"This hotel is perfectly situated on a hillside in the heart of the village, offering convenient access and excellent views. The service is incredibly attentive, with seamless arrangements for transfers to and from the scenic area entrance. Every staff member is genuinely warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Breakfast is prepared with great care, and they even sent us off with a small gift and drinks for our journey. What truly stands out is that every evening, the guesthouse hosts 4-5 incredibly talented artists performing Dong Grand Songs. "First time in Guiyang, we chose to stay in Huaguoyuan. The area is really lively, and we picked this art gallery hotel. It's not a real art gallery, but it certainly feels like one!
📍 The location is super close to the White House (the local landmark), just a few minutes' walk away, so you can enjoy the White House night view 🌃.
🏨 Every corner feels like an art exhibition, with sculptures, paintings, and designer furniture.
🛏 We even stayed in a Minion-themed room! Banana yellow colors, Minion pillows, and wall murals 💛. The attention to detail was amazing.
The room featured a smart toilet and smart home control – you could just speak to turn off lights and close curtains. The bedding was comfortable, and the toiletries were high-quality.
💡 Little Tips:
* I recommend visiting Huaguoyuan Wetland Park at dusk to capture the White House during 'blue hour' 🌆. The lights are on from 8 PM to 12 AM, making for great photos.
* The hotel lobby and corridors are also very photogenic. Solid-colored clothing would look great there.
* If you book one day in advance, the hotel offers a complimentary pick-up or drop-off service to/from the station or airport once! (Available from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM)."

The guesthouse is located in the core area of Zhenyuan Ancient Town, offering a quiet environment and a convenient location. It is only a one-minute walk to landmark attractions such as the Qinglong Cave, Zhusheng Bridge, and Shiping Mountain. Additionally, it only takes a few minutes to walk to the museum, ancient alleys, pier, and other places.
Situated by the river, every room in the homestay is a scenic-view room, with both the balcony and the rooftop terrace providing the best views. The decor is stylish and well-designed and equipped with an elevator and central air conditioning. The guest rooms feature a dry-wet separation layout and are furnished with convenient amenities such as a coffee machine, a mini refrigerator, and a mini washing machine.
"I recently stayed at Gu Lai Xi Hotel @ 鎭远古镇and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, clearly reflecting the hotel’s recent renovation (just a year ago). Everything felt fresh, clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort.
What truly made my stay special, however, was the exceptional hospitality of the owners. They were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. Whether it was providing local tips or assisting with any requests, their warmth made me feel right at home.
The location is perfect - quiet and peaceful, yet conveniently close to Zhen Yuan’s key attractions. I loved how easy it was to explore the nearby landmarks without being in a noisy tourist area.

"Love this place 😘. Everything that I ever wanted to live in an ancient town, this place has ALL to offer. The basement mall is just outside the ancient city where shopping and food malls even a large sized supermarket are all within reach. Matcha cafe is also just 2 minutes walk away from the hotel.

Zhenyuan County has a long history, with winding rivers in the city, and many ancient buildings, traditional houses, and historical docks inside and outside the city. Jiangshanji is located on the hillside of Zhenyuan Ancient City. Not only can you experience the unique karst landforms of Guizhou, but you can also see the ancient city's historic Qinglong Cave and the naturally formed Fuyang River through the hotel window. When the night lights come on, overlooking half of the city, I hope it will bring you a moment of peace of mind. JJohn Charles ChasteenThe Creekside Inn has modern, elegantly designed rooms (I can’t emphasize that enough), a very good location with beautiful views, and a friendly, capable staff, that truly goes out of its way to be helpful— all of this at quite favorable prices. The water is hot and the bed is heated for winter in the mountains. I stayed four days, and would’ve stayed longer had I had time, just because I felt so wonderfully at home there. I left with plans to return with my wife next year. English spoken. Oh，and I got a splendid breakfast tailored to my individual dietary requirements! I have visited 35 countries and traveled all over China, and I have never been happier with my accommodations anywhere!

