorista para me buscar, o que foi incrivelmente atencioso e tornou minha chegada tranquila.
A pousada estava impecavelmente limpa (5/5) e o serviço foi excelente (5/5) – a equipe foi simpática, prestativa e atenciosa durante toda a minha estadia. A localização era conveniente (4/5), próxima ao aeroporto, embora não haja muitas outras opções a uma curta distância a pé.
As comodidades eram razoáveis (4/5), oferecendo tudo o que eu precisava para uma estadia confortável. Embora a decoração não fosse a minha favorita (3/5), isso não prejudicou a experiência geral. O café da manhã tinha opções limitadas, mas não me incomodou – era suficiente para começar o dia.
No geral, é um lugar acessível para se hospedar, oferecendo um ótimo custo-benefício. Eu o recomendaria para qualquer pessoa que esteja procurando um lugar limpo e conveniente perto do Aeroporto OR Tambo.

GGuest UserChecked in and had to wait for an hour for electricity no updates provided my room was near the power room so I could hear doors opening and closing and the electricity physically clicking and tripping. On and off on and off. When I settled into bed with light off, I received a knock at the door by guest asking me to open the gate for them as they did not receive a gate key. I a single female then had to get up put on clothes and go outside to let their guest out. I got over the lights shining into room and gaps in front door leading to courtyard with a blind that was blowing forward and basically showing me inside in any state. The electricity issue was happening consistently and could hear them walking in and out constantly. Wednesday I had a big presentation and got up at 05:30 to no electricity or update. I had to call them for information and was offered a flash light. I did my presentation with my hair undone due to not being able to use my hair machine. The owner found me in the smoking section and apologised worried he would be receiving a 1 star. I told him I wouldnt as I am in the service industry and him apologising is good enough. However I was further disappointed by more electricity issues and no update. I had to get ready with front door open and all blinds open to do my hair and makeup. Guests were walking past requesting updates, we had to reach out to them. No information provided. Shocking.

I recently stayed at OR Tambo Guest House for three nights and had a great experience. Since my flight arrived very late at night, the staff kindly suggested a driver to pick me up, which was incredibly thoughtful and made my arrival stress-free.
The guest house was impeccably clean (5/5), and the service was excellent (5/5) – the staff was friendly, accommodating, and attentive throughout my stay. The location was convenient (4/5), being close to the airport, though not much else is within walking distance.
The amenities were decent (4/5), offering all the basics I needed for a comfortable stay. While the aesthetic wasn’t my favorite (3/5), it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Breakfast had limited options, but I wasn’t upset about it – it was enough to start the day.
Overall, it’s an affordable place to stay, offering great value for the price. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and convenient spot near OR Tambo Airport.

The guesthouse offered a peaceful residential setting while still being conveniently located near Sandton and key amenities. The breakfast each morning was a highlight — generous portions with options ranging from full English breakfasts to lighter continental choices. The parents especially appreciated the quality and effort put into the meals. The rooms were clean, practical, and suitable for a family stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, creating a relaxed environment that made us feel safe and at ease. Transport logistics in and out were manageable via Uber, although occasional driver issues with change were noted. Overall, Bellgrove provided a homely and dependable base for the Johannesburg portion of our trip.

GGuest UserI had a very pleasant stay there. Everyone working at the property was kind and helpful, the property owner as well.
We had nice discussions and if I needed an advice, they'd help me.
The place is clean, quiet and orderly.
The internet is fast and there are all amenities possible for cooking.
The only little downside is that some days the water was lukewarm and due to the cold weather it wasn't pleasant but I don't know why that happened and it was temporary - I forgot to ask if they noticed it.
But really, nothing to complain about.
There are a few stores around where to buy food for cooking, some bars, not far from them a concert venue that programmes alternative music such as old school hip hop and punk and there's a cultural entre one minute from the venue.

The space itself is very beautiful, atmospheric, rooms all very convenient, modern. The staff are very friendly, kind and solve any questions! Very grateful and advise to the settlement! AAnonymous UserI chose this place because I liked the free pick-up and free breakfast. However, in fact, the last pick-up was at 11 o'clock in the evening. I arrived at the airport at 11 o'clock. I said that the pick-up at night would be charged. I am willing to pay, but I can't come to the arrival floor to pick me up. I can be at the bus station. It is well known. South Africa is naturally in a mess, and the probability of being robbed on the road at night is very high! Finally, I paid for a taxi to their hotel and found that the door was closed! The location of the hotel is very biased, there is no street light at night, the black light is blind, the driver is black, everyone is in the position to think about it, feel panic? I know that the front desk will get off work at 11 o'clock in the evening, but I have already emailed that I will land at 11 o'clock and arrive at 12 o'clock. They know it, but they still don't leave anyone. After waiting for a long time, the driver came back and opened the door. At the beginning, the driver refused to give me the door key and asked me to add 200 rand for the night stay. I don't know the cost. I didn't inform when I placed the order on Trip.com. On the second day, I took the shuttle bus to the airport and there was no time to eat breakfast. An unpleasant stay!

GGuest UserStaying at Foreva Wild is a wonderful experience, the staff are super-friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is comfy. Location is great since it's inside the nature reserve , and as I was driving around I spotted plenty of wild animals! There are also guided safari drives nearby which were easy for me to book. The lodge is secure and clean. Breakfast is delicious. Wi-fi is okay , some spots are understandably slow with connection. Recommend using mobile data or bring your own mini-router/dongle. Overall, good value for money and you can be sure to be well taken care of at Foreva Wild !

GGuest UserThe rooms were generally quite clean, with a few bugs because of some of the open windows. There was a fan and aircon provided so closing windows is an option. Had hot water even when there was load-shedding (planned municipal power outages). The staff are friendly, helpful, and willing to work with you to make your stay pleasant. There was a pool, and the grounds were quite nice, with some pretty outdoor seating areas. The food was generally quite good, although a little limited for vegetarians.