GGuest UserThe butler contacted me a day in advance. We agreed to meet at the west gate, and as soon as he saw us, he helped with our luggage and accompanied us all the way to the hotel. He even prepared afternoon tea for us beforehand. The hotel's location isn't far from the observation deck, which is very convenient!
The service was excellent. Since there weren't many people, they even helped us upgrade our room.
The room's view was absolutely stunning. I didn't want to leave the room; I could lie down and see the entire Miao village, with its water, bridges, and tiled houses, all from a prime spot. There's also an observation deck upstairs, which is definitely on par with any other popular photo spot in the village.
After visiting all the popular spots in the Miao village, I still felt that the view from the room was the best.
Next time I visit, I'll definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserWe arrived in Xijiang and were immediately met with such a kind surprise—they upgraded our room for my birthday, which truly set the tone for our entire stay. We were on the third floor with the most wonderful view, looking out over their little water feature and the village beyond. Our balcony, complete with a tea set and two chairs, quickly became one of our favorite spots. Sitting there, especially in the evening, felt magical—like we were nestled among the stars overlooking the town.
The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the viewing platform and easily accessible down into the main village. Arriving was also incredibly smooth. As first-time visitors to China, we were quite nervous navigating trains and logistics as English speakers, but the hotel staff stepped in early with clear, thoughtful guidance. From the very beginning, they were attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind.
When we arrived at the North Gate after taking the shuttle into the scenic area, a staff member met us and carried both of our bags up the hill and stairs to the accommodation. This was such a thoughtful gesture—especially because the terrain can be challenging. (For future travelers: if possible, avoid bringing heavy suitcases—but if you do, you’ll be very well taken care of here.)
Check-in was seamless, and our room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities we needed. They provided water, soft robes, and made communication very easy via WeChat. Breakfast was also a highlight—we opted for the Chinese breakfast, which was light, healthy, and a perfect way to start the day before exploring all the incredible street food in town.
We especially loved the communal living space—a cozy café-style area with a balcony overlooking the village. It was such a peaceful place to sit, have tea, and take in the views both during the day and under the night sky. They also had everything you could need: a coffee maker, dishes, mugs, and even fresh spring water, which was a lovely touch.
The warmth of the people here truly made the experience unforgettable. The housekeeping staff were so kind, and the younger staff members were incredibly helpful and attentive. It really felt like being welcomed into a home rather than just staying at a hotel. And the little cats around the property made it even more special.
On our departure day, we were running late for the last bus, and one of the younger staff members carried my very heavy bag down the hill and practically ran with it to make sure we made it on time. He stayed with us until we were safely on board. That level of care and service is something we will never forget.
We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, thank you, thank you again to the family and the entire staff for your kindness and for taking such wonderful care of us. You made our short stay in Xijiang an absolute pleasure and a weekend we will remember forever.

GGuest UserFive-star review! The location is quite close to the Malinghe Canyon, just a 5 yuan taxi ride away. The whole room is equipped with smart home technology, the facilities are relatively new and complete, and the rooms are quite spacious. It's comparable to guesthouses and hotels in Guiyang that cost three times more, offering excellent value for money… There are also convenient places to eat breakfast nearby… The owner is very welcoming, thumbs up!

GGuest UserSister Yingzi is very hospitable, sincere and comfortable with others. This time I was traveling with my parents and brother during the National Day. The room I booked was spacious enough to live in, and the facilities were new and clean. The pictures and texts of many B&Bs I have stayed in before are very inconsistent. Sister Yingzi's place is better than the pictures and expectations. Every corner is cleaned well and considered very thoughtfully.
The location of the small courtyard is very good. It is right on the road, which is also suitable for friends who drive by themselves. The local driver recommended by Sister Yingzi was also very helpful. Due to a time arrangement error that day, we almost missed the high-speed train. Sister Yingzi helped us deal with it in a timely manner.
The decoration of the villa is also very tasteful. The courtyard is also very clean and comfortable. I stayed with my mother for a while in the evening and it was very pleasant. I just forgot to take pictures. My mother said she liked it very much. Unfortunately, the schedule was tight and I couldn't stay a few more days. Next time I will stay here again when I come to Anshun.
The bean and rice hotpot and breakfast shop recommended by Sister Yingzi are both delicious, and I particularly like the taste. This is the first time I write such a long review, because it is worth it. I wish Sister Yingzi’s B&B will get better and better 👍 I recommend everyone to stay here! !

GGuest UserSo glad we chose this guesthouse for New Year's Eve! There wasn't much open in Zunyi city, and the owner here actually invited all the guests to a reunion dinner – so incredibly welcoming. The room was great too, with a large balcony that offered a view of most of the festivities. If you don't want to be in the thick of the crowd, watching the 'iron flower' show from the room actually gives you a better view. The room had a heater, so it was super warm in winter. Coming back to a cozy room after freezing outside at the show was fantastic. The hygiene was excellent, on par with Hanting or Atour. We also had the sour fish soup in the guesthouse the next day; it was a generous portion and not expensive at all. Highly recommend staying here!

The daily complimentary fruit platter was a highlight—diverse, fresh, and deliciously sweet. Our room was spotless and well-organized, feeling spacious and bright. All facilities were well-maintained, ensuring a very comfortable stay. Every aspect exceeded our expectations; the attention to detail was truly impressive, and it offered excellent value for money. It's perfect whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway or a short trip. I'll definitely choose this place again when I return to Qianhu Miao Village.

RRaghunath C G NairAmazing! Fascinating! Fanjingshan was the final stop of our memorable 10-day tour of Guizhou Province, and we truly could not have chosen a better place to conclude our journey. We felt genuinely blessed to stay at this lovely guesthouse for three nights. From the very beginning, the owner Mr. Zhang Haotian and his family made us feel completely at home; they were warm, engaging, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile.
The rooms are tastefully designed and thoughtfully laid out, perfectly sized for comfort. Our room offered a soothing view of the river, along with a private balcony; an ideal spot to relax with your favourite tea or coffee. The modern touches were impressive too, especially the high-tech sensor toilet, which added a pleasant surprise. The three-storey guesthouse is equipped with an elevator, a thoughtful convenience for guests with heavy luggage or those who may find climbing stairs challenging.
Dinner, lovingly cooked by the family, was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that reflected both their hospitality and culinary skill. Every meal felt homely and satisfying. We only wish we had taken more and better photographs of the guesthouse. Without a doubt, this is one place we will return to.
As for the enchanting Fanjing Mountain itself, the owner drove us to the scenic area entrance. He even offered to pick us up later, but we chose to walk back instead, enjoying the cool climate. Fanjing Mountain is magical in its own right. The steep cable car ride to the summit, which takes over 20 minutes, was an experience in itself, offering breathtaking views of the mountain ranges stretching endlessly around us. At the top stands the age-old Buddhist temple, serene and awe-inspiring, perfectly harmonising with its natural surroundings.
We loved the guesthouse, we are very grateful to Mr. Zhang and his family for their kindness, and deeply thankful for the unforgettable experience at Fanjing Mountain. It was the perfect ending to a remarkable journey.

SSte&GioThis guesthouse is stunning and amazing at the same time. I work in the tourism field and I have never seen such an amazing and accurated caring for guests.
The host and his wife are the nicest persons ever met in my life. Knowledgable in everything, excellent professional hosts who know how to make your trip an amazing and successful trip.
Rooms are clean, spacious, with all the amenities a guest needs with a really good sense for the design. At the ground floor they have such a nice space for all guests where people can relax themselves by reading, drinking a good cup of local tea or coffe and simply facing the mesmerising view of the Dong Village and experiencing an indoor campfire. We had a wonderful night around the fire with some new Chinese friends and the host too. We sang all together and there was no language barrier which could stop us. We had such a wonderful moment. One of the best in my life.
Breakfast is speechless. Something extremely good with lots of varieties of food. They know how to accomodate every single request.
This place is a AAAAA place.

The hotel has a very pleasant environment. It features a balcony overlooking the river, offering beautiful night views. Located within the scenic area, it's very close to all the attractions. I highly recommend staying here. Right opposite the hotel entrance, there's also a breakfast shop offering delicious and affordable options.
